This Residence Inn is old and weary. Hallways are dark. Our room was a single queen bed. The layout was tight with very little room to walk around the bed. The furniture was beaten up, nicked and pieces of baseboard were missing. (See pic) Significant black mold was growing on the small corner shelf in the shower ( see pic). Ceiling in bathroom appears to have had previous damage which they repaired ( very sloppy job) and did not paint over. (See pic). The seal around the toilet is completely dried up and broken. No luggage rack available to sit your suitcase on. TV in the bedroom was non-functional. Breakfast was average. Positive notes: Housekeeping staff are very friendly! Room was very quiet; did not hear neighbors or traffic. Overall: this hotel has not had adequate upkeep and for the price, there are other options available locally.…
BEWARE - this hotel is located right next to the end of a long downgrade on a major highway. The sound of the trucks air-breaking went on all night. When you check in make sure to ask for rooms that aren’t on that side of the building. Everything else was pleasant. Just no sleep.
This hotel was clean, well-located and overall just fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a troupe of hippos staying above me (nocturnal ones, apparently), which of course the hotel can't help, but my real reason for not being super happy with this Res Inn (I stay in alot of them, as I travel constantly) was the so-called breakfast. Whoever plans their breakfasts clearly dislikes protein. Greasy sausage (which I can't eat) and lots and lots of carbs was pretty much it. One morning they had cold hard-boiled eggs, as well, but not even scrambled eggs. If you want a tortilla filled with cheese and toppings, or pure carbs or cold cereal for breakfast, then by all means stay here. But if you expect a normal Res Inn breakfast, you will be disappointed.
I prefer cool, but the A/C in the room I was in really cooled things down. I was there in AUG '21 when the days were about 80, but the humidity kept the nights in the low 70s. I was never warm in that room & at times it got too cold. But I'll take that during the summer. Just cutting to the chase, I'll offer my only criticism now - the hotel ought to have some USB charger ports, That's it. Everything else was fine by my standards. The room I was in was spacious & comfortable. The part of the road it's located has sparce traffic, so it was always quiet. There seemed to be ample surface parking. And since the rooms have a full kitchen, there's a Target very close by & a Walmart and a full service grocary store a bit further away. And they had the full breakfast back, so that was great. The room had everything I needed, incuding a very good internet connection & a nice big TV with a decent selection of channels. I would not hesitate to stay there agin, should I be in that same area in the future.…
The evening desk staff was poorly trained, not understanding I was Lifetime Titanium Elite. He begrudgingly upgraded to one room (can't upgrade to a second). No breakfast, etc. Manager came out and corrected him. Later he kept me on hold for more than 30 minutes to request a wake-up call. When I walked down to the lobby he was getting a snack. Should attend desk. But the hotel was fine. Room was clean; excellent workout room and warm swimming pool. Breakfast was adequate.
We spent four wonderful days at the Residence Inn Marlborough and could not have felt more welcome. From check in to departure, everything was great. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and even the grab and go breakfasts were tasty and filling. One thing that stood out was the amazing staff. Everyone did everything they could to make us feel at home, from the front desk staff to the awesome housekeeping staff. Smiles were the order of the day anytime we interacted with anyone with the hotel. One particular customer service superstar stood out though, and that was Martina at the front desk. From retrieving a breakfast from the kitchen to answering a general question about the area, she always had a smile for everyone. (Yes, she was wearing a mask, but it's easy to tell there was a smile behind it.) We highly recommend this location for anyone needing a comfortable location to spend a night (or a month) while in the area. …
When I arrived here in April 2021, I realized that I stayed here a number of years ago. That time, there was a weekend kids' ice hockey tourney. There's an ice rink sports complex across the street. Let shout say that the noise levels in the hotel were what one would expect with a kids' ice hockey tourney. But, due to COVID, no such tourney was going on. The hotel was very quiet. Rooms are clean, but could use some updating. The bed was sagging a bit. Kitchen / full size fridge and freezer were great. The tap water was very good! Only downside are some of the other hotel guests. For some odd reason, they seemed to think it was appropriate to leave their garbage (take out food containers, etc.) in the hallways. This was several different rooms I had to pass on the way to my room on a few different stays and days. Hotel seemed to clean them up after a few hours, but other piles appeared in front of other rooms. Other than that, the stay was pretty good. I would stay again.…
Stopped here on our trip to Florida, pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was. Comfortable beds quiet hotel all made for a good nights sleep. Would stay here again for sure. Staff were great and so was the breakfast. You can't go wrong staying here.
I originally booked a mid-range hotel, which was an Extended Stay; and it was smelly and disgusting, all throughout the property. I quickly returned to the front desk to battle for a refund, which I ended up getting after quite an ordeal. It was 11PM+ at night, and I suddenly am in my car with no booking. I've had this same exact situation once before, and the first time I ended up just raising the budget and staying at a Residence Inn by Marriot, which ended up being a great decision. And so, in this situation, I did the same thing. I booked the Residence Inn by Marriot, and drove over to check-in. Immediately upon entering the lobby, I knew it was the right choice. A large open, clean, well designed lobby, with a pleasant desk-clerk. The entire hotel had a clean smell, as did my room; which was very well cleaned and very spacious. Every time I stay at a Residence Inn by Marriot, I feel like I'm staying at a home away from home, not just some hotel room. I had a great night's stay, and enjoyed an early AM workout in the gym followed by a rinse-off shower & a swim. Choosing a stay at the Residence Inn by Marriot has always been a hole-in-one every time, which I cannot say for any other facility; and I've visited alot. 5 Stars.…
Great location if your up here for a weekend of hockey. The hotel is right across the street from the New England Sports Center. Which is a great plus if your games are there. Hotel itself is well kept and clean. The room size is nice and I love the kitchen space. I would have give this stay a 5 star rating if not for the odd smell in our room. I didn’t ask for room service to clean the room I just went out and bought Fabreze and some candles and opened the windows to air out the room which helped (somewhat).
