I prepaid via expedia for 2 nights and checked in and stayed one night and got a family emergency and had to DO AN EARLY check out the next morning but the hotel would not check me out.....This hotel has no early check out fee but it classed my early check out as a cancellation and stole my money.....they would not even check me out or give me a receipt of me leaving so they could steal my money.... Dont go to this hotel they lie steal and don't care about customers ... Jay M
So this is "the castle" that, if you're from the area or travel the Mass Tpke, you'll know it. You just will. We stayed here, even though we're locals, because my other half always wanted to stay at "the castle." We have two kids, it was NYE, they wanted to swim, we wanted to get out of the house (but stay put somewhere) so THE CASTLE seemed like a great idea. The lobby is quite lovely. Updated. Modern. Comfortable. Staff is nice. We had little interaction with the front desk and that's actually fine by me. The rooms are not super updated. At least our room was not. Two downsides in my opinion: 1) The ac/heat is below a window. That window has light that shines RIGHT onto the bed in the AM. So you really have to rig it closed so you can keep the light out in the AM. But that means you have to cover the heating/cooling unit. IT GOT SO HOT IN OUR ROOM. OMG. SO SO SO HOT. I barely slept. So that was a bummer. I didn't like it. Bathroom? Fine. Clean (most important). Water pressure is great (2nd most important). No idea why this is the norm, but they don't give you any additional linens for the pull out sofa (we had a king bed + pull out sofa for the kids). We had one pillow for the two of them so we gave them our "extra" pillows. No blanket, but if you read above, that wasn't an issue because it was SO HOT in the room. Did I mention how hot it got? The highlight of our stay was the bar (yep, naturally). Our kids were old enough to hang in the room for a few while we went down to have a couple drinks and relax for the first time since, who knows. I wish I remembered the name of the bartender. He's Irish, originally from Ireland, and BY FAR the very best bartender we've had in forever - anywhere. So great that we plan to go back to the restaurant/bar JUST to hopefully see him again. He made amazing drinks (as these drinks should be!). He was funny, witty, social, just SO much fun to chat with in between customers. He legit was the highlight of our visit there. GO see him if you are there. You won't be sorry. He's just a GREAT bartender!!! Those drinks were on point. There were events that night, as expected on NYE. So just go knowing that they are probably a pretty popular location for such events/parties/celebrations/meetings. Lastly, the pool. We did go to the indoor pool. Mother of all things, it was SO HOT in there too. Even my kids, stripped down to swim trunks, couldn't believe the temperature in that pool room. I had to leave after about 1/2 hour, i could not take it. The pool seemed clean, it was a pretty cool glowing blue, kind of dark in there, roomy, lots of clean towels (and dirty ones b/c people seem to have a hard time cleaning up after themselves), and lots and lots of lounge chairs, which was great. But toasty in there. Anyway, long review but your takeaways should be: 1) Drink there. Hope that the bartender is the same as ours b/c he's amazing! 2) Don't expect super updated rooms, they aren't. But ours was clean. …
I stayed here for a work trip and this was a great place to stay. The moment I arrived, I looked up as I was getting closer and saw it had a castle kind of decor, and that was awesome for me! I felt like I had travelled back in time. The hotel itself was very cozy. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. I would definitely stay here again.
When you pull up to the "castle" you think "this is going to be cool". Then you check in to the room and you find a smell that resembles a dirty sock. Then after a full day at a conference in the hotel you find out that it has been raining in your room all day even with the window closed. The shower is bubbled with mold and the carpet is amazingly disgusting. As a weekly traveler this is by far the second grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. Ironically both two gross hotels weren't Hiltons. If you are here for a conference, then come for the conference, hang out at the lounge but DO NOT STAY HERE. so gross. Look at my reviews, I am pretty positive but this was atrocious. Also I hope you don't need toilet paper. I checked in with less than half a roll. However, All staff members were fantastic …
old fashioned hotel. old stuff on rooms, dirty carpet, limited service. No restaurant options on Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday, bar close at 10pm... never got a Starbucks as is always closed when I tried. inside pool and gym are looks nice considering price, brand, totally below my expectations
They gave our room away and left our family of five stranded! I made a pre-paid reservation, that is, I knew going in that I would not be able to cancel my reservation. Fine. What happened was that they ran my credit card before I arrived and it didn't work, apparently it was scheduled by computer and ran automatically. I received a new credit card the day before and I didn't realize that the number was different. Instead of notifying me with my contact on file (my email) they chose NOT to contact me. I arrived by car after driving for 7 hours with my wife and three kids with NO PLACE TO STAY! There were not any rooms available anywhere in the Greater Boston Area short of spending thousands of dollars per night. Sheraton/Marriot has a policy that allows them to drop customers, even those like me who had agreed to a no cancellation policy, as a way to protect themselves from no shows. Guess what, I showed up (with money in my pocket) with my family and they pulled the carpet out from under our feet. Sheraton/Marriot cares about their bottom line NOT their customers.…
Honestly, I would only stay here again if attending an on-site event. The conference area, bar, and lobby are updated and nice, but the rooms could really use a major update (in fact, we stayed for an event a few years ago and rooms needed updating then). Our room was quite large, with sofa and sitting area, as well as a giant closet, so the space is set up well. It's just old - carpets were torn, paint scraped off walls, and I had to lift the wall air conditioner back into place; luckily it still worked (our friends' room did not), even though it was noisy. Bathrooms could use a redo as well - just very worn out, peeling wallpaper, and our sink faucets spun and leaked when we tried to turn the water on and off. And beware of the smaller elevators - my hand got stuck in one and the door wouldn't reopen until I hit the call button.…
This hotel must be terribly understaffed, because I called the number listed on their website (1-508-879-7200) several times today and was unable to get through to anyone who could help me with a reservation. Twice I got a general operator who, instead of connecting me to _this_ hotel's reservation system, transferred me into the entire Bonvoy automated reservation system, which (after several minutes) finally connected me to a live person, who then didn't understand that I was trying to get a room at the Framingham Sheraton. I don't know if this is normal; I had hoped to talk to someone at the front desk, because I had a lot of questions about the hotel in addition to wanting a reservation. So much for that. I'll look elsewhere.
Wouldn't go out of my way to stay here, but was in town for a nearby wedding and thought the hotel was clean and functional and the adjacent bar was convenient. All in all a clean place to rest ones head.
This hotel was amazing —Inviting lobby! Great staff, rooms were clean and modern. Bathrooms was on the small side but all rooms were good size, included fridge. Rate was reasonable, amenities were wonderful. Two pools both indoor and outdoor. Great fitness facility.
