Best time ever!!!

This was an amazing experience! All of the staff was amazing, but Johan de la Cruz was our server and he was fast and prompt and super kind. Johan was very helpful with all of our questions and other information that we needed to know for our stay. By far this is one of the best times I've spent in Playa del Carmen. Couple days prior we went to another resort Corasol and it was horrible so I really appreciate the experience at Maroma Resort... My friends also loved the place and especially the service. Thank you.

If you look for an exclusive experience, comfortable rooms and terrific service in a somewhat overly crowded touristic destination as Cancun and Playa del Carmen, look no further. Belmond is the safest choice. A boutique hotel, beautifully maintained, with a laid back yet luxury vibe. Great service from all the staff (beach, room, cleaning everyone indeed). A truly boutique hotel. We spent a week there at August 2016 and came back in January 1st, 2020 after having a frustrating experience with an overly crowded Fairmont Mayakoba.

EXCEEDED Expectations in EVERY way

The property, staff, accommodations, food and everything one could think of was exceptional in every way. If you are seeking a vacation where you do not want to worry about anything, then this is your place. We stayed for three nights and were delighted throughout our entire stay. The guest services (specifically Cristian) was ALWAYS helpful, professional and made you always feel as if you were his favorite guest. The servers at the dining were warm and caring. They always went out of there way to make sure we were pleased with every aspect of our meals. Moses and Daisy became like family - they were so wonderful! The property is EXCEEDINGLY well maintained! Everyday, I saw staff gardening ensuring that the grounds were immaculate. The attendants on the beach offering snacks was a VERY NICE special touch that also made the extra difference. Thank you to Assistant Front Desk Manager, Oziel for making sure we had every desire and request fulfilled to the fullest! We will definitely be back!!…

Paradise on Earth

We keep going back to this place. You enter with all the stress of your daily life and drive down the long jungle road to welcoming faces, a delicious Maroma margarita, and the sweet smell of copal!! Instant relaxation and joy! We return to our same room. There’s a welcome note on our bed made out of colored rice and some delicious snacks awaiting us with our favorite wine. We have direct view of swaying palm trees and the sea. Wonderful meals here. Love Tia’s morning quesadillas and snacks on the beach. Love the solitude. Love the pools and the spa. Love the beautiful lighted paths at night. The staff is there to meet your every need. A special call out to Julio (who mostly works on the beach)!! He is so helpful and courteous to everyone. He works tirelessly all day long and always with a smile. We hope to return again in 2020!!…

Amazing stay at Belmond Maroma.

Our stay at Belmond Maroma was amazing. Right from our arrival to the property until we left. The staff at Belmond Maroma were very attentive to anything we needed. The food in the restaurants was amazing. Service is amazing too. The guest rooms are very nice. Very comfortable beds. Lots of complimentary accessories. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept. The beach is very nice as well. Overall our stay was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and spa to anyone. Definitely have plans to return.

Which of the pools is heated?

Is there good snorkelling off your beach or would you advise somewhere else close by?

As our lovely readers have kindly mentioned in their comments, in our resort, you can find a marina on-site where to enjoy a snorkeling tour and explore the wonderful coral reef that sits right in front of the hotel. The ride will take no more than 10 minutes. Should you wish to dive in deeper, the marina also functions as a PADI center, where certified and non-certified divers can enjoy the Caribbean Sea.
