This is a reply to Zzaammt.
I worked at the Baie Vista during your stay, there was a bug found in a room, and rumors circulated that it was bed bugs. Pest control was contacted immediately, and they made an "emergency trip" to the Baie Vista, as it was stated on the hotels invoice from the pest control service. The situation was handled and taken care of as if it were bed bugs, but in fact it WAS NOT a bed bug. It was a normal bug that anyone might come across in your own house, as I'm sure we've all found a bug in our home at one point or another.

Just to clear this up. I don not work at this establishment anymore, but I don't want false rumors circulating about this hotel, the staff here are excellent, and the rooms are all recently renovated and as far as I'm concerned the rooms are worth what you pay for them. I've paid over double the price of a room at the Baie Vista elsewhere, and the rooms weren't nearly as nice or clean.

I stayed at the Baie Vista Inn recently while on business. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was given a newly renovated room that was very nice and clean. There is no restaurant but the lounge does serve pub food and a good price. I would recommend and would stay there again.

We stayed recently for a business trip & sadly there simply is nowhere else to stay in the area off season. The lobby actually looks quite nice, the outside is shared with some sports vehicle sales establishment which is just weird.
The carpet in hallway is threadbare and dirty, this is also shared with yet more weird tanning salon. The room has cinder block walls, you are given exactly 2 threadbare towels for a double room. The tv is circa 1998, no flat screens here and it's the size of a postage stamp.
In short, unless you have no other options fine, otherwise look for a cottage, B&B, camp if you have to, this is just ugly.

My room STINKS soooooo bad!
There is no fridge in my room.
The menu in the restaurant is extremely limited.
I can't plug my firestick into the TV because there is only 1 HDMI port and it has 2 screws on each side that blocks anything from plugging into it.

On the other hand the staff is friendly. That's the only good thing I can say, unfortunately 😕 😔 😪.

I have stayed in many places and this was probably one of the worst. We travelled for a hockey tournament. There was a boil order on. Water was not provided for brushing your teeth. The shower ran very hot and then very cold. Could not regulate it. The toilet tank was sweating so bad the floor in the bathroom was wet. There was a fan in the ceiling in the bathroom but no way to turn it on. The night before I arrived there were bugs found. They did give this prompt attention and call pest control. I asked for a late checkout ( just an hour) and there was no moving it was simply no! The noise level in the hotel was high but we come to expect this on hockey tournaments. The one thing that did bother me was that they let it continue late into the night. Complaints fell on deaf ears. They said I should have gone to conference room to get filtered water. That was on the second floor. Overall my experience was bad. I would definitely not recommend this hotel as a place to stay. The cost was $99 a night. I would think $50 would be more the rate for a room of this quality. At least expectation would be low! Oh and the room was recently renovated!

There was so much wrong, there's not enough space. The employees were helpful and nice but for all of the problems, WAY overcharged for what you get. Horrible, horrible. I would rank it less except for the employees and I can't choose a negative.

The hotel is old.. And it shows, stained carpets, peeling wall paper, broken tiles, holes in the wall. Dark hallways hard lumpy beds, Not worth 99 per night however the staff were friendly and helpful. Stay here as a last resort.

After finding out our original B&B was unavailable, we were glad to find a place to stay. While not what we were expecting, it was clean although they were undergoing renovations. There was coffee and hot water at the front lobby. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean.
