Very, very clean well maintained building. The staff are very nice. We we're lucky enough to stay on a Sunday night when it wasn't busy and they upgraded us to a king suite. I would definitely stay here again!

Bill, the owner, manager and overall Jack-of-Trades at this hotel makes the stay worthwhile! He is a wealth of knowledge on the area and it's obvious he loves Winterset Iowa, his work and meeting people! He was joyful and accommodating. The hotel is dated but he's making some good improvements, it's comfortable, quiet, and welcoming and it was a wonderful experience.

This was a very nice place to stay and convenient to the John Wayne Museum and several covered bridges. It was very clean and quiet. Continental breakfast was more than adequate and morning coffee wan good and plentiful!

This is my second time staying at The Covered Bridge Inn. So clean, quiet, and the hospitality is great! Check in is quick and easy. Bill and his staff are top notch. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice place to stay that doesn’t cost a fortune.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Covered Bridge Inn. Bill, the manager, was genuinely friendly and gave us lots of information about things to see close by. Our room was very nice. Bill actually upgraded us to a king suite which was very large with a recliner and a sofa. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

What a great stay!! The front desk manager (Bill) was the highlight of our trip. Upon check-in, he gave us the names of great places to eat and things to do. The breakfast was good (no hot items) but there was fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, cold cereal, and lots of coffee with the fixin's. The room was clean with large, fluffy towels for the bathroom. This was a GREAT place to stay in Winterset.

This was a very pleasant stay. Room was very nice, clean and quiet. The hospitality is above and beyond. It made our stay very enjoyable and we’ll stay again if ever back this way! The only suggestion I have would be to have refrigerators in the rooms.

Bill makes you feel like one of the family. He and Bath have a beautifully decorated and clean motel with very comfortable beds. The picture doesn’t portray the motel correctly but it’s easy to find and there’s a beautiful farm field across the street. Wanted to see the John Wayne museum but Bill filled us in in other treasures in the area.

The manager was super helpful in every way. He helped us find the place while he stayed on the phone with us. He brought us to the room, walked outside and showed us where to potty our pets and where to park. Continental breakfast was an added bonus. I strongly suggest staying here.

In all of our 38 years of being married and traveling this was our all time best experience. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and after five minutes of talking with Bill we felt like family. We could not have seen everything we were able to see in the area if it hadn’t been for his knowledgeable directions. We will definitely be back.
