This was our second stay within a year. This was better than the first time as our billing was right the first time and in fact the manager gave us a discount due to the first visit issue . The location is near I35 and two restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast was standard fare . Choice of cereal was more for kids than adults imo. The muffins were better than most according to my wife as I don’t eat the stuff. Coffee was good. The room was comfortable and clean . The room did have ants and a toilet which didn’t fill but we told them upon leaving- it happens . Parking was sufficient. They are pet friendly with rooms dedicated to pets for protection from pet haters . Tv channels have been improved considerably not just the sports and news crap .

Stayed one night on our way to visit family. Full hotel seemed very clean.Heather at the front desk was extremely accommodating, and went out of her way to help us with a special request. Would definitely stay here again!

Check in was very easy. Heather was extremely pleasant and provided detailed hotel information regarding location of ice, gym and elevator as well as breakfast accommodations. Room was nicely decorated and clean with plenty of towels and an extra blanket. It was quiet during my stay. The only downfall was the toilet ran the whole time and the pillows feel like down/feather and are very flat and small. The breakfast had a great selection.

Outstanding service and friendly staff. I only gave them a 4-star due to firmness of their beds. Hampton's have always been known for their comfortable beds, but unfortunately that is not the case now. But this would not stop me from staying again.

Rooms are good but we’re supposed to get a nice hot breakfast. Didn’t happen. Eggs & potatoes were cold ( not just warm but cold), they had no yogurt, apples & bananas were rotten (some bananas actually black) basically breakfast was inedible. Very disappointed. Other guests were also complaining so not just us.

Exceptionally clean hotel. The breakfast area was well stocked and pristine. The exercise room was well equipped and larger than most Hamptons. Well located, with many restaurants close by. Applebee’s is within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

PLEASE Hampton Inn and Suites keep dogs on the ground level. I do not like when a dog is in the elevator with me. I'm highly allergic to dogs. I get that people get to bring dogs. You have non smoking rooms please have non dog rooms. The hotel was great, safe and clean. Perfect location.

My family reunion group of 12 stayed at this great hotel recently for one week. We had reserved six rooms/suites and all of them fit our varying needs. It was nice to have a good breakfast furnished every day and having the menu items rotated was nice also. The house-keeping services were excellent and if you ever needed anything extra for the room/suite all you had to do was ask. Each evening we utilized the breakfast room sitting area for visiting and playing cards. The location of the hotel in West Des Moines is very convenient to I 35 and I 80 and also very close to just about any kind of restaurant you would want. Above and beyond was the outstanding service shown to us by the day time front desk lady, Amanda, and also equally as outstanding was Kellie, the afternoon/early evening front desk person. You both are assets to the hotel and I enjoyed meeting you both. Everything very very good at this hotel and I would not hesitate to stay here again.…

Very nice hotel that was near shopping and restaurants. Very quiet location. Costco just to the west about a mile for gas. Easy connect to I-80 going west. Hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Full breakfast. Everyone friendly.

This was our first visit to this particular Hampton Inn. It's a nice hotel, in a bustling area. We found it to be clean and quiet. The bathroom was kind of strange, as it had a single sink faucet handle that was barely functional (smooth), and the shower faucet is on the opposite side of the shower head. The sliding bathroom door (which was somewhat difficult to slide) is shared with the closet opening, so it's either one side or the other. The toilet paper was the thinnest we'd ever seen! The breakfast was good, but the attendant seemed like he'd rather be somewhere else. Overall we had a good stay, and would consider it again depending on competitive pricing with other nearby hotels.
