I researched many hotels before i booked this one. And true to form, this Comfort Inn propety is well maintained, has clean surrondings, and rooms, has refreshingly spacious amenity areas. I have been traveling quite often and I will definitely keep this one on my list, if ever I’m in this area.
Came here on a business trip and I ultimately chose this hotel because of the location but I’m glad I did. Super good place to stay. It was very nice, cozy, and the staff was friendly. The coffee was even super good. Loved it!
Traveling through West Desmoines and experienced car trouble. Booked a room here. Greeted by Stevie at the front desk. Welcoming smile......very very helpful. Just a delight. She is definitely an asset to the company. All the staff is great and helpful. Brian the manager was super helpful as well. Clean comfortable rooms. Grocery store close by.....within walking distance. Starbucks close by......walking distance. If ever in the area and need a place to stay I highly recommend.
Room was clean and spacious. Standard breakfast. Friendly staff. Slightly disappointed there was no hot tub even though there is a pool. Clean lobby with plenty of seating to gather. Desk was out of combs and toothbrushes which we had forgotten
The staff was excellent, however 5 minutes after I got into my first room the power to the whole room went out. Totally not anyone’s fault, but not my favorite thing. The front desk staff was really good about getting me a new room right away. The new room was great, but there was leftovers from someone else in the mini fridge. Again staff was great about it when I told them, but that was less than wonderful.
I would stay there again for sure! The room was very clean and everything looked great. The bed was quite comfortable as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I always seek to stay at Choice hotels wherever possible and I look forward to staying at this one again the next time I’m in the area. My only drawback is there wasn’t a tub in the room. As I have long term back issues I would have enjoyed a tub. But the shower was pristine and I slept well!
Very friendly girl at front desk. Quick check inn. Clean room. Quiet, nice sleep comfortable mattress . Clean warm water in the swimming pool. Plenty of parking .Definitely will stop there again. Hopefully soon.
Very clean, fresh hotel. Stevie at the front desk is always so pleasant when I come in; friendly, welcoming. Rooms are clean, beds are super comfy, and breakfast is always fresh. Other staff members are friendly and willing to help with anything.
The rooms were fantastic! The down side was the breakfast. Nothing was filled in after 8:15. So the pickings were quite slim. 1 slice of bread, no yogurt, milk, a few eggs. A few juice cartons. That was it.
If you are traveling during the winter, and think ahead, bring a humidifier, especially if you have a sensitive respiratory system like I do. The air was warm in the room, but too dry for my lungs and sinuses. Turning down the temp doesn't work either. There's got to be moisture in the air for the best breathing during sleep. That goes for anyone, in my estimation. This said, the mattress and pillows are pretty much the same as the ones I've experienced in the Comfort Inn in my own city: the pillows are nice and fluffy, and the mattress is not too firm, not too soft. At least for me, anyway. As they say, "your mileage may vary." My only caveat is the breakfast I had down in the lobby. The biscuits and gravy left something to be desired. The gravy was a bit bland, despite it being sausage-based, and the biscuits tasted a bit like I was eating the basis for Xmas tree ornaments: dry and also a tad bland. Mind you, if I make my own B&G, I make my biscuits extra buttery (actual butter, no margarine), and the gravy gets a dash or two of "Slap Ya Mama." The scrambled eggs and belgian waffles also needed a bit of "oomph." In short, I know I can cook way better than what the chain likely purchases for hot breakfasts. In short, come to Comfort Inn for the Z's, but go elsewhere for morning munchies.…
