This was the dirtiest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in my entire life. It was close and we almost always stay at a Holiday Inn but this place was dirty. The bathroom was dirty and when we pulled back the sheets there was a blood spot on it. We called and asked to be switched.

Nice hotel. New and very clean. Staff is the issue. Some good some bad. Encountered a couple staff who seemed we were an inconvenience when asking things. The main staff issue was the older lady working around breakfast. The first day she snapped at our kids to go sit down as they were standing around and there were no seats for them to sit at. Then the next morning she was in the lobby petting another guests dogs then went right back to dealing with the food. I commented that it would be nice if she would wash her hands before going back to food. She snapped at me then eventually went back and washed her hands before coming back out and said “I washed my hands is that better” I get tough time to find workers, but this is not acceptable.

Very nice property. Clean and quiet. Room was comfortable. Excellent customer service by everyone there. Vernetta (? spelling) was very kind. Would definitely stay here again. Last night of a 17 day road trip and could not have been more pleased with our one night stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was roomy and clean. The breakfast was ample and well presented. The attendants were busy keeping the area clean and the food supplied. We always enjoy the Cinnamon rolls. Fron desk was helpful and welcoming.

First we were given a room that was already occupied, then we left a bag of expensive cosmetic items purchased at the nearby mall in the little fridge, as they had to be kept cold. Called them within 30-45 min after check out, once we realized we'd forgotten the stuff, to see if they were found. We were told the maid found nothing in the fridge. BS! She's a thief and the front desk clerk cared NOT AT ALL. Will NEVER stay again and will let everyone know their housekeepers ARE theives.

The HIE in West Des Moines is a great value. We stopped here overnight. The HIE is a new hotel with big rooms, a nice exercise room, and a great breakfast. I recommend staying here. We had a very comfortable king bed.

Wow, I don't normally get excited about chain hotels, but our stay here was a real treat. The building is brand new, gleaming, and gorgeous. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. It was so clean, I wondered whether we were the first people to stay in the room. The beds were just the right blend of supportive and soft. The hotel is located within a new commercial development that is also very clean and appealing, with many nice restaurants and other businesses nearby. We interacted with 2 staff members and they were both very friendly and helpful. The man who checked us in helped us find a great place for dinner. Would definitely stay here again while in Des Moines.

This is an awesome place to stay. Clean and comfortable with a terrific breakfast. All of the staff was very kind and courteous. Located almost right across from Jordan Creek and near a lot of great places to eat.

The hotel rooms are nice, but the hotel is not well managed, especially if you are traveling with a dog. 1.) The most egregious and scary mishap being that the dog run is a long strip in the back, and I noticed too late a tiny sign on the opposite end that it was chemically treated making my dog sick and giving me a rash. The whole area around the hotel was treated, so there was no where for our dog to safely go. We are now headed to the vet. 2.) We repeatedly confirmed with a staff person that there would be a was a pet deposit and not a fee, and then were charged a $55 fee. 3.) They gave us the wrong bed setup, which isn't a huge deal for a one night stay, but compounded with the other issues is a cherry on top for a stressful experience. 4.) There was no staff around to check out or discuss these issues at 9am.…

Very clean. Great location, located across from Jordan Creek Mall. Lots of options within a short drive for dining, close to the interstate. Staff was very friendly. Hot breakfast included. Will stay again when in town!
