Decided to spend one night here for my anniversary with the significant other. Figured we’d have a nice room and go out to dinner and then swim in the pool after. If I had known my experience would be like this, I would have gone somewhere else. The gal at the front desk was not friendly at all when I checked in. You could tell she hated her job. She didn’t seem to want to help me, questioned my ID, and mumbled a lot. I had to wait for my boyfriend to arrive so we could check in together. As I was waiting, another person came to check in. She was a lot friendlier to him than she was to me. I’m not sure if she had some kind of judgement against me, but either way, very unprofessional. She also kept having this constant cough which made me question if she should even be working around people at that moment (Covid time). To add to our experience, our room had no pens or paper, only two towels, and two pillows. The rooms could definitely use an update considering the lobby was recently updated. They have old carpet, old furniture, and there was a bit of a musty smell. Mind you, this was one of the “nicer” king suites. Of course the carpet was stained in areas. The bathroom walls showed spots of repairs that hadn’t been correctly covered/finished. The shower did not look like it had been cleaned anytime recently. It seemed to have a line of mildew along the edges of the floor. All in all, I probably would have given a higher rating if my check in experience had been better.

The room smelled and looked like it had never been cleaned. I spent an hour wiping down everything with my wipes. I will never stay at a Country Inn again. Why do you have carpet if you are not going to clean it? It makes no sense. My family were moving cross country and this was the final hotel before our final destination. The other hotels were great. We just picked this one because it was close to the freeway. Next time I will drive the extra miles to stay at a Holiday Inn.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We apologize that the cleanliness of the room was less satisfying at that time. Providing our guests with comfortable and enjoyable experience is of extreme importance to us and for that reason we are incredibly sorry that we may have missed the mark. Your observations will be directed to the hotel management for appropriate corrective measures that needs to be taken. We do hope you give us another opportunity to give you the excellent guest experience you have come to expect and deserve.

The hotel is a little dated but overall, the stay was not bad for the price we paid. Our room had a musty, stale type odor, but not completely unbearable. The swimming pool was open during our stay (Covid times) but the hot tub was blocked off. There must have been a child's sports event that weekend, because on Sautrday night, the place was swarming with kids. There were so many kids in the pool area, you couldn't walk around the pool without bumping into people. The hotel had internet, but I could only get service in the hallway or right next to the door. Our room was on the 3rd floor, about two rooms down from the lobby area and I could not get any internet connectivity in the bedroom.

I was very disappointed with my stay this past weekend where I thought I should review it. My reason for the stay was I had traveled 15 hours prior to coming to the hotel due to moving my son into his new apartment and I was stopping before heading the final leg home. I frequently stay with Country Inn and Suites and have had average to very good experience. This time the hotel room was not clean. Dirty finger stains all along the edge of the bathroom door and walls all around the door, mold on the ceiling and in the tub, thick dust on the toilet paper holder, stained towels, multiple stains on the carpet, and a dirty remote for the TV. I do carry my own cleaner due to COVID and I was able to clean what I needed; however, I should not have to. I was too tired to address this with the staff at the time and wanted to rest. To no fault of the hotel I was unable to get the rest due to the room next to mine and the one across from it had kids that were in their rooms with no parents yelling across the hall to each other. I asked them to stop, they didn’t. I asked again, they didn’t. I called the desk and she said she would send someone down. (approximately 10:10 pm) 10:30, they were still in the hallway, I called again and she said she couldn’t find the maintenance person, but would come when she can and mentioned it is probably the boys who were kicked out of the pool earlier. She did not ever come to the room. Just after 11 they were again in the hallway. I called the desk and she said she would talk with the parents who were out on the patio. I left on Saturday; I could see those rooms (a baseball team) were not leaving. I mention this mostly because when I checked my credit card statement there was a second charge, I called to ask what it was, and the assistant manager told me it was due to the dog in my room which was reported by two other guests. I had my 20-year-old daughter with me, no dog. I told her I didn’t have a dog and she was rude and insisted I did and was hesitant about removing the charge.

We had a overall poor stay at this establishment. There was poor to even standoffish customer service, the rooms were not ready for use, our sink was clogged and full of dirty water, and AC wasn’t always functional. For the price we had to pay this was not worth it.
