Very friendly staff! Everything was very clean. Comfy beds. Definitely would stay here again. Great food to start the day. Couple restaurants within walking distance. Gas station and car wash also across the street.
Cozy decor, family friendly. Staff was friendly and seemed to actually be happy working here. Bathrooms were recently renovated. Rooms were basic, but clean and had working fridge, microwave and TV with Disney+. Location is convenient, 3 different restaurants within walking distance. Hotel pool area was one of the cleanest I've seen in awhile.
We chose Wildwood Lodge for our Christmas family gathering destination this year, which was deferred until January. Reserved 6 rooms to accommodate my wife and I, as well as our 6 children and all the grandchildren. The hotel was wonderful for such an event. Location just off the interstate was easy to get to and conveniently located near dining establishments. The hotel had a pleasant rustic ambience and was a warm and inviting place. It appeared well kept and clean throughout. Rooms were spacious with appropriate expected ammenities. It is pet friendly for dogs under 100 lbs for a small fee. Everyone enjoyed the pool area, the large gathering area, and the morning breakfast. The only criticism I can come up with is the bed and pillows were a bit firm for my taste, but others found them just right. I slept very well nonetheless. The staff were wonderful. They went above and beyond expectations numerous times during the entire process, from remedying reservation diificulties I had with a 3rd party online booking site to ensuring we had adjoining/connecting rooms. I particularly wish to thank Jen, who was exceptionally helpful and kind. As nice as we found the hotel accomodations, it was the staff that really stood out to me as exceptional.…
I reserved the queen suite for myself and two friends to meet at coming from a distance. I love the Wildwood Lodge and wish we could’ve stayed there several more nights great time great breakfast awesome pool and hot tub nothing but five star ratings. Thank you for a great night your facility.
We stayed at the Wildwood Lodge for 1 night because we were attending the nearby Hinterland Music Festival. We initially booked it because it's pet-friendly and we were going to have our son look after the dog while attending the festival... But in the end, that plan changed and we got a regular double queen room. The common areas were nicely appointed with a Northwoodsy theme... The room was your standard issue hotel room, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It also had a mini-fridge, which is always a plus in my book. The property itself was surrounded by trees, so it's fairly insulated from the nearby interstate and shopping areas....you don't feel like you're in a typical cookie-cutter hotel, in a cookie-cutter mall area. A nice touch was the outdoor patio and fire table. The neighborhood seemed safe, and if you bring young kids, there's a nearby park district aquatics center, though the hotel has a nice, indoor pool. The included breakfast was above average. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. So, in conclusion, our stay at the Wildwood Lodge was a good one. We'll definitely keep it in mind if we attend the Hinterland Festival in the future.…
Husband and I just looked for a place that would be about a 1/2 mark of our drive. This place was all around excellent. Made reservation over the phone with a very friendly and informative reservationist. Walked in and the place was remarkable. Front desk man was very friendly and also informative with the location of room and pool etc. This is an excellent hotel. Very clean all around. The room was immaculate. Pool area also very neat, staff came by to pick up any dirty towels or trash. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was always making sure it was fully stocked. I highly recommend this hotel. 5 out of 5!!!
Josh, our night manager was amazing. Out of his way helpful and on top of every detail. My whole family was staying there to attend my mother's funeral and everyone that stayed @ Wildwood credited Josh for being an important factor in helping our stay to be enjoyable. Thanks Josh!
I’m assuming this is a chain hotel but it really stands out from most I’ve stayed in at this price point; great interior design, colours, amenities. Huge comfortable bed in a large room with a great bathroom. Fridge, coffee machine, full length mirrors, comfy chair…super friendly check in staff. Free easy parking. Excellent place. Highly recommend for a good stop over on a long road trip.
This hotel has great woodsy atmosphere. All the positives of camping and none of the negatives. This place has comfort. The public areas and the rooms are nicely decorated with a hunting and fishing theme. The beds are great. The breakfast was very good, but short of the best because there was no meat such as bacon or sausage. There was plenty of social distancing and the area was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We had it to ourselves. The pool is a little warmer than most and just the way I like it. In the evening there is an outdoor fire pit. We didn't use it because it was raining. Maybe next time. Yes there will be a next time.
We've stayed at the Wildwood Lodge about once a year since we discovered it in 2013! We've added 4 little children since then and they beg us to stay another day when its time to leave. The pool feels safe when swimming with young children -- very easy with two adults to reach anywhere in the pool. Our rooms have always been clean, cute, and quiet. Thanks Wildwood!
