What started as a problem (the reservation person did not lock in our pending arrival so there was no record of it) was resolved within minutes. We were heading to Lincolnshire to attend our son's graduation ceremony at the Naval Station Great Lakes. During the scramble for airline tickets, graduation tickets I never followed up on a confirmation number to the hotel. In fact, I had to review my cellphone call log to figure out that this was the place. I called and spoke to Jamie Perdomo, one of the managers. I explained the situation and he not only had room for us, but it was at the quoted rate I was given earlier. Alright. Now the next problem, we just arrived in Chicago (8:30 am), we were very tired (up at 2:45 AM for our 6:00 flight) and asked when could we check in. He told me to come now. Seriously? The drive wasn't very long from O'Hare. We checked in and he directed us to the breakfast room. Really? After breakfast we rested. The rest of our visit was uneventful. The room was clean, the refrigerator was large, everything worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. Breakfast was good, there were a couple types of eggs, a meat, and other assorted items. The facility was clean and the attention to detail in the finishes was impressive. Whenever Jamie would see us he would greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed anything. He was exceptionally gracious.
I absolutely would recommend this hotel if you have a son or daughter is graduating from the Great Lakes facility, the ride is about 12-15 minutes. I would also recommend this facility if you have to stay somewhere for a few weeks. Jamie and the staff took great care of us. They were friendly, professional and courteous. What more could you ask for from a hotel. Thanks again Jamie!

Super friendly staff. Great small hotel with a nice pool and good free food. We went there for my son's Navy graduation and were not disappointed. Room had a great heat system which came in handy for Chicago in the winter(19 degrees and a snow storm)

Enjoyed our stay after my sons graduation from Navy Boot Camp. Our 2 bedroom suite was very comfortable and accommodated all six of us nicely. They offered live streaming in a banquet room for family members who were unable to attend due to covid restrictions. The staff is excellent!

Booked a King suite for two nights with my fiance. I always use the digital check-in the day before to select the room ahead of time and it seemed to not be accurate because I checked what was available at 11 AM and there were about a dozen suites available on the third floor. I did not complete the check-in since I wanted to be sure that my fiance was going to be able to make it before I locked it in. I checked later at 4 PM and there was nothing available for the third floor, which seems strange because almost all hotels are barely 50% booked right now due to the pandemic. I chose one on the second floor and hoped that there would be nobody above us making noise, which is a common issue that we have had. We did not hear anything above us the entire stay, so that part worked out at least. However, the room I chose on the second floor ended up not being the one I got the digital key for and I was given a room closer to the middle of the hotel, but since it was quiet we did not mind.
The suite did not have an armchair in the living room, although it was stated in the description that there would be and the picture of the living room also showed it. There was a coffeemaker as well as condiments for coffee, but there were NO coffee packets to be able to use the coffeemaker. Usually there are TWO bars of soap supplied (one for the shower, one for the sink), but there was only one. Usually there are 3-4 sets of bath linens supplied at places we stay (bath towel, wash cloth, hand towel), but there were only two, so I had to ask for more since I was informed that there would be no housekeeping service during my stay. The A/C was working very well when we arrived since it was set at 68 and it was 68 in the suite according to the thermostat, however it seemed to not be working the next day since it was set at 70 and it was 74 in the suite. It never got any colder than that for the rest of our stay and it was quite hot outside (almost 90). It was not unbearable, so we just dealt with it.
There is a desk that could be used as a table to eat meals at, but there was only one chair. Would have been nice if there were two chairs like many other Homewood Suites locations have.
Overall, this place is decent to stay at, but did not exceed anything basic. At least the rate we got was good, so we will probably stay here again.

Hallways are updated to Homewood Suites brand, otherwise it is outdated and looks like a competing brand. Courtesy van does not run on weekends. Breakfast good. Have reservations for several rooms a couple months from now for daughter’s graduation, we plan to cancel and switch hotels because this property was not on brand to what we have come to expect from Hilton and Homewood.

This hotel is located near the tollway (great location and close to Costco) and we were surprised at how quiet it was. Dog friendly hotel - room below us had 2 dogs and we NEVER heard a bark. Our room was across from the elevator and again - no noise from either the elevator or people getting on/off. The front desk was very accommodating re: extra coffee pods, etc. We usually stay at Embassy Suites but will make Homewood Suites our base when visiting.

We passed through needing a hotel with a kitchen. Everything about the hotel, the room and the service was excellent. The only problem was the air unit in our bedroom squeaked and rattled loudly each time it kicked on and off which was about every 25 minutes. I got almost no sleep. The next morning while checking out I just mentioned it to the manager, Shannon, that maybe maintenance should look into it and she immediately apologized and gave us an additional discount on our rate. What service! Will absolutely stay there again!

Overall great 2 day stay! We arrived late after 10pm and were greeted by friendly front desk staff. Our suite was spacious, clean, and as described. The kitchen was stocked well and had a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop and dishes. The bedroom had comfy pillows and bed. We enjoyed the hot items for breakfast but would have liked donuts or Danish too. The only real issue we had was that the sofa bed was lumpy and uncomfortable per my adult son. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this Hilton hotel.

This hotel is way overpriced. We stayed two nights, and it was $500/night which is ridiculous for the quality of hotel it is. The courtyard is nice to have and the rooms are big, but, other than that, not much else. The rooms are older and not nicely done, no ice machines, and continental breakfast is not good. I’d recommend looking for something else newer and more reasonably priced if you need to stay in the area.

The hotel is very clean and very nice. During our stay the staff members were very pleasant to deal with and made us feel welcome. The area around the hotel is very nice and we never felt like we were in harms way. Very happy with this hotel and will be staying again.
