This was the first bed/breakfast I have experienced & it won't be the last at this Villa. Their unique services include things you need as well as things you don't know you need! History is confirmed.

The best B&B experience that we have ever had! This restored 1850 mansion is breathtaking! From the moment that you arrive you are treated like royalty! The owner, Scotty DeWolf, goes out of his way to make sure you have a wonderful first impression and experience. He gave us a grand tour of the mansion. He was amazing! He told us so much history about the home's original owners, The Ayers family, and their contribution to central IL. Scotty is such a nice guy. We really enjoyed our conversations with him. The butler, Kimo, greeted us at the door and carried our bags up to our room. He was so kind and attentive throughout our stay. He served us breakfast the next morning and made sure we were fully taken care before we left. The home is decorated to the era in which it was built. As you walk from room to room you are just in awe of the decor! At least one fire place in each room! Our room was the Eliza Ayers Suite. It included a queen size bed, wardrobe, TV, minifridge, fireplace, full bath with amenities. As a bonus it provided robes and slippers. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The food: We were served a full breakfast. It included a slice of ham, 2 huge blueberry pancakes, cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, OJ, and coffee. All served to you with joy by Kimo and Mr. DeWolf. The area. State Street in Jacksonville is beautiful. It is full of old historic homes with big trees that line the street. It is always a pretty drive or walk but we especially enjoyed it since the leaves were changing colors. Jacksonville itself if a town filled with civil war time history. Our favorite go to casual restaurant is Leo's Pizza. I highly recommend taking a break from life and staying here!…

Highly recommend Villa Dewolf in Jacksonville illinois. It is a fully restored pre civil war mansion with all the modern conveniences. Scotty Dewolf and his assistant Kemo provide impeccable service. The breakfast was some of the best we’ve ever had. They constantly were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend!

Spectacular B&B! The most tasteful rehabilitation of a 19th century mansion we have ever experienced. Scotty, the owner is the classiest cowboy you’ll ever meet. His conversation is as unparalleled as his home and breakfast will not disappoint. Lincoln was in this mansion many times and that, in and of its self, makes it worth visiting but the exceptionally executed decorations, with the perfect balance of antiquity with contemporary, makes you want to stay! This place is and absolute MUST!
