We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. We enjoyed the location, next to the 360 experience and very close to restaurants and the Magnificent mile. Service was non-existent for us. We did the online check-in and did not ask for room service. There was no breakfast available, but there is a Starbucks located at the lobby. The pool and gym was ok, they had towels and everything needed. Overall an ok expereince.
Working in the hospitality industry I know what to expect. This Hilton was fantastic! Friendly staff, fantastic location, facilities, etc… I have so many superlatives to describe this Hilton, it was a pleasure staying! I’ll be back next time I’m in Chicago
Reservations for my 9 room block for business colleagues was screwed up, and the front desk staff very rude and not accommodating. Acted as if they were doing us a favor. There is no restaurant, bar, area to meet. No breakfast in the morning. TV connectivity was extremely poor with the picture constantly freezing.
For a Hilton Hotel, I wasn’t impressed. I’ve stayed at a lot of upscale hotels in the past 6 months and this one really miss the mark for me. For me, it wasn’t worth the cost for the room. I checked in via the app and picked my room on an upper floor and was given a room on a lower floor. The noise from the neighboring rooftop units was loud all through the night. My view was a brick building when I ask for a lake view. There’s a $100 hold per night for damages, which during the reservation process wasn’t specified. The carpet needs to be updated and the rollout sofa was a bit grungy. The room was a double bed suite. The beds were soft and comfortable, except the pillows. The pillows were small and would go flat after a few seconds. The bathroom was nice with a large lighted mirror, hair dryer, and a magnified side mirror with a light. The shower didn’t have much water pressure which was a huge inconvenience. There were lots of clean towels and the normal complimentary toiletries. There is a table/desk with one chair, would have need nice to have more than one chair for dining purposes. In the bar area there is a sink, coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge. The room has two flat screens, one in the bedroom and the other in the living area. The staff behind the counter could use some people skills. The doormen were super friendly and very helpful. All in all it was an ok hotel that has many updates. Would I stay here again? Probably not.…
Do not stay here! Waited 3 hours for check in, despite trying for 2 days prior to arrange an early checkin. I was very patient with the front desk staff, Annabella, but she kept telling me housekeeping had to check the room. For three hours. After 3pm, official time for check in, they still had not checked me room. Finally, having arrange a digital key when the room was ready, she told me my room was ready...but there was no digital key. So, she programmed a regular key card. I went to the room. It's very spacious, but really run down. Everything is beaten up and stained. I guess housekeeping doesn't report back on wear and tear. The internet is very slow in hotel. You have to pay extra to get upgraded, which I was willing to do. But technical support could not help me get the upgrade. After 5 hours I just gave up. Michael, at guest services, only said, "I'm very sorry." And that was it. No offer to help further. The lack of quality customer service is astonishing. I prepaid, so I'm stuck in the hotel for 2 more days. What a terrible experience.…
We stayed at this Hilton for 5 nights earlier this month. Excellent location, great rooms and wonderful staff. Loved the fact that housekeeping is available again. Only slight downside was there isn’t really a breakfast option on site. There is a coffee bar downstairs near the main lobby, but they had a very limited selection of baked goods.
Great location for shopping and sightseeing. I'm not sure it should be branded a "Hilton" because it lacks typical amenities of higher end hotel. The pool and fitness center close at 10PM, which seems early compared to other properties. There is no valet parking, restaurant, room service, or typical room amenities of a four diamond hotel. There are no robes, slippers, mouthwash, cotton balls/swabs, etc. The rooms were laid out nicely for two or four people. The living room furniture was not comfortable. The small fridge and microwave were convenient. The employees provided wonderful service, but there aren't many services offered.
My son and I could not have had a better stay! Hotel was lovely and in the perfect location. Danita was so sweet and helped us with navigating our way through the city. She also greeted us warmly with a big smile every time we were in the lobby. She is wonderful and a huge asset to the hotel! Thanks Danita and Hilton for a wonderful stay! We loved it!!!!!
In advance, I asked by mail to elevate the beds, so we could use our patient lift and everything was arranged by arrival. A pity that the restaurant next door is closed, so didn’t have breakfast nearby, which would have been easy for us with our sons in the wheelchairs.
Comfortable room, liked the fact that it was a small suite as it just gives one a little more space. We booked lake view, but wasn’t really worth it as from our floor (22) it was mostly buildings around and a side view of the lake above it. But that is not a complaint as such. Very close to shops, restaurants, magnificent mile, the millennium park. Check in was easy and overall we had a good comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again if I re-visited Chicago. The area around is quite safe and lots of malls, restaurants and shops around.
