I was lucky to stay at the Silversmith in Downtown Chicago for four nights while attending a sales conference. The hotel room was really comfortable, spacious, with an excellent bed, and in spite of the hotel being located right inside the Loop with constant train traffic, I could barely hear anything from my room! Every member of the staff were always helpful. Both Makrand, whom I spoke with while making the booking over phone from India, as well as Abin, who checked me in when I arrived, were extra nice, professional and efficient. Abin even gave me a coupon for a pizza place without me asking for anything, which was very kind of him. The best thing about the hotel might be the location. Downtown Chicago's most incredible architecture is right there when you step out. As is the Millennium Park and the Art Institute. Every kind of public transportation is at your door. The hotel is of course not inexpensive, but it is excellent value for money! I'm sure I will stay here again when I'm back in town. Highly recommended.…
we had great success staying at the Silversmith Hotel on Wabash street in downtown Chicago. Everyone was extremely friendly, but more importantly, very helpful. We asked a lot of questions about where to go and what to see and the people at the Silversmith took plenty of time telling us about different things to do. We had our own schedule, but we changed some of it based on what we were told. some of the people that were extremely helpful were Beverly, Kinisha, Enrique in the Lobby area and Olta and Mary Trinea in the Hotel Restaurant
Check in was smooth and Abin at the reception was warm and friendly. Free water for guests. Room service is limited but can request. There is no view obviously because of the location and the loop runs very near to the hotel. However the location of the hotel is ideal for getting to touristy places.
Silversmith is my go to Hotel in Downtown Chicago. It has a great location, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It has a nice restaurant itself, with a cool bar. The people that work here are First class, Nicolette, Anastasia, and Mak are the people I see when I check in, but the morning crew, and the whole staff are friendly, and aim to please. I like their rooms, and their gym. Parking is a block away, but parking in Downtown is going to be a deal where ever . Big thumbs up!
Staff was great! Enrique was welcoming, kind and even took the time to let us know he was off for the evening but would see us tomorrow. Room was comfy and beautiful. We were only there one night but cannot wait to stay again!
