Near the Chicago midway airport there is a large hotel complex that has about seven hotels in it. I booked the Marriott because I figured they would have food and beverage is available as I door dining and bars have been open in Chicago for three weeks. I was disappointed to learn when I arrive that no food was available and they didn’t really even have a grab and go store or anything. So instead I had to walk to the nearby Doubletree to get a snack. I’ve recently stayed at the Hyatt place in the same hotel center and they have food and drinks until 11p. The rooms are average and dated for a Marriott. I am a platinum elite Bonvoy member. They did offer a grab and go breakfast and a $10 Starbucks credit.

This is a good stop before a morning flight. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean, a good size. and they are exactly as expected for a Marriott. There is an on-site restaurant, as well as a couple of restaurants within easy distance. There is also a comfortable lobby and bar. We had a morning flight after a long couple of days and did not want a long drive in rush hour traffic, so we decided to spend the night before close to Midway. I’m glad we chose this hotel.

A connecting flight took off before our arrival and we were subject to staying here compliments of Southwest Airlines. Obviously, they have never stayed here themselves and likely for good reason. First off- the location is suspect to begin with, not to mention the hotel itself. MARRIOTT!!!!!!! You should be ashamed to put your name on this. Hey.. when I was a kid I partied at Red Roof Inn in the 80's and it wasn't this bad! This place is TERRIBLE. Don't let the lobby fool you. The furniture is mismatched with stains on it... the lampshade looks as if someone relieved themselves on it.. the carpet has God knows what on it. GHETTO!!! Save your money.

From the perspective of a Bonvoy Platinum elite member, this was a poor experience. When we checked in there was no upgrade of any kind even though the place was half empty. The rep who checked us in must have been very new as she didn’t acknowledge my status at all. When I asked what I got for being Platinum, she said “I don’t know”. When I asked for a room upgrade, she said nothing was available which was clearly a lie. The lounge and restaurant remain closed even though the economy has roared back. When I asked if they do anything for breakfast, I was told they give a “goodie bag”. This consisted of a packaged muffin and 1 bar of granola. There wasn’t even any coffee available and had to buy it at the nearby Starbucks. Rooms are dated and in need of renovation. We had a black hole in our sink porcelain. Water sprayed out of sink and was too hot. I actually burned my foot in the shower checking the water temp. This could do some damage to a child. We were told the airport shuttle stops on the hour and then every 20 minutes. We waited outside and no one came by on the hour. When we complained, they called the driver and then he stopped at 20 minutes after the hour but nearly were late for our flight. This is definitely a lower end Marriott that was probably hit hard by the pandemic and they seem to be restricting service to make up losses. Would avoid if possible especially if Bonvoy Elite.

Reservation booked through Elite Toll Free Number six nights ahead of reservation. The reservationist made an error on booking by guaranteeing a suite. When I arrived, we were given a small room with a king bed. We needed two beds.
I returned to the front desk and they were completely uncaring or helpful. Explained my situation and needed a room with two queen beds, “sorry we’re completely book”. I mentioned my Lifetime Titanium status and it didn’t elicit any response at all other than a slight nod. Asked one last time, “can you call someone? I’m sure there’s something that can be done? I was told no and to try booking something on line.
I found a replacement 40 minutes away through toll free number. The reservationist said, “we should always be able to accommodate our Titanium members. It’s really shameful they’re not trying.”
Agree, not even an attempt to accommodate their most loyal guests.

Midway Airport Marriott is the best hotel in the area. All of the hotels in proximity to the airport are dated, but this property is kept up well and overall clean. With a comfortable mattress and soft linens you are sure to get a great night sleep here. The hotel is on a shared bus with about half of the hotels in the park that just runs on a continuous loop. The fitness center could use a refresh, which I believe may be happening soon? The M Club on the 6th floor is a bit on the small side but has nice views of the air field from afar. I did have my smoke detector battery go off late in the evening but the on call engineer quickly resolved the issue.

Stayed the night before plane trip that left from Midway. Check in was easy, room was spacious and clean. Shuttle came quick in the morning and upon returning at 1:30 am from Midway. Price was reasonable with parking included and avoided hassle of parking at airport.

Great location to Midway airport. Hotel is very well soundproof so you don’t hear the planes. Food was really good and staff was nice. Shuttle to airport fills up fast so get in line early if you have to catch a flight. Rooms are good sized and bathroom is very nice. Pool was under maintenance so if you have kids you might call to make sure it’s working. The also have a small gym with several treadmills.

We dropped by during the NBA all star weekend the stay was pleasant and the staff was friendly. Housekeeping did a great job in keeping the room tidy. We’ll definitely come back to this property. Hotel is close to airport offer free shuttle and a lot of places to eat are walking distance
