Front desk staff was excellent all around. They were happy to help out at check in, restaurants recommendation and for printings a bunch of items for me. Liked that the shuttle runs every half an hour no matter what. The rooms aren’t as quite as you want them to be but that was own choice as I wanted a room that went right into the pool compared to a quite room on the higher floor. The pool is probably the biggest pool I have seen for any hotel that’s not a big resort. We will be back again!
This is easily the worst Marriott I have stayed at, not even considering that it is likely the most expensive. I try to always stay at Marriott properties but this one is lacking and I regret it. The bathroom is maybe 5x6ft. The door nearly touches the toilet and rests against the tub. The tile in the bathroom/shower is cracked. The washcloths are stained yellow. The shower head leaks. Why is the light in the shower a strange color? Oh, because of the dead flys and roaches in the bowl. There is enough dust caked on the sprinkler in the ceiling that you can’t hardly tell what it is except for the chrome color. I booked a room with a King, had several emails and app notifications confirming the King but I was given a double queen. Not a big deal, it’s a one night stay, but annoying considering it said my room selection was “guaranteed.” The TV is on the small and older side. This room is just weird in general, you walk through a common door that leads to two separate rooms. May be good as a family thing? Who knows. Food/prices at the bar were laughable for what you get. I mean. Gave it two stars because the AC worked and the beds appeared clean. Other than that, this place is just bad folks. Look elsewhere.…
I have Lifetime Titanium status. This is the worst stay in my 2,000 night history with Marriott, No mention of no room cleaning on check-in unless requested After 15 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by breakfast staff I went into cooking area to get utensils. After another 15 minutes of being invisible I went to front desk to get my own coffee. Employees were apologetic and explained that ownership and management does not care about customers and refuses to staff important service areas.
The hotel matched all the criteria I was looking for and it was available for a reasonable price so I booked it. After I booked it, I called to confirm the details of the shuttle and the service I received was not great; I thought it was a one-off but actually that was the type of service I was going to receive throughout my stay. My family arrived before me and even though we had called to confirm the airport pickup and shuttle times, we were told 'just call when you arrive and the shuttle will be there'. Every time we asked we got a different response - one person said the shuttle ran on a schedule and another said that it was upon request. We tried taking the shuttle three times - once from the airport, once to the airport, and once again to the airport and each time it was EXTREMELY delayed and/or it was a guesstimate as to when it would actually go. After that, we stopped using the shuttle at all. The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the airport and is located across the highway from the Rosemount train station. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1950's with a high hotel and a huge parking lot. You have to cross the huge parking lot and walk across the highway on a pedestrian bridge to access the train - its not bad during the day but can be a little sketchy at night. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance and there are lots of delivery options available as well (we did a delivery option and when it was delivered to the hotel, they were told to leave it on the table in the lobby. We went down to pick it up and no one confirmed to ensure it was our order so you can pick up any order you want). The lobby was designed in a circular fashion with the check-in desks to the left, the bar and restaurant straight ahead, the elevators to the room on the right, and the concierge desk also on the right. We checked-in and were not given any information and in fact the attendant could not have cared less (even though there was no one behind us). We received our key and proceeded to our room. Even though the area for the hotel was large and the hotel building looked large, the rooms were smaller than I expected. As you entered, there was a bathroom on the right and a closet on the left side. The bathroom was standard and contained a sink, a toilet and a bathtub - the only negative about the hotel was the minimal space. The closet was also a standard hotel closet and contained shelves, a place to hang clothes, an iron and ironing board, as well as a safe. Further into the room, on the right side were the 2 double beds with a nightstand in the middle. The beds were decent and provided a good nights sleep - again the space between the beds were tighter than anticipated. In front of the beds was a chest with a drawers on the bottom and a TV on top. Next to that was a desk on wheels so you can move the desk around the room. Along the wall were windows which were a nice addition as it allowed light to come in and make the room feel brighter and bigger. In between the beds and the window was an armchair and lamp - it was a nice addition but there was not enough space for all the furniture so it felt cramped. Amenities in the hotel included restaurants, fitness center, a concierge, wifi, and airport shuttle. I already talked about the poor service regarding the airport shuttle, and due to the limited time I did not have time to try out the other amenities. I did try the wifi but it was not strong and kept dropping; it was so bad that for work I used my own hotspot versus the hotels wifi. Overall, it was a disappointing stay at the hotel. The only positives were easy access to transportation and easy access to services but everything else from customer service to room quality was negative.…
Nice hotel, crazy expensive. You have to plan for 32 dollars a night for parking, 11 dollars a bier at the bar, 33 dollars for breakfast buffet (that is not that nice). All together, this place is very expensive compared to other Marriotts I know in the Chicago area.
Do not use this hotel for park and fly. They say that the shuttle runs every 1/2 hour but that is not true. We were at the pick up spot for 45 minutes and a shuttle never came despite multiple calls to the hotel. At one point they said the shuttle was there and we missed it despite standing there and looking for the shuttle the entire time. During the same time we saw shuttles from other hotels arrive and leave multiple times.
Stayed forr a quick business trip. Hopefully never again. The housekeepers bang the doors throughout the day. Even after I went out to please ask her stop the noise. They continued. The room was not properly clean, hairs everywhere and the carpet dirty not vacuumed.
Ended up here when my flight was canceled and the staff was incredibly welcoming and took great care of us. The location was terrific and they provided an airport shuttle as well. For the time we were there, it was a 5-10 minute walk to get on the El, and one of my favorite breakfast stops (Mac’s) is a block and a half away. The rooms were outstanding, very clean and very comfortable. Can I give this place a 6? It was one of the best properties I’ve stayed in!
We arrived into O'hare late after 20 hours of traveling. As I was trying to book a room, it went from 11:59 to 12:01am and the Marriott site no longer let me book for the night we were trying to stay. I called the front desk, and Melissa reassuringly said, "grab the shuttle, we'll make sure you're taken care of." And she did. We got a beautiful room at a good price. It was so lovely to feel like someone was looking after us after a very long trip! Great customer service with clean, comfortable rooms. Convenient 24/7 shuttle service to/from airport.
The lobby and check in area were very nice but the rooms were just ok not bad at all but nothing fantastic. The bathroom was very small. Two people could not fit in at the same time at all. Depending on the price I'd stay here again if it was cheap enough but given the opportunity I'd try somewhere else. Free shuttle to the airport
