A horrible experience. Terrible service, no help in anyway, telephones didn’t work, no house keeping, the hotel is old and dirty and the worse thing the employees with no intention the help. Won’t go back NEVER. Another thing the charge 15 dollars per day for internet and you know it when you arrive

In these weird times where you imagine that they clean everything with an extra effort you still get surprises like chewed candy on the floor when arriving to your brand new "disinfected" room. Our room had rusty paint and in general didn't feel clean at all. Not sure if Illinois is forbidding "bell boys" but one would've been of great help in this hotel since we are a family of four traveling with tons of baggage. The gym and all other amenities were closed. Only good thing is the fantastic location.

Bedding (duvet) was filthy, full of stains and clearly had not been changed in a while. This really surprised me as I have stayed here before and always thought highly of this property. When asked reception to get me a clean one, she suggested (with a really bad attitude) that I leave the dirty one outside my door and “someone” would bring a clean one. Eventually the housekeeping supervisor (a very nice lady) came and sorted out the bedding and brought fresh linen. I stay here because my company books me here, otherwise this would not be my choice of hotel when I’m Chicago. It is a shame because I like the area where it is located and in previous stays I have enjoyed my visit.

I upgraded to a really large corner room with a view out onto the street in front, Well worth the extra money. I walked in and the entrance is separated from the bedroom.with a large beautiful bathroom to the right, a table to put things on in the middle, and a closet and nice dressing area to the left. The bedroom has two large windows giving lots of natural light and the deco and modern furniture gives the feel of slick nostalgia. Everything was very tasteful and well thought out. The mattress and linens on the bed were of really high quality. The temperature of the room was easy to maintain with the thermostat. The bathroom had a tub with a rain shower, or you could use a hand held wand sprayer. The location is great since it is half a block from Michigan Avenue and one block from the best beach on Lake Michigan. The Front Office Manager, Candice, was very helpful with answering all my questions and suggesting places to eat and shop. She went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. I will definitely go back for the "old world charm" and feeling of history and nostalgia you get at a luxury hotel like the Knickerbocker.

Zero customer service nor amenities. Upon checking into room, prior guest had ketchup container on floor so I imagine cleanliness is sub par. Stay was reminiscent of a motel. In fact, I’d prefer no one on duty as the Sr. Manager of the property, Jason, was not only inept but also completely incompetent and unwilling to provide any information nor help. The one thing he did provide was an attitude. Sadly he couldn’t provide water. Pillows are about as effective as an airplane seat head rest; water smells and tastes foul and lacks vending. Other than that, good location. Good luck.
