Thé location was wonderful closed to all of the attractions and restaurants in walking distance.

The service at the check in was delivered by a professional and so friendly Team.

The cleaning was top notch by an excellent housekeeping Team everyday.

The suite in the Grand tower was completely renovated with beautiful furniture and the bathroom in marble was superb!

We enjoyed to be on high floor and the room was so quiet.

The swimming pool was outstanding with lots of history!

The restaurant M.Jordan was amazing .. fresh and tasty food

We absolutely love our stay.
An Hotel to remember❤️

Me and my wife are bloggers, we stay at a ton of hotels, and this hotel was by fair amazing. My son wanted to stay at a hotel because the stay at home order was getting to him, and he wanted just to relax somewhere other than our own home. So I decided to book a staycation at IC, and let me tell you it was worth it.

When we arrived during the middle of the night we were greeted by an older gentleman, very nice guy. Before I could even finish he had upgraded me and my wife’s room. Excited we rushed and went to the room it was nice didn’t have that “old” smell most people who are doing the reviews stated it smelled wonderful. After sleeping one night in the most comfortable bed I slept in a very long time. I received an email from their Room Controller, Perez to state we had been upgraded. Before I could even blink she greeted me at the door so nice and handed me a keycard and stated I just had to go to the 38th floor to switch off to another tower that took me to rooms.

I quickly woke my wife up and son, we grabbed our things and headed ok the elevator up. We were thinking “she just gave us a bigger room” we didn’t know what came next would be better than anything someone has done for us. We got on a smaller elevator that took us up to a door on the 41st floor we used Our keycard To open the door door and we were greeted with a room comparable to our apartment it was outstanding. From the tables by the windows to the lovely L shaped couch it was so worth it this room screamed out to us as the window views were insane we could see the whole Michigan Avenue. It was the nicest thing someone has ever done for us my son loved it my wife did to for a day we lived liked rockstars and I can only thank IC for that type of experience.

I need to clear something up though.

* I see people complaining about parking when I checked in it was states that parking was expensive and that they don’t own those lots. We found one 2 mins from the hotel for 30$ a night across from Dunkin. It’s cheaper to not move your car and take UBER’s.

Hubby and I had our 25th anniversary in 2020 and due to Covid lockdowns we had to put any celebration on hold. We decided to celebrate 25 and 26 years with a quick Chicago trip, just us. We got a king executive luxury suite. We were on floor 23 with a view that was amazing! We could see the River, lake and Michigan Ave. the room had 2 bathrooms that were nice, each only had about a half roll of tissue in them. The gentleman, Malcolm, I believe, checked us in and was very nice and efficient asking if I wanted housekeeping during our stay to which I said yes. Housekeeping did not end up cleaning our room so we had to request towels, shampoo, and bathroom tissue later our second day, I understand the staff issues that are happening so it was fine. The Restaurant is only open limited days and the Starbucks was supposed to be open but it was closed one day, I guess probably no staff. Our room was very nice. It was spacious and despite others saying the hotel had a lot of street noise we barely heard anything other than the occasional siren. We used SpotHero to park at The Shops at North Bridge for a fraction of the cost and the shops are just across the street but the garage is around back.
The hotel is beautiful, the service that we were able to actually get was great, the view we had was great, room quiet and we enjoyed our time and will stay again. I just can’t give it a 5 since we didn’t get housekeeping and had to ask for towels, Bathroom tissue, etc.

My husband and I have stayed in this hotel many times, but it was hard to recognize.
The lobby, gloomy and lonely, reminded me of a ghost town, our footsteps echoing in the dome; there was only one person at the counter and one doorman, but they were more than enough, since the place was almost empty.
The elevators were limited to 2 people. All restaurants were closed. We received a list of regulations and updated open restaurants.
Maybe because they were longing for costumers, our room was upgraded to a suite, that looked more like two connecting rooms: each had a full bathroom with separate shower and tub, a closet, an empty mini bar (due to Covid) and a coffee pot, safety box (behind the robe) and hairdryer.
Since we stayed for 5 nights, were were asked how often we would require cleaning services, to reduce human contact. We chose every other day, which meant twice during our stay.
I hope to see it again bustling with life.

My family and I recently stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. During our stay here, we were treated like royalty. The staff was always friendly, polite, and very accommodating especially for our little baby, who can cause a bit of a mess sometimes as babies do. And the dining staff for breakfast was absolutely amazing. The hostess Dinka even noticed when our daughter dropped her pacifier, came over, picked it up, and cleaned it without us even asking. They, also, provided us with snacks to take with for our baby. Thank you, Dinka and all of the dining staff, for being so hospitable and making our stay an excellent one. We cannot wait to visit again!

This hotel unfortunately let me down in every way for my birthday stay When I booked the trip, their website was still advertising all of their amenities like restaurants and the spa. It wasn’t until a couple of weeks before my stay that I learned all of their amenities were closed due to COVID. About a week after that their website was updated to let people know what was closed, it still doesn’t say the spa is closed even though it is. Didn’t learn there was also no room service until the day I was supposed to check in. I understand COVID caused all of this, but for how much they charge you would think they would still try to provide guests with as much as possible as safely as possible. Room service is actually a good alternative since they insist on keeping all of their restaurants closed, but they couldn’t even provide that! When I brought this up I kept getting referred to the Starbucks connected to the hotel that closes at 3pm and only serves microwaved food. They have a hotel bar that’s only open Thursdays-Sundays and only serves snacks. There is only someone to help with luggage Thursday-Sunday. Struggled with my bags and dog because of this.

Room was very basic and outdated. Stayed in the king luxury suite, but there was nothing luxurious about it. It was spacious, but that’s the only positive I can say about it. The room and bathroom were both in sore need of modernization. For a 4 star hotel on the mag mile in Chicago I expected my suite to be way more upscale. Had two tubs and they were both standard tubs you could find in an average house. Neither of them had any type of jets including the one in the ‘master’. Which would have been nice since there was no hot tub in the pool area that was open but filled with kids.

Mainly chose this hotel because of the amenities advertised for pets on their website. I was not provided with anything they said I would be for my puppy. I asked a staff member about something I saw for pets on the website, but she had no idea what I was talking about. When I asked another staff member she said she had to go into storage to find a couple of the pet products advertised. This tells me they don’t actually provide these things since one staff member was not aware of what I was talking about and another had to rummage around in storage. They need to take that down since it’s highly misleading.

Won’t return, have been actively telling people to never bother with this sad excuse for a hotel on the Magnificent Mile.

Stayed here for 4 nights during the week while we visited the city with our 10 year old daughter. Great central location to access all the major tourist places while using the weekly city pass bus. One of the most important things for us was to be able to enjoy the indoor pool and we were not let down. Plenty of swimming space. There is a lap lane which is in the middle of the pool. But the water temperature was excellent and not too cold like most places we have been to. It was also great to have a Starbucks right in the lobby to be able to use each morning. Friendly staff. Perhaps not the most knowledgeable about the city though. I asked where the nearest place was to get a Ventra card and was told I had to go to the main location in person when more research by me showed all I had to do was go to the Walgreen's a block away and purchase there. Had dinner one night at the Michael Jordan's steakhouse and it was very good. I would recommend ordering one level above what you want for the steak...ie order medium if you want medium rare. We ordered medium rare and I would say got rare, maybe because the meat was very thick. Still tasted good though. We stayed in the 1 bedroom and the sofabed is unusable. You are sleeping on springs so it was good we packed an air mattress. Used spot hero to park in a garage one block away (Shops at North Ridge) for about $23 per night. If we ever do another tourist city visit I would try and stay here again.

This was our first stay at the Intercontinental. The front desk staff was efficient and accommodating, allowing us early check in when we arrived ahead of time (they also permitted late check out for our friends staying there). The room was comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the pool even though the water was cool; and the family movie poolside on Saturday night was a fun bonus. The fitness facilities are very nice with plenty of equipment and space. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I recently stayed 2 nights at the InterContinental Chicago... Our stay was awesome experience, from the time we arrived until check out! First, we arrived super early on a rainy Thursday morning. I was super surprised to see a hotel staff opening our car door with an umbrella and escorting us into the hotel. The bell service representatives immediately took our luggage into storage while we checked in. We were allowed to check in early and they waived the early check in fee (without us even asking)! After a long and early plane ride, this was so appreciated! Our bags were quickly delivered to our room. Speaking of rooms, our two bed room was HUGE! Very nice size room, bathroom, closet, etc. Plenty of room for a family of four and comfortable beds. Every staff member and service we encountered during our stay was top tier; professional, friendly and over the top helpful! Everything about this hotel screamed LUXURY!

The location was awesome, within walking distance of most Chicago sites. There was also a Starbucks onsite and the Michael Jordan Steakhouse in the hotel. All in all, we had an AWESOME experience! Not one complaint. We would definitely be returning soon and highly recommended to others.

This was our second time staying at the Intercontinental Chicago recently. There are excellent protocols in place for COVID, the pool is open daily for generous hours (7-10), and staff is amazingly kind and accommodating. The location is central with restaurants nearby having take out or safe heated tent spaces. Our grandkids loved the largest hotel pool in Chicago (junior olympic size) which was not at all crowded, rooms are spacious, the limited staff either anticipated or supplied our every need. Plan a visit next month!

I believe they do, although I've never used one. Best to contact the hotel directly and ask. The rooms we were in this past week had sofa beds for the kids so we used those instead of roll-aways.
