This hotel is under renovation but the part that they have already renovated is phenomenal! There are two towers - and apparently the hotel also has special workouts available (who knew!) - what we did find was a glorious fireplace lounge (That was Never open) -- but the security was fine with you sitting there if you were behaved and tidy. Lots of cool lounges. Lovely views to be had (ask for them) and truly a responsive and welcoming staff - shoutout to the terrific security guard by the front door. Loved his greetings. Rooms were normal-sized but clean and the bath products were lovely. Tea and coffee in the room (bring your own milk) and decent showers - though I'll never get used to midwestern soft water. The breakfast buffet seems expensive at $30 but when you see the extraordinary spread (hot cider?? DONUTS?? manchego cheese??? every style of egg known to humankind?) you'll pay the money and love it. Comes with juice and caffeine. Just pay the money. One thing: the first room we had faced a boring office building and we woke to construction. The hotel staff apologized profusely and moved us the next day. This is not a perfect hotel - it is a responsive and affordable one (or at least it was because we had wedding rates)

Hotel's Favourite
We live in the Chicago land area, it's often that we stay a night in the city for a short getaway. This is our favorite hotel in Chicago. Lot going on, clean, great location. Staff is nice, really could not ask for more. Stay here, go to the Riverwalk, jump on the architectural tour... enjoy!

My visit was during st. Patrick's week, and despite the mass of crowd around the river, we felt very safe. The ambiance was fun yet mature. We didn't feel out of place for being in our 30s. It was a nice blend of crowd.

Went for St. Pattys day with friends. We had a very nice time. Rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk was very helpful checking me in. Overall experience was great. I'd definitely stay again next time I'm in Chicago.

Been a Globalist for a few years now. I love Hyatt for the friendly staff. Unfortunately the staff in this establishment, was hit or missed. Zumba our server from American Craft during breakfast was amazing. Super friendly always with a smile. The server we got on our last night for dinner Rakib was unfortunately very rude. The ladies at the Regency club were amazing! Always love the chat with them! The front desk/management communication also not the best. We love Chicago, maybe we came at the wrong weekend since it was Saint Patrick but we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and was highly dissatisfied with our stay. Our previous visit was for my wife’s birthday we were at Chicago Athletic Association and the staff plus hotel was great! Maybe we should have stuck to that hotel like we’ve done previously but we wanted to see what the Regency had to offer! Our mistake. We will not be back.

Great view to see the Chicago river getting dyed Green. The view on the 28th floor was perfect. The fitness area was very clean and I loved they had three pelotons as options. And it was kept very clean.

Went for a conference. Staff and hotel amenities were on point, but the wifi in the meeting rooms was ok at best. Extremely slow and often had to restart. For the size and capability of this hotel, the wifi needs when hosting a conference leaves much to be desired.

My three teenage daughters and I spent 3/15 Friday to Sunday 3/17 and loved everything about this hotel from location to room. All rooms have a fridge (I called in advance) and it was small but appreciated that amenity. We had a partial river view room and could see the green river for St Patrick’s day. I had club access which included snacks and soda/juice, appetizers at 530 and the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. Highly recommend club access with kids for snacks etc. our breakfast alone would have been $144 each day ($28.99 per person) plus tip and tax. I did ask for a maintenance person for a small issue in room and they showed up in about 20 minutes to fix. Very impressed and plan to stay again just not on this particular weekend as too busy.

We stayed one night on March 15. We weee there to spend time with my daughter who is a college student and celebrated my aunts bday. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the hotel was very clean! I’ve stayed at 4 other hotels trying to find one that I can come back to and this one is it!

Friendly staff, newly renovated rooms in the East wing. Accomodating staff even for a super busy weekend. Everyone were smiling and actually looking like they do love their jobs. As a Discoverist, I got my 2 rooms with late checkout and luggage storage because of my flight delay. Would definitely recommend staying here. Location was excellent, everything worth doing or seeing was within a mile walk of the hotel.
