Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Yes and no. It's a maneuver thru Grant Park which slightly follows Lake Shore Dr. It's maybe a 25 min walk, but you'd have to be familiar with the park route. Otherwise, you could go south on Michigan or Columbus and go east towards the aquarium when the sidewalk allows. These are a few blocks over from the hotel because you can easily access Buckingham fountain by crossing over these two streets from Harrison & Wabash. But it's cold out so that walk is gonna feel much longer. Maybe a mile? Depends on how committed you are. If you take an Uber you could get there in like 10 mins.
