This hotel is well situated for all of the main attractions in Chicago. The staff were lovely and accommodating, the hotel was spotless, and the housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Don’t forget to save some time to have a drink on the rooftop. The neighborhood felt safe. Hint: don’t pay for hotel parking. There are other parking garage is nearby that charge a fraction of the price. I found my spot on the spot hero app.
We have stayed at both the Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric in the loop area. The Centric was very nice. I believe it may be newer and on this particular weekend it was less expensive than the Hyatt Place. We will definitely stay here again while in the area. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a good experience.
It's a wonderful hotel, but what a shame that you can't sleep there unless you're deaf. The hotel street functions like a canyon and loud street noises up and down the street all night long echo off the buildings and there is NO room you can stay in and avoid it. At one point, I was wearing earplugs PLUS the silicon things that you place over your ears and I could still hear it loud and clear.
Hotel well located; staff friendly and helpful. Please ignore the reviews which talk about a good breakfast- policy appears to have been changed. Now the breakfast is coffee or herbal tea (no regular tea!) , a packaged gluten-free muffin (inedible) and an apple or orange. That said, there is a MacDo across the street with their predictable breakfast options, and many cafés within walking distance (including a small one attached to the hotel)
Started off on the wrong foot with discovering that I was double charged for my booking. Thankfully the concierge noticed it and corrected it. Gave us a free upgrade on account of this error, which was good customer service. Rooms were mostly clean… I did notice there were some crumbs on the floor which for a suite is disappointing. This particular hotel does not offer room service… It’s a bit frustrating dropping $300 plus for one night and having to rely on Uber eats for some food. Bathroom has a weird set up that is open concept… If you’re going for a romantic getaway, you don’t necessarily want to hear any bodily sounds coming from the bathroom, that echoes and amplifies even the slightest noise… overall the experience was mediocre at best. Only saving grace was the concierge giving us the upgraded room. Would not recommend as you can get better quality for this money spent.…
This is a great location to stay in Chicago and the staff was super-friendly. It's within walking distance to several landmarks and lots of nearby restaurants. The area is very walking friendly, which is nice and there are lots of metro stations nearby.
Ruby runs the breakfast area and she couldn’t have been more welcoming. Front desk was quick to respond to everything we needed. Room was spacious even for 4 people. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location is a short walk from Millennium Park and multiple bus and subway lines. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay started with delayed flights and we were so relieved to get to our hotel only to find the room muggy, dirty, no sheets on the bed, AC rattled all night. The neighbors blared music all night and when we called the front desk, no answer for over an hour. We had to go stay at a friend's down the street, in the middle of the night. Saturday we stopped by the roof top bar...closed. Again the neighbors partied in the rooms and halls all night, no one stopped them. If you want to stay in the area, find somewhere else to go!! What a waste of money!
I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff! I was upgraded to a suite without asking or expecting it, because the front desk recognized by Hyatt membership. Great location - easy to walk to attractions, but not in an overly busy intersection.
Water from faucet cloudy like skim milk. Pillows were completely flat and nonsupportive of your head. Not worth $500/night. Not a 4 star hotel. Continental breakfast was decent, but sometimes bagels were still frozen. The Location is the only good thing about this hotel.
