Nice rooms. Great location. 2 blocks from Millennium Park. Shopping nearby. Target, Walgreens, 5 Below nearby for otc meds and toiletries. Restaurants nearby. CTA transit next street over. Free breakfast. Ismeta will take care of you at breakfast. She is great with all the guest!! All the other staff is friendly as well.
We had a great stay here! The hotel is located in a beautiful older building, and they've done a great job allowing you to see parts of the old building while the hotel itself is current. Our room with two queens wasn't huge, but it was larger than some we've had inside a city. We slept well, but we were also quite tired from lots of walking around the beautiful city of Chicago! The hotel's location was perfect for our touring around Chicago - we were able to walk to Millenium Park, the river and riverwalk, and it would be super close to theaters when they're available again! It was also just a short walk to a transit station. The hotel's parking garage partner was also very close and we were able to get into our vehicle during our stay (we didn't drive anywhere during our stay). While we didn't venture out too late at night, we got back to our room by 10ish each night and felt safe the entire time (using basic good sense, of course). The free breakfast was full and had good variety, but it did get busy with other guests and it was challenging to find a table or try to figure out a way to carry everything back to our room, ha! The staff was very busy filling everything (despite having to clean up after inconsiderate guests... I'm looking at you, lady who spilled your orange juice and then just walked away from it!), though, so we enjoyed our breakfast. Overall, our time at this Hampton Inn was lovely and we would enjoy staying again!…
Stayed at this location for the 2nd time in the last year - both experiences have been really good. Good service and great location. This trip Ismeta was managing the breakfast buffet - and she was beyond awesome. She bent over backwards to help every single customer have a positive experience.
We chose the Hampton Inn Majestic purely for its location, in the Loop, easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Little did we know how attentive, knowledgeable and competent would be the people working the desk: Autumn, Robyn and Mike. Really good people. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent as were the hard working staff working the breakfast room. Thank you!
We stayed for 2 nights during our visit. The room was clean, comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Our breakfast we thought very good value with something for every one. The breakfast lounge looks worse for wear and could use an upgrade, but is serviceable. The BEST part of this hotel is the STAFF. They are amazing…they treat you as their guest, and nothing is too much. Ismeta in the breakfast area was just wonderful! The front desk staff, wonderful, and the valet/ doorman makes it his job to help you have a fantastic stay. We’ll stay here again!
The room was very comfortable and convenient to all attractions/restaurants. The staff is fantastic. Ismeta in particular (dining area), is one of the best employees I have ever met (and I'm 60!). She has a wonderful attitude and can anticipate everything you might need. a very good value.
My family and I have been staying at the Hilton when we come to Chicago for over a decade. It’s a great location, excellent service, and consistently a great place to stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful, specially Robyn at the front desk. Highly recommend.
“It’s all about the people.” Too many friendly, helpful and kind individuals to single out ONLY one, but Robyn at the front desk really came through for us multiple times. Checkin - a breeze. Rooms - Clean. (Some think the rooms are “smallish”, but they are so well equipped you’ll never notice.) Baggage - Held securely both before checkin and after checkout so we could explore without lugging suitcases or backpacks around. Breakfast - I recommend the oatmeal and to arrive early to avoid the late rush. Again, historic building, updated and very efficient. Just not a great deal of elbow room for breakfast if you’re concerned about space. Bottom line: Central location for access to Union Station, The Art Institute, Red or Blue lines on the Central Transit System (El routes) and much more. Delightful in every way and we will return without hesitation. Well done one and all.…
We enjoyed a 3-night stay with another couple in adjoining rooms 1204 & 1206. From a friendly check-in with Porsche, to breakfast with a smile from Isme, and playing cards in the lobby - it was enjoyable. The location is terrific and valet parking was nice, albeit $65 per night. But it IS Chicago. Even the fellow that plunged the toilet was friendly. I chuckled when he finished and said "Enjoy!" Even though the hotel was completely full, it was quiet for sleeping. Ice machines are on every other floor. Floor 12 didn't have one, but it was easy to go up or down a floor.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location but that's where the pros stop. No housekeeping or No towel change the whole stay, despite requesting them on a few occasions. This is not the best in 32 degrees heat in Chicago. Have to give the lady in the breakfast area a shout out she was very nice. The breakfast is served in the lobby area where people are checking in and out, strange!! This hotel is not cheap, the least you would expect is to be able to shower every day. Very disappointed.
