I wish I had read the other negative reviews before booking. Stayed 4 nights as a couple. We had ticked the “early check-in” box when filling out the booking form but when we arrived we were told that our room would not be ready for another 5 hours. They did not offer an apology nor explanation as to why. We asked for wine glasses for our room, and instead of brining them up to our room, the front desk told us to get the glasses ourselves at the bar downstairs. I stay regularly at a Marriott in Canada and never had to get my own glasses. When our room was turned over during our stay the towels, disposable cups, and toilet paper were not refreshed/refilled The glass bathroom door is a huge problem as it is useless at blocking out any sound or smell. Terribly unromantic! We got into the habit of turning the TV on or running the tap every time we used the bathroom. This is NOT a boutique style hotel. There were no slippers nor robes - not even for sale. The soap, shampoo, and body wash were all different brands which made it feel like they perhaps fell off then back of a truck. The wi-if was so poor we couldn’t stream a movie. The wi-fi signal would drop so often and for long periods of time that we were actually worried we wouldn’t be able to check-in online for our flight home. The pool is tiny. Not sauna or hot tub. One star for the excellent location. Loved that it was above a Trader Joes.…
A last-second shift put my family here, and we were very surprised. Spacious superior room, everything seemed to be within 5 blocks. Andrew did a great job, even getting us into the room as we showed up early.
This is the second time my husband and I have enjoyed staying here, it is wonderful. The location is fantastic. The rooms are clean, and the staff are amazing. Jesus is helpful, friendly, and it is easy to see he enjoys his job. The housekeeping staff are attentive as are the front desk team.We will be back! Thank you AC!
Stayed for a recent business trip. Hotel just ok. Have stayed at other AC Marriotts that I prefer. The hotel is worn as are the rooms. Beds not that comfortable. Staff was nice, but although advertised that masks were required indoors staff in consistent in mask wearing. Again just OK, likely will stay across the street at Museum hotel next time.
We were verry happy with the accommodations and overall experience at our recent stay. The location is ideal and the parking structure is attached to the hotel. The room and amenities made for a very comfortable stay. My interaction with staff, especially front office manager Jason, was great. They were very professional and welcoming. We’ll look to stay at this property again in the future.
Horrible experience. The guests in the adjacent room played music and sang all night long. It’s now 4 am and I’m writing this review. The walls are paper thin. I called the front desk twice and they said they would send security. Security never arrived. Horrible service. Stay away
The hotel accommodations are clean and modern, the room was spacious and well laid out, the staff was friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were a breeze. This hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Magnificent Mile restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots.
Hotel is very nice, room (regular king) and bathroom were spacious and clean. Check-in was fast and easy. All staff were very nice. Resturant was nice with limit menu. great location. Many resturants and convenient and whold foods store in walking distance. Hotel is one block from Michigan ave. Only negative was the buffett breakfast at $15, very limit menu. The eggs were not goods, there were no meats (bacon or sausage), there was cereal and oatmeal and toast. Not worth the money.
High quality hotel in a great location. Room was fantastic with hardwood floors and was meticulously clean. Adherence to mask mandates was hit and miss amongst staff - wearing a mask around one's chin does not qualify as adhering to the mandate. A/C worked well but was quite noisy - unit was in-room.
We had a coupon through Travelzoo. Excellent rate which included parking too. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and exercise area. On the 4th floor is a lounge where you can purchase drinks and a buffet breakfast is served there. There is a $15 charge for the breakfast. However, there is complimentary coffee, fruit and croissants in the morning. Around the corner from the hotel is a Trader Joe"s.
