After spending a less than desirable night at a Ritz in one of the southern states, we decided to shift gears and head to the Langham in Chicago. It simply NEVER disappoints. We started our stay, Friday , June 24. We had amazing service from the check in, to helping us with dinner reservations for the weekend. The concierge staff, Phillipe and David, went out of their way to help us. The room was also amazing! The turn down of the bed and the amazing bathroom, the robes, and the overall touches, are second to none. Nothing was missed. I look forward to another weekend at this amazing hotel. Thank you!

My family and I stayed at the Langham Hotel for my son’s 6th birthday. From the very beginning the service was extraordinary: we were given early check-in without requesting it, and everyone we ran into the hotel were extremely polite and helpful. Concierges Ikram and David were particularly amazing, going above and beyond to give my son a special birthday surprise: they accommodated the Cinema Suite and provided drinks, popcorn, candy, and a few other surprises. They really made this moment extraordinary for him and all of us. The Hotel is quiet, elegant and well located. Rooms are comfortable and views, especially from the south, are breathtaking. The Club Lounge is super cozy, with different spaces for all and gorgeous views from the river and lake. Service is amazing as well. For our 10 year wedding anniversary we choose The Langham and booked the club floor because we wanted a really special experience. Unfortunately, we had several issues with service. The hotel never replied to email before our stay, didn't provide club access at first (then asked us to pay for it again), and finally realized we paid for it and gave access after multiple visits to the front desk. Also, despite promising 3 times (twice by the manager) to send up a bottle of Champagne for our anniversary, it never showed up. We didn't expect it until it was offered, but it's shocking that they couldn't follow through with what they voluntarily promised. To make up for the mishaps, we were provided 1 free massage - so then it was up to my wife and I to decide who *did not* get a massage on our anniversary weekend. Overall, we had luxury expectations, but received Marriott Courtyard service. While nothing was terrible, at $1,100/night this level of service is unacceptable.…

The Chicago Langham is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The location could not be better. The service is top notch, and the showers in the rooms are absolutely the best we have ever experienced. They have the features and water pressure of the best spa showers without leaving your room. We could easily just stay in our room all day and leave only to visit the Langham Club, which is also about the best concierge lounge we have ever patronized.

When coming to town I typically stay at a different hotel, but my travel agent friend insisted I give The Langham a try, and I was NOT disappointed! From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile by Stojan at the front door who addressed me by name every time we crossed paths. I don't think my hand ever touched the door handle during my stay! Check-in with Maia was a breeze (she even referred to us by name when we approached the front desk!) Jordan and Alice were so accommodating during my stay and at check-out, as well as Melissa from guest services who answered any request at lightning speed! A HUGE thank you to David and Ikram at concierge. David provided the best dinner recommendations. He gave us 6 to choose from with a detailed description of each and got us in last minute to a great steakhouse! Ikram's recommendation to take an architecture river cruise was a really special treat (highly recommend doing it). The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Our room had the best view of the river and city. The shower and soaking tub are to die for! Another note: we stayed on club level and it was sooo worth it. There are attendants (thank you Thalia, Matt and David!) who are at your every request that almost nothing is required of you but to choose where you want to sit and look our at the river and lake.
