Muy bien situado y muy buena atención y servicio de Fannie y Javier en el desayuno. Volvemos, muchas gracias. Very well located and great service Ane attention from Fannie and Javier. We will come back, thank you
Why wouldn’t anyone write that this hotel is Noisiest Hotel in all of Chicago. Across the street from the Chicago fire station. Sirens going all night long, people screaming so you’ll get no sleep. 4 blocks to the parking garage so get ready to walk forever to get to your car. Not to mention self parking 4 blocks away will cost you $55 a night. The food and service were okay. Won’t be staying here ever again.
We stayed here for 1 night using Marriott Bonvoy points. This was family trip with 2 teens. We stayed in corner room with 2 queen beds. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. The location is great. We walked everywhere not needing to take Uber/cab. Tons of great restaurants around, amazing outdoor restaurants in the summer. Breakfast was just ok, the quiches were very good but the waffles were horrible. Javier and Fanny are the breakfast bosses and they are amazing. I would stay here again.
Stayed three nights over a weekend. Can't say enough about the location. River North is walkable and there are restaurants and bars within a few blocks, including the Riverwalk. The downtown/Loop easily accessible. Navy Pier is just under a mile walk, Mag Mile is even closer. The staff were kind and helpful. Comfy bed, soft towels and decent pressure in the shower. We did self park and it was easy. We didn't drive once during the three days we were there, so I don't know about in and out parking. Parking structure was a block away. Great stay.
I would have easily given this hotel 5 stars if only there were in-room safes. My room was spacious with a nice wardrobe and shelves where a safe could have been installed, but there was none. I already know the Management response will be that I could have put valuables in the hotel safe, but having to go to the front desk and wait for an agent just to deposit of remove a credit card of laptop computer each time is not convenient at all. My room was super clean and very comfortable. Despite what others have said here, housekeeping is still every 3rd day, or upon request; not daily. And the breakfast staff are friendly and helpful, but the food selection is very limited compared to a Hampton Inn or HI Express. They had only two cold cereals, for example, both high in sugar! They had hot food novelties each day, but not the basics of an American or English breakfast such as scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, potatoes, etc. Would I stay here again? Probably. The location can't be beat and the rooms facing the back (north) are quiet as you don't face the Fire Station just across the street.…
this place was super accommodating when our middle schoolers took a trip to the city. friendly staff, front desk check in was easy and organized- the breakfast staff was AMAZING! they were s kind and helpful with our students..I really cannot say enough about them! - def recommend this hotel!
Came to Chicago to watch my son run in the half-marathon on May 28, 2022. Stayed here at Fairfield. The rooms were nice but valet parking sucks to high hell. They charge $69 per night for parking. After calling down for my car as instructed the first time, my wife and I waited for nearly an hour. The 2nd time, we waited an extra 30 minutes even after we had called ahead to have our car ready. We missed dinner reservations and lost confidence. Finally, I parked on the street since I could not trust the valet anymore, and got a $75 Chicago ticket in addition to the $69 per night they charge. The valet service sucks to high...high...high...high...high hell. I would never stay there again since Valet cannot be trusted.
Hotel is an amazing option in the heart of the River North neighborhood of Chicago. The front desk team was always friendly and helpful, my room was well maintained and clean. The neighborhood has so many great restaurants, shops, and bars - with lots of folks out and about on a nice spring/summer evening. Overall, this hotel is a great value and option for travels to Chicago!
The Fairfield Inn and Suites Chicago Downtown/River North had great reviews and it did not disappoint! The location was close to several transit stops, or within walking distance of our destinations. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk. Our room was clean, and each day the housekeepers kept it exceptionally clean. This was particularly welcome because some hotels had discontinued daily cleaning during Covid. While the breakfast area was quite busy, there was always a table available for us. One of the workers came around to check to see if there was anything we needed during breakfast, and another called to us while we were leaving to “have a great day.”
Enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff - especially Javier and Fannie in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and we felt safe at all times. Location is good - restaurants and ease of walking to attractions nearby. Would definitely recommend.
