I stayed here for 1 night for business. Free shuttle pick up from Midway which runs every 20 or so minutes. Just go to Departure (Ticketing) Level and exit Door 2 and look for the sign. Overall, my stay was fine but a few things to note. -room was quiet and I had an uninterrupted sleep -no shampoo in shower. They provided 3 bottles – 1 was conditioner and 2 said body wash (see pic). -bathroom sink would back up and bathroom light would flicker. Both were brought to the staff’s attention. -TV was older and don’t think there were any movie channels. Connection between remote and tv was slow. Wifi was fine though. -complimentary hot breakfast left a lot to be desired on the eggs and turkey sausage. Had a bagel instead. -the area is not recommended for families. Hotel is located in a large lot with other hotels, but the area within the lot and outside of it just does not feel safe. Would not recommend for families. -as stated above, there’s really nothing in the area. The TGIF located directly across from hotel (1 minute walk) is poorly managed, understaffed, and not a place where you can relax and have a nice meal. Probably best to just order delivery and eat in room. This is an older hotel and could use an update, along with the surrounding area. If you stay here just lower expectations.…
We landed late at night and this was a perfect place to stay. The shuttle picked us up from the airport departures 3rd floor door 2. Its very frequent. Its a comfortable room. There is a breakfast Included, breakfastsandwiches and omelets. My only concern was that they didn't have a water fountain.
We stayed here the night before we flew out for a week in Tucson. Syidell at the front desk could not have been more helpful and efficient. She helped us secure parking for the week. She upgraded one of our rooms so we were able to have adjoining rooms with our granddaughter. The shuttle was on time taking us to the airport and prompt when picking us up. The hotel was very clean and safe. rooms were spacious and well-appointed. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here before a trip. Super convenient to midway. Shana at the front desk was SO helpful with planning time to arrive at airport and making our stay easy and worry free. She was attentive to our needs and made sure we had all our trip covered before we left the hotel . Clean rooms and courteous staff!!! Thanks so much
Stayed overnight and it was a great place. Easy walk to tgifridays. The breakfast was great and the service was helpful and the lady was extremely helpful with showing my daughter how to use the waffle maker. The room was spacious and clean. I especially liked the sink outside of room with the shower, therefore someone could shower while another was still getting ready
The rooms are decent ; which was probably the only saving grace. There is a swimming pool; which would get filled up with 4 kids in it. a bigger jacuzzi; if i may say without the jets. But the worst part was the breakfast. No Bread at all. They had bagels and waffle ; but meh. We tried the first day and then had breakfast outside.
This is a good property for a quick overnight stay. We arrived in the early evening on a Tuesday night after a long drive in. Check-in was pretty busy and looked as if there was only a single worker, but she was quick, efficient, and friendly. No surprise being so close to the airport, but parking is $18 a day. During our stay we did see numerous security vehicles patrolling the parking lot which was comforting. This was our first time flying out of Midway so we didn't know what to expect of the area around the hotel. Although, I would not want to venture out during the night away from the hotel zone, we did feel safe while we were there. There are a few restaurants located inside other hotels in the hotel area, and plenty more within walking distance. Our room was nice, exactly what you'd expect from a Fairfield and was well up-kept. Cleanliness was good but not great. It was the little details missed here. The corners of the room had some dust, along with the side chair in the room, no major issues otherwise though. There were many amenities at the hotel we were unable to utilize like a free airport shuttle, free breakfast, pool/fitness center etc, but they all looked nice. Overall, we would return to this property if we ever found ourselves back up in the Chicago Midway area.…
I have been a Bonvoy member for over 5 years. I have stayed at this Hotel few times before. However, my last two stays in Mid Jan 2020 and Mid Feb 2020 have been very disappointed in the level of service. During our January stay, our room had a very bad odor. We called the front desk and they told us that the hotel was fully booked and they could not move us to a different room. We actually had to buy a bottle of Febreze to spray around the room. The next morning, a Sunday morning, my wife and I went down to have breakfast. The restaurant seating area was a complete mess, with dirty tables, spilled coffee and few breakfast items left. When we stayed last week, there was no hot water. When I informed the front desk, she said that she was sorry! This experience makes me rethink Marriot as my hotel brand of choice!…
After attending our grandson's boot camp graduation, we wanted to spend the last night close to Midway for our flight home. This hotel is only a few minutes away, so was a great choice. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide, but have never found staff any friendlier or helpful anywhere. They have a nice breakfast buffet. The asst. manager suggested I take my rental car the night before and take the shuttle to the airport. This made things so simple. The shuttle runs every twenty minutes and dropped us off at the terminal. I would definitely stay here again if flying in or out of Midway.
We have stayed twice over the weekend, most recently the weekend after Thanksgiving. Both times, we were pleased to have the same Sunday breakfast attendant. She provided outstanding service, keeping the buffet well stocked and hot, greeting guests as they were enjoying the food, and wiping down both the tables and the buffet area so all areas were clean at all times. So very friendly! Please recognize her for her exceptional customer service!! Unfortunately, we received disappointing was the front desk customer service on our last trip. When we reported cleanliness issues in the elevator and hallway, we had meant to prompt a response to resolve these issues. Instead we got a blank stare and no concern/apology at all from the front desk attendant. Even one poor customer service experience makes a huge difference. Unsure whether we will come back. The Sunday breakfast server is the biggest draw to return.…
