Located just north of Chicago’s downtown financial and retail hubs, Lincoln Park is the city’s most charming and historically rich residential community, where tree-lined streets are dotted with a mix of million-dollar-plus homes and classic three-flat apartment buildings and sidewalks buzz with energy from families, DePaul University students, young professionals, fitness buffs, and visitors to the city. At the center of it all is Hotel Lincoln. Hotel Lincoln is an upscale boutique hotel with an eclectic-meets-collegial vibe, offering 184 guest rooms, executive meeting space, a lobby-level European-style coffee bar, a spacious rooftop lounge with panoramic views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. As Joie de Vivre’s first hotel east of the Mississippi, the property is uniquely designed to not only connect Chicagoans with iconic city gems, but also give travelers a taste of what life is really like in the packed-with-personality city.

In addition to the hot water going out, was quite concerning that housekeeping staff repeatedly opened our door without notice; very invasive, intrusive, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Paper thin walls, lots of noise. Front desk staff seemed unmoved by these concerns, so they must be common and go unaddressed.

Our stay was hampered by several factors. Rooms small and dingy. Room phone didn't work - preventing direct access to front deck in an emergency Room shade didn't work. Staff notified - absolutely no response to our concerns. We were not informed before ck in that there would be ongoing construction work durning our stay. Jack hammers going all day. Forget being able to nap babies or leisurely read a book and relax. Staff in coffee shop very rude. Don't stay here because your concerns will not be address.

We made reservations at this hotel because it was close to the wedding venue that we were to attend. The location across from Lincoln Park and close to the lake is very good. The hotel advertises itself as a boutique hotel, and with affiliation to Hyatt, we expected more door the price. The rooms were very small (unless we upgraded to a junior suite), somewhat rundown, with peeling wallpaper in the bathrooms and dull lighting in the main room. The furniture is dated and looks worn verses looking vintage or antique. Although the “look of the hotel” was to be vintage, the condition could have been better. Lastly, remodels were underway during our stay, so there was jack-hammering and construction noise, and workers in and out of the elevators. The primary space in the rooftop restaurant was demolished after the third day of our stay, limiting seating, and further contributing to noise. Overall, it’s unlikely we would stay in this hotel again on future trips to Chicago.

Hotel Lincoln is in a great location right across from the zoo and near the Chicago History museum. The lobby and rooftop bar were updated and really nice. Our room was adequate and clean but in need of an update for this price point. Staff was really awesome. Beds were very comfortable. We were told they are doing room renovations so I will return. The surrounding neighborhood was nice with great food choices too.

Stayed for my niece’s wedding at the Chicago History Museum. Great location and staff was excellent! Ride shares were very easy to schedule as well as the rest of our family that was staying. The J Parker rooftop is also highly recommended.

View from room was great. Room was small but very clean. Hotel is old but well maintained. Not a lot of sound insulation between rooms. Mattress could be better. Cool decor. Nice bedding. Speaker is room is nice touch.

I was traveling to Chicago for work and needed a location central to many things including a short walk to the metro while remaining reasonable in cost. Hotel Lincoln checked all those boxes. Staff was welcoming, kind, helpful and efficient. Valet was excellent and the car retrieval system was easy to use. It was St.Pattys weekend and the hotel was surprisingly quiet even with a rooftop bar and I'm so grateful since I had work things scheduled throughout the weekend that the hotel was well sound proofed etc so that there weren't disturbances or maybe people were being mellow. It is an older building but I love that work has been to save a historic building. Great stay and would recommend.

1) Construction in an adjacent room till after 5pm 2) The room was dirty. Sufaces not wiped down, barely a cursory bathroom cleaning..yellow splashes on toilet and door. 3) mold/fungus/algae in the Coffee maker. 4) heater didn't work 5) food from unknown date and time left in mini fridge..yuck!! 6) No bed set for hidabed 7) only 1 working elevator took 30 mins to wait in line to get down to ground floor 8) when I brought these greivences to the attention of the manager I was offered a comp of 1 night... still waiting for that...probably should have made sure that happened...cuz here we are :) 9) Even after verifying my email 2 times for the GM to reach out to me I have heard nothing. 10) Considering the above and the cost of "Top Floors Suite with Lake View" this Hotel is a poor value.

Amazing location, everything else was not great except the price. Rooftop terrace is a highlight. When I return to Chicago I will be booking different accommodations. The pillows sucked. Hate to be a Karen but *hand up emoji*.
