My husband and I stayed at Pendry during our trip through America, we had a great time. Staff was amazing, from the Front desk Filipe and Joel to the housekeeper Louders, who cleaned our room everyday. Thank Pendry for the incredible stay, clean hotel, warm staff and beautiful architecture. Definitely recommend.
That the Pendry is luxurious is obvious from the moment one enters the interior of this exquisite landmark building. The rooms, views, furnishings ... luxurious indeed. It, however, is the Pendry staff that makes staying here wonderful. The door and bell staff are the most gracious, kind, and helpful we have ever experienced. The reception, room service, and food staff were attentive, responsive, and friendly. All in all our stay was quite enjoyable.
It’s a beautiful property, but some of the people at the front desk were pretty unprofessional, For example, when I called for an ice bucket and some ice, no one responded with any kind of alacrity, so I went down to the front desk and got it myself. Eventually the ice bucket arrived, but long after I got it myself. I couldn’t even understand the guy at the front desk giving me some kind of initial orientation. He spoke too quickly and seemed to mumble his words, as if he had done this too many times and was reciting it from rote. They were apparently supposed to offer us a spiked drink at check in, but didn’t offer it to us until check out the next day, and then the bar was closed. They are obviously having a hard time finding good, professional type people to staff their professional looking hotel.…
Very comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff (call out to the Front desk, to the Bell boy, to Shane at the Venteux restaurant and to Alex the Concierge!). Overall it was a great experience, but next time I will bear in mind that it is in the center, and that it seems Chicagoans like loud music in their cars ;)
The best staff!!! Every one was so friendly. The building is amazing. We loved the views from the one bedroom suite of downtown Chicago and the river. So many things to do within walking distance. Can’t wait to go back.
The Pendry is in a great location for business or leisure travelers. I stayed in a room in the 23rd floor and really expected there to be less street noise that high up, but that wasn’t the case. Between 8-11p the noise was nearly unbearable at times. This could perhaps be mitigated by adding some noise dampening window coverings as opposed to the thin roller blind and sheers that are used currently.
Other than a mild issue with my toilet, this is a beautiful hotel. Great location to Millennium Park, the River Walk and the Magnificent Mile shopping area. The bed is also absolutely comfortable. I always appreciate having a Nespresso coffee maker in my room.
Stayed at several Pendry locations, but Chicago is one of my favorites so far. The architecture of the building, the amazing front desk (DaShay, Felipe) bell boy Jovani. We had a great time. Totally recommend
This was my second time staying at the Pendry, and this time, I was able to take my partner with me. I had hyped the property to her (and she was already a fan of the brand, having visited the San Diego property earlier this year), and I am thrilled to say that the Pendry lived up to our expectations, and more. Everything about our stay was wonderful - my partner arrived early in the morning, and was greeted by friendly staff members and was able to work from the lobby prior to checking in. When I arrived later that evening, we enjoyed the fantastic views from our room before delicious snacks and cocktails at the rooftop bar, Château Carbide. Our room was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. In the morning, I was thankful for the fitness center, and appreciated the front desk's willingness to hold our bags while we went to lunch after checking out. Every step of the way, I felt welcome and appreciated, and can't wait to head back to Chicago for another stay at the Pendry!…
The Pendry Chicago was the perfect stay for a long weekend conveniently located inside the loop. We walked everywhere and was also close to the train stop for trips away from the neighborhood. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Possible improvement would be to ask for a room away from the street. Even though we were on the 23rd floor the street noise was a bit much. Life in the big city.
