The good: Location was great, it's close to everything. It has a parking garage. The room was beautiful, with a decent city view. The bad: The pillows were horrible, flat & chunky. The onsite restaurant service was some of the worst that we have experienced. They had discontinued cleaning services because of covid. The shower leaked out onto the floor. The mini bar fridge did not keep drinks cold. No microwave. No USB plugs.

Considering due to COVID properties are supposed to be taking extra cleaning measures it seemed like this location wasn’t even doing the bare minimum cleaning. The hallways and elevator looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed since before COVID started. The rooms had visible signs in of being poorly maintained (stains, etc) and just felt unclean all around. Even our balcony had trash on it, a juice container that looked like it had been there for well over a year. The mini bar fridge was even disgusting. When we checked in the woman at the front seemed highly inconvenienced by literally any question. I would recommend steering clear of this hotel, especially with so many options in the area. It’s also on a portion off of Wacker drive that is impossible for ride shares to find due to the upper/lower decks and GPS often confuses them further. Would’ve definitely checked out early if we hadn’t prepaid. This hotel was the low light of an otherwise very good trip.

Me and my late wife needed to be away from home for a few days on vacation. The Radlsson Blu turned out to be both welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were very good indeed and all staff were attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We had a basic room and though the decor was a little dated, it was still roomy, nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. In fact, you can forget completely that you are so near the A12/M25 because it's a little oasis of calm. I would recommend this hotel as excellent value for anyone needing to stay in Chicago.

Pros Hotel lobby was super modern and cute, our room was also almost Vegas themed and cool. Desk was a little banged up from hotel wear and tear, but our room was very clean. The hotel bar had amazing drinks although they did close pretty early the first night we arrived (11pm on a Friday). Front desk staff was pleasant. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby. Cons: Parking, I’m not sure who designed the parking garage situation, but I couldn’t think about older guests trying to navigate the very steep ramp on the first floor of the garage. There are also several very awkward doors to navigate with luggage. The garage is very dimly lit and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was built in 1972… give or take a few years lol! Parking was $52 per day and was self parking (some of the cheapest I saw at places near downtown). Also, the outdoor pool seems as if it wasn’t used in a year, it just has haphazard furniture everywhere and looks as if you’re at a weird corporate pool party, pool chairs were not comfortable, and poolside cocktails were less than impressing. Our room minibar was emptied which was fine with us, but the fridge portion wouldn’t get cold either. Overall I would stay again especially since I know what to expect.

Carpet has red stains all over. Two of them look new and that there was no attempt to clean them. Huge white stain on ottoman (super gross). Table and doors have prints on them (not cleaned). Coffee pot extremely dusty. No kleenex in kleenex box. Do not stay here!! Very dirty!!
