The bed was covered with a bed skirt and a curtain as a blanket. we requested blankets, but we didn't receive them until the next day when we requested again. We also told the manager about the covers on the bed and he just looked at us and asked:"What do you want, a blanket?" Breakfast omelets were frozen.
New and clean. Very functional and practical design. Breakfast was grab and go due to Covid, but healthy and substantial. Gym is great. Front desk helpful. Great location, with a really innovative modern Indian take out restaurant across the street. (Think Chicken Masala Pizza!) All in all a great stay at a very reasonable price for Chicago. Highly recommend!
not worth the price. at the arrival the sofa-bed was not ready (with no bed linen). after request to staff, bed linen was provided but we had to prepare the bed from ourself. room not cleaned even if we stayed for 5 days and we requested one cleaning. really poor breakfast with a long waiting time for a self service. We had to wait more than 20 min. yogurt and milk already finished (breakfast served between 7 and 9 and we reached the breakfast area at 8). just some pre-packaged omelette was available to be heated on the microwave (wait time for the microwave 10min).
Terrible management, when I experienced no Wi-Fi in my room they tell you to work with an 800 number 3rd party. Worked with 3rd party for 4 hours only to find out that the issue was the Wi-Fi mesh unit in my room. Eventually was offered another room and that fixed problem. Also fridge leaked water on floor and no hand soap in bathroom. Only comment by management was "sorry"
This hotel had everything we needed for a successful business trip and a little fun in Chicago. We were in town for a convention and the hotel was busy, but the staff was on top of everything and friendly! The room was impeccably clean, bed and pillows comfortable, and well appointed with amenities and storage to place things. We loved the fridge and real china and silverware to heat up some delicious leftovers we didn't want to waste. The breakfast in the morning had just the right stuff to get you going and the coffee was really good - and I'm a Nespresso snob at home! Perfect location and room. Thanks to Andrew the GM for his gracious hospitality and Mark at the front desk for all his assistance. We look forward to our next visit!
I’m a Hilton Gold member, so bear in mind this is how it went for one of Hilton’s highest category members. Hilton is doing a great job promoting its competitors, Marriott, Hyatt or even Airbnb. I was traveling for business; my needs - Safety, Silence and a comfortable bed. The first two, the property did well. But the first room I got had a bed that was so badly angled I ended up with a headache the next day. When the front desk was informed they nonchalantly said we will refund you $50, believing that the problem would go away… well how about actually giving me a bed I could sleep on…. Shocking… I wrote to Chris Nassetta’s office and got no reply. After the third day, with headaches and backaches resulting from the bed on the second day, I set up my bed on the floor and was much more comfortable. Wow. A Hilton Gold member having to sleep on the floor at a Hilton property because the hotel doesn’t care and the HIlton group’s executive office doesn’t either…. On day 4, I was moved to another room and while the bed was good, the sheets were filthy… I don’t know what it is with this property but I certainly didn’t want to be on stained sheets that could have been defecated on, improperly washed and then ironed to have the stains caked in… so I took the sheets off and slept on the bed…. Don’t stay here unless you are either disinterested in a peaceful stay OR you want problems. To top it all, Hilton is in such a bad place at the moment… The hotel manager emailed me requesting for a meeting and when I showed up on time (because I had to head for a flight), she was not there. What a joke.. Then, someone from Chris Nassetta’s office reaches out to me by email and then she goes off for a week long vacation with no one else at Hilton able to handle the issue… It looks like Chris is steering the Hilton boat in a very wrong direction and its a shame as this culture always starts at the top and it seems like Hilton leadership (and hence all employees) are disinterested in their guests.. It’s a shame.. I used to really like this group. That said, I then flew to Houston and stayed at a Hyatt property, which was at standard if not a bit above……
Great spot, within minutes of everything & amazing staff (if your lucky enough to meet J on the night shift!) Great family getaway! Take advantage of all the traditions around the hotel, including the restaurants. We will be back for sure :)
Took my kids for a few days. Room had enough space and was clean. Having the full kitchenette was great. Front desk associates were friendly and helpful. Typical breakfast spread with waffles, cereal, pastries, etc. Was a bit crowded, so get there early. Location was walking distance to a lot, like the subway, magnificent mile, restaurants, etc. We would stay here again.
Stayed here with a friend after finishing a long train trip in order to rest before going the last 200 miles on a bus. This hotel has a great location with a friendly and helpful staff. Check in and check out were easy. I would definitely stay here again. I do wish there was a more private partician between the bed and pull out couch. The curtain separating the two is thin.
Good hotel in a good location. Apparently breakfast is/was included, but we don't recall getting information on that when we checked in. Our ride share drivers had a hard time finding us, because the entrance is located in an odd spot... and isn't too obvious. We liked being able to walk to several places and felt the location was good for what we wanted to do while visiting. Room was clean and had basic amenities. Really wish hotels would update their tvs to allow for streaming services.
