Detailed Reviews
Well located lodging, 24 hour phone service and public transport (blue line subway and buses) is just around the corner.
In terms of cleanliness however, there was pet hair, floors were dirty and the sofa was stained.
Clearly the unit was not cleaned properly.
Cost per room was excessive, I would not return.

Pictures on the website were not of the apartment I booked. The apartment was much smaller than anticipated and the window let essentially no natural light in as it was facing a wall. The place was clean upon checking in and the check in was a breeze. Overall, the experience was ok until my last night when I was woken up by a terrible chemical odor. I exited my room into the hallway to find out my door and parts of the hallway had been sprayed with some type of chemical (assuming it was paint thinner by the smell). There was a guy standing in the hallway wearing a respirator with a plastic bottle full of some solution. When he saw me he became confrontational and started yelling asking who I was and why was I here. I ended up calling 911 and vacating the property immediately. I'm still waiting for the local Ginosi host to contact me (I mean, even to verify my safety).

Warning: Facebook-Type Parties Happening Here
While the location is great and my room was comfortable, you do not want to end up with a loud party next to your room. The party started at around 11:00 in room 203. Loup rap music playing non-stop til the wee hours of the night. Party-goers were smoking cannabis, so much that my room was filled with smoke and smelled of dope. I politely asked the individuals to tone it down, and was told that I was a racist. I felt threatened. I contacted the virtual receptionist to ask for assistance, but apparently no manager was able to help (office located in Erevan, Armenia). I was transferred to another room (room 103), which appeared to be better suited as the party appeared to die out. Unfortunately, that was the eye of the hurricane. And ending up having he party above me. High-heels on a floor can be annoying. Someone was also playing some kind of game which consists of throwing beads (?) / pennies (?) on the floor continuously. I called the Chicago Police Dept for assistance only to be told that they couldn’t assist. People kept arriving, and people were just walking in and out of the building even though a code is required to enter the premises. Called back several more time the reception, and finally the agent agreed to send the cops. Police came knocking on the door, but the guests never opened, so cops walked away (around 4:00 am). The party finally ended at 5:30 am. It ruined my night, let alone my next day. Maybe management should consider asking guests to sign a waiver that this is a non-smoking building and parties are not permitted. There is a camera in the lobby so I don’t understand why the virtual receptionist could not see what is going on. Instead of trying to contact the guests, there should be some security available. I am also convinced that this is not the first time this happens. I found evidence of cigarette burns on the table and couch. I will never come back again and I will keep on nagging the hotel management until I get a full refund.

My husband and I loved this convenient location; there is a Blue Line train stop right by, plus excellent coffee at Big Shoulders a few feet away. The space is exactly what we were looking for and more. We stayed in Chicago for Riot Fest and wanted to be able to get good rest each night. The washer/dryer in the unit is a huge help. Easy access coming/going with the key pad code. Would stay again, more than a standard "hotel" experience.
