We stayed here for 3 nights 7/2022. We have stayed her several times before, and do like the location. This year they have implemented a resort fee, which apparently is for a water bottle on check-in and and the availabilty of coffee in the lobby area. We were informed we would not have daily maid service for our 3 night stay. This hotel is not a resort, and I have never been charged this type of fee----even AT a resort. Ridiculous. We won't be back

Hotel Felix is situated in a very good location in downtown Chicago. There is a lobby seating area and a room for storing luggage etc. There wasn't any food available onsite but coffee and hot water were available in this lobby area each morning. The room was small but clean and adequate for our stay. We had a nice view of city lights from our top floor room. We enjoyed our stay as we were able to sightsee each day comfortably and there were many restaurants around to enjoy nice food. They advertised a gym but we didn't check it out.

Shower was set to hottest, and was not adjustable. Reported to front desk four times over three days. Did not fix nor offer another room. Would not discount. Room was very small. Air conditioning was not working in lobby Location was great. Management never responded.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had literally the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The phone was broken, the shower handle fell off any time we touched it, and there wasn’t a hair dryer or a coffee maker in the room. In spite of all of this, we weren’t going to complain but on our second night we came back to the hotel from a Cubs game and didn’t have any running water in the room. Initially when we walked in, I asked the front desk for extra towels to shower and they gave them to me without saying a word, knowing the water was off in the whole hotel. When I went down again and asked why the water wasn’t working they gave me a huge attitude and said that we were basically SOL and handed me a bottle of water, like that was going to suffice for showering and for drinking. We went back to the front desk twice that night and were never offered anything more than a bottle of water and an attitude. After checking out the hotel denied us a refund of that night and continue to stone wall us as they have done to other reviewers as well. The only redeeming factor was our trips.com partner that we booked through, they were amazing in a bad situation. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at Hotel Felix!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Staff were helpful and welcoming, our room was modestly sized, but bed was really comfortable and bathroom good. We were missing a hairdryer, but everything else ok. Tea and coffee are available for guests in the lobby in the morning.

Traveled for business and leisure. Clean rooms with good views. Awesome location. Ate at Portillio's one of the best spots to get a Chicago hot dog. Shopped on Michigan Avenue just a few blocks away. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will be back!

Hotel was super close to great shopping, food, drinks, etc. Enjoyed watching fireworks off Navy Pier within walking distance. Cute boutique style rooms, and the staff was one of a kind! Thank you Felix staff!!!

I have never left a review for TripAdvisor but my experience at Hotel Felix was so terrible, I had to warn potential customers. When I arrived, my sheets and pillows were dirty and my shower did not work. I was there for a wedding and discovered this as I was getting ready for the rehearsal dinner. Maintenance finally showed up close to midnight but couldn't fix it. The only thing they could do was offer me clean pillows and sheets. I spent two nights at the hotel because all others were sold out When I checked out and asked for a discount because i did not have a working shower my entire stay, I was told I needed to contact Chase Travel because that's who I booked through. When I contected Chase Travel, Hotel Felix DENIED any discount. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Several points about this hotel. 1). My room was definitely nice. Small, but nice. I was traveling solo. It would have been much too small if there was a second person. 2). I don’t know how this hotel could be classified as a 4-star hotel, though. My room was nice, but there was NOTHING at this hotel in June 2022. I asked if there were amenities, like a pool. No pool. I was told that there was a nice sitting area on the mezzanine. I was also told about the business center and the fitness room. Ok. Fine. But…a fitness room and a sitting area are not enough for a 4-star hotel, even if the small rooms are nice. 3). I was charged a “resort fee”. This was on the hotel’s website, so I wasn’t surprised. But…what did I get for that? I was given ONE bottle of water when I happened to stop at the reception desk. 4). The Front Desk staff were nice. 5). The sitting area in the lobby was small. Would I stay there again? Maybe if the price was much lower to reflect the lack of amenities. Unfortunately, that would probably mean that not nice people would be there.

Nicer hotel than I thought it would be. I usually stay closer to Michigan Ave where most of the hotels are, but this was an excellent location, close to both the red and brown trains and many N/S bus lines, close to great restaurants, and close to a number of gyms and workout facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were fine and in good shape, but small. Hotel workout room minimal (dumbbells+bench, Swiss ball, rollers, 2 treads, 2 ellipticals). Free coffee in the morning, no food. Plenty of breakfast places within 3 blocks. I’d definitely stay here again.
