Overall nice experience. Room was nice and new. Staff was friendly. Little bit pricey. Got double charged accidentally and Steve took care of it right away. “Urban experience fee” was a waste of money. Should tell guests before they book the stay the hidden fee. Valet parking absurdly expensive. Food in restaurant was okay and pricey as well.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our first trip back to Chicago post COVID and what a fantastic stay. This is my favourite hotel in Chicago. Great location with walking distance to the river, fountain, art institute, parks and Michigan ave. The hotel was as beautiful and spotless as i remember it and the service was amazing, friendly and attentive. We had our breakfasts and 1 lunch in Columba’s tap and the service was wonderful. Shout out to Moe, Haili, and Marisa for great hospitality and starting our day off on a great note. The Columbus Tap pancakes are the best ever! ,

Thanks to front desk Daisy, for amazing customer service and being nice as we continued the check in process. She was very helpful and was able to answer all our questions that we had. Greeted my guest and I with a complimentary bottle which was very nice of her.

Very pleasant and short stay at Fairmont Copley Plaza. Smooth check in online, very well appointed room. Also enjoyed the breakfast downstairs. The location is amazing close to some great restaurants and shopping. Very well run property.

This is our second time staying at The Fairmont in the past three months. We booked for a last minute business trip in October and loved our stay. We chose to book again this time and once again, had a wonderful stay! Coleen at the front desk was so accommodating, and helped us sign up for rewards program. She upgraded our room to a high floor and gave us late check out to enjoy breakfast the next day before we left. She was went above and beyond with recommendations and even remembered a story we had shared with her at check in the previous day. Having young children, we rarely get time away and it really meant a lot to us that she was so kind. We will stay here again when we return to Chicago.

It’s quite a dilemma when you’re beyond satisfied with the over all experience and at the same time, massively disappointed with a specific ugly incident. My likings: ~ The holiday decor swarming the lobby ~ Polite and swift front desk officer ~ Room size ~ Convenient mini breakfast bar The ugly: To give a clear context on this, I was truly grateful when they granted my request to have a microwave and refrigerator but this turned out to be useless since these items were overwhelmed with a fetid smell of cleaning agent. I was not able to use them in the end. Never use Clorox to clean them, it’s unsafe and in fact dangerous.

I waited in a long line at check in only for the clerk to say I had to sign up for the rewards program to get early checkin. Then I waited for the bell man for 10 minutes and had to get someone to find him. Then I asked where I could purchase bottled water and they sent me to room service. No where to buy water??? How strange. I could hear every word the man in the room next to me was saying on his phone call. The room had an odd smell like cough drops.

I stayed at the Fairmont on business. The room was comfortable, and I enjoyed my time there. Due to the nature of my business, I didn't have much opportunity to check out the hotel amenities, but what I did experience was top-notch. Check-in and check-out were quick and painless. I was greeted warmly when I left and re-entered the hotel which was nice.

The heat in the room barely worked. In spite of turning the heat up the room failed to ever warm up. Hotel staff simply said it takes awhile for the heat to make up so many floors. Absolutely awful experience.
