I really enjoyed my stay, the room was clean, the workers were helpful and the bed was really comfy. We did have to take a few lyfts to and from the hotel as it's not really in walking distance to the attractions such as the magnificent mile or navy pier but definitely worth the stay.

I can not believe I stumbled onto making a reservation at this hotel, which checks all my boxes and then some. I am 64 years old, so I am forever nostalgic for the way hotels used to be. Let me see if I can hit all the points of happiness for me at this place. To start with, the lady at the front desk was incredibly polite and helpful. I am sorry I did not get her name. She also didn’t turn me away, as I was 20 minutes before official check in time. My room was huge! Spacious and perfectly laid out, with a full length sliding mirror door on the closet, which contained an ironing board and iron! There was a fridge for my wonderful leftovers from Chinatown, a coffeemaker, and a window I could open! The A/C unit kept the room exactly how I like it. The tub was a jacuzzi (without jets) which afforded me a heavenly bath this morning. The drain plug did not leak and once pulled, the tub drained freely. The light in the bathroom was perfect. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were generous. I did not hear a SOUND and slept better than I do at home. I walked all over this neighborhood, after getting here from Midway by taking the Orange line to Halstead and walking from there. I can’t wait to get a chance to stay here again. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Very good hotel for someone driving that still wants to be close to downtown. We walked everywhere no problem. It’s close to everything has free parking clean spacious and reasonably priced. Attention was good too. Don’t expect a breakfast the coffee shop is the only downside. Overall will go back.

We had a no thrills stay at this hotel. If you are wanting a good place to stay for a White Sox game, this is definitely it. The staff were all very friendly and warm. The rooms had minimal items such as no blow dryer, no body wash in the container (brought our own so no issue for us), and only one regular coffee. Thankfully there was a cozy cafe on the first floor and their coffee was great.

I've stayed here many times over five or six years. It is a great bargain of a hotel, ideally situated from all things Chicago, always clean, always a friendly and helpful staff, great free parking. Yes, it can be noisy...it's in the middle of the busiest highway interchanges of the city...but it's the city and the city is noisy. Enjoy it!

We stayed there October 9th and had to pay $250 because it was a Saturday. You walk in and it kind of looks like they're out of business - there's this sort of bleakness about the lobby. Our room was grubby. Everywhere you looked there were smears of dirt: the light switches, the laminated thing with TV channels. the remote, the lamps, you name it. One of the covers on my sister's bed had some kind of gross stain on it. The carpet and furniture were probably chosen to camoflauge dirt - we did not dare sit on the couch or leave our luggage on the carpet. Our TV didn't work, our shower didn't work, the A/C was loud. Oh, and they don't have secure internet. Oh, and they say they have a restaurant, but they don't. We requested a partial or full refund, but they refused, saying that we should have called the one person at the front desk and asked for a new room. WHY? Was our room somehow the outlier in terms of one-star status? I suppose all the others are 4-star, as they falsely claim their hotel is? Run, don't walk, away from this hotel. And where are all these 5-star reviews coming from? Trust me, this hotel doesn't even deserve one star.

Chicago South Loop Hotel is very noisy. The L train is so close it sounds like it’s coming through the room. There is also a lot of loud street traffic. The hotel is older and doesn’t have good insulation or windows to help avoid noise. There were also guests making a lot of noise in the hallway and room’s next door all through the night. It’s not an enjoyable experience to stay at this hotel if you need rest. The hotel is fairly clean.

Free parking. Gorgeous deco. The room that was given was immaculate. The staff answered questions with kindness and professionalism. I have come here several times and the service has been great each time. I have traveled the world and this meets the qualifications of a well run boutique hotel. This is a must stay when you travel to Chicago. Near downtown, near highway, restaurants, convention center, Navy Pier, and there is free parking at the hotel.

In a nut shell, everything looked so old. I just did not like it at all. There was also a Bears game going on and there were a lot of drunk people inside and outside the hotel bothering the patrons as they left the building.

We paid again in order to move to another hotel. This hotel, despite its name, is not anywhere near the Southloop. It’s actually south and west of McCormick Place. It would be a very long walk to the Southloop
