This guesthouse provided me with an excellent experience. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable, and the staff was outstanding. We were three, and our breakfast/dinner served at least seven people. Levan and Mila, the owners, will make you feel at ease. They went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. This guesthouse is highly recommended for anyone visiting Mazeri.

This is as close as you can get to the authentic experience of Svan village and the life of people there. Since Mazeri is lacking svan towers, there are few tourists that venture out here. So, you still can see and submerge into the real life of real people. Mila (and her whole family) are wonderful, hard working people. Everything they cook (for breakfasts/dinners) is fresh and cooked on a daily base. They cook it on old fashioned iron stoves, fueled by wood, just the way it was 100 years ago, which made us appreciate meals even more. They are kind, hospitable people, that treated my kids as their own (we travelled with 6 and 9 year olds). The room was old fashioned but with very comfortable beds and super clean sheets/towels. My kids had a blast with their livestock of cows/chickens/sheep etc. They even let my daughter ride their horse around the backyard. Please note, that bathroom/shower are located in a separate room attached to the house. But it's very modern. And we never had a problem with waiting for it, even though we shared with with few other tourists/guests of the house. Overall - A+ experience. Great people, great food, fantastic views!!! The family speaks perfect Russian (which was great, since we are originally from Russia). don't expect much English, but... I honestly think that language is not important, when it comes to hospitality. We are all humans, and we all understand the language of kindness and love.

As farm to table as it gets. The eggs and milk were from this morning. The veal for dinner was slaughtered the night before. The bread was baked just before breakfast and the homemade wine is served out of recycled bottles.. This is a real working farm guest house in Mazeri. Which means rustic in every way. Cows, chickens, pigs and pastures. These most delicious meals are served communally, cooked off a wood fired oven in the main house. We spent 5 nights all around svaneti and these were the freshest, tastiest, most hospitable meals we ever had.

This is one of the most amazing places I ever stayed at. This guesthouse is run by a collective of 10 grandmothers, headed by Mila, ever-energetic little old lady. The village of Mazeri is very quiet, and a bit off the beaten track, and we are so glad we chose it for our trip to Svanetia. The views of the mountains are incredible, and the hike to the Ushba Glacier is breathtaking (in every sense). At this guesthouse you will get a truly authentic experience with the Svaneti food. Mila will feed you really well, and all food comes from the village. You will get to meet the cows, whose milk will be used to make tasty mazoni in the morning and cheese for your khachapuri. Blueberries for the jam are hand-picked on the mountain slopes, and local herbs go into making of svaneti salt. In spite of being in a medieval mountain village with the ruins of Svan towers, the facilities are modern and very clean. Mila knows everyone in the village and can arrange any service, like renting horses for a mountain ride. I highly recommend this place - you will remember local hospitality forever.

Mila is a wonderful Grandmotherly woman, kind, sincere, and a good cook too! We were humbly surprised by the newly renovated lodgings and were very comfortable in our double room, had a great hot shower and three yummy meals. Mila Guest House is just past the stone tower on the Left hand side of the road before Peak Mazeri GH, there is a little blue gate. It is surrounded by beautiful orchards and flowers, in fact I had one of the best apples ever, ripe right off the tree outside my room! The trail head for the Ushba Glacier is about 500 meters away and takes about 4hrs up and 3 hours back and is totally worth it, make sure to cross bridge near the Hotel and follow road on far side of river to trail head.. Thank you Mila for being a wonderful host :)

The food is plentiful and tasty, the beds were nice. They have modern-style bathrooms and showers have hot water. The guesthouse is still very traditional and charming, with a garden with chickens, and the views are really superb. Our stay was comfortable and at the same time we got to experience some of the traditional Svanetian way of life. The owner is a lovely lady, and she seems genuinely interested in the well-being of her guests. The price we paid (directly to her without booking) was very reasonable. Mila speaks Russian but no English. For us it was not a problem, despite my *very* limited Russian vocabulary.
