I honestly don't understand where these great reviews come from. We camped in the garden - the next dat he tried to charge us for 2 diners and 2 breakfasts, which we didn't have and 40gel for camping, which is a LOT. After a, not very pleasant, discussion, he deducted the diners and breakfast. We didn't find the guy welcoming at all. The location and view is great, no doubt about that, but we had the same view at guesthouse shuan (his neighbour), but with much better service! (And cleaner bathroom).

Great place to stay, Murman and his family are very accepting, very kind and very special! The house is gorgeous, in one of the most beautiful locations I've ever visited. My friend and I stayed for 3 nights which ended up being 4 due to us being stranded there for a night, but we were not charged for the extra night which was great. They have two lovely dogs who we became friends with, and they helped us with booking anything we needed (transit, horses etc.) Minor notes - We didn't have a lightbulb in our room, and it wasn't changed while we were there so obviously we were in darkness but that wasn't much of a problem because we were sleeping anyway. We also had some Wi-Fi issues in terms of connection and availability, sometimes it would randomly appear and other times it would disappear for a few hours. We also had some teething issues with communication, such as when we had to get up for breakfast an hour earlier (to catch a minibus) but Murman's wife hadn't been told. No one's fault, but minor issues like this did happen and prevents me from giving it 5 out of 5. More like 4.8/5! I can't recommend this place enough, if you're willing to make it out here, the family who take care of this place are brilliant and the whole experience will make your life better! Thank you so much to everyone there!

Everything was fine! Very hospitable owners. We have been there for one week. Combined living in a house with climbing in the mountains. Great view of the river Ushba from the window. Recommended to everyone.

Arrived here late evening, Murman accepted me as a part of his family, him his brother and mother were all very interested in my story how and why I came here which was a hike from Mestia where I got lost on the way 😁 Outside temperature is -10 degrees and rooms are really nice and warm during the night ,very clean and cosy house in general. They will provide you with amazing horse rides and local tours for the best price food that this family is cooking just what I neede to experience authentic life in Caucasus Mountain If we talk about location then there is almost no better place to be, right at the bottom of Mt. Ushba This time I was here alone but during summer time I will bring my family to this wonderful place Can 100% suggest this place and will be returning soon Thank you 🙏

Peak Mazeri is a simple and nice guesthouse. If you are looking for a great place surrounded by nature Peak Mazeri Guest House is perfect place! View from the room is awesome! Second last house before the start of the Ushguli Glacier track. It is also a good place for doing some short tracking activities - you can easily do one day walking/tracking tours to several mountain passes and waterfalls nearby. So it's at the very end of the main road of the valley. The house is a very friendly place, you can get a single room or even just camping on the garden in front of they house. The food is very good and homemade. The homemade dinner is really recommendable! Rooms and bathroom is good. Murman (the owner) can help you with something. We had a lovely time staying at Peak Mazeri hotel. So my advice is go there and enjoy Svanetia!

We stayed in the month of Sep 2018. We booked a double room with mountain view, and were allocated to bedroom 3. Room is pretty basic with a double bed and a coffee table for luggage. View from the room is awesome. However, I must said the tour given by the host (Murman) was definitely overpriced. Transfer from/to Mestia town - GEL50 / trip Ushguli & Waterfall - GEL350 *Please do note that you still have to trek about 1h to waterfall and he will drop you at Hiker Cafe to walk in yourself. It will probably save you 40min max to walk from Guesthouse to Hiker Cafe Old village Guli - GEL100 (We went on a separate day, one of his Friends came along and brought us around.) Lunch / Dinner - GEL15 per person per meal (which is kind of pricey) Breakfast - GEL10 per person He quoted us GEL250 for transfer from Mestia to Zugdidi, which we did not take up as it was too costly. The review about him stopping multiple times to meet his friends/relatives are very true, at least in my case. We stopped for almost 2h in total out of 8h day trip. And he was on the phone for a couple of times while driving. Do note that there is ONLY one bathroom for the guests. The water supply will stop when others use it. Overall, as we can only converse in English (very limited speakers in Svaneti) and it was our first time in Svaneti thus we are wholly reliant on Murman. He handle all our tours and transport personally. Given the price he is quoting, we would have expected better services. That said, if you are self sufficient (have own transport and can get around Svaneti without help), Peak Mazeri is a great place to stay.

If you are looking for a great place surrounded by nature Peak Mazeri Guest House is perfect place!! It is positioned on the slopes of Peak Mazeri and just 5 minutes waking from the hiking path to the falls and Glacier. The house is a very friendly place, you can get a single room or even just camping on the garden in front of they house. The food is very good and homemade by the sister of the Boss. The Boss, my friend Murman, is like a Big Brother if he can help you with something he will do it and he is also a good driver and guide, so you do not need to go looking around for tours or information because he will provide you all you need. It was bringing us to Ushguli, driving safe on a very crazy road..!!! So my advice is go there and enjoy Svanetia!!!
