When in Pocatello I choose to stay at this hotel. The staff is super and attentive. Love the full refrigerator when you are staying longer than a night, allows me to cook. Carpet a little dated but clean and the new sheets are super comfy!
Stayed 1 night while on a road trip. Have stayed at many Marriott properties & this hotel is badly in need of a face lift. Feels shabby, old & not as clean as It could be. Glasses in cupboard were even dirty. Hair on the bathroom floors. Thin bedding and flat pillows. Walls are super thin. Breakfast was basic cold options which is expected during covid but could be more original. Parking is easy.
I stayed at this hotel for over 30 days for work-related reasons. The hotel is a bit outdated but having now transferred back East to a much more modern Hilton, I can say that this hotel is above average in its COVID precautions and the staff are unparalleled in their kindness and commitment to hospitality. The hotel furnishings are more than adequate - my room was clean, mostly quiet (although the walls were a bit thin if you had a noisy neighbor) and where it really matters this hotel delivered - my bed delivered me an uninterrupted very comfortable night's sleep each night, the kitchen allowed me to cook healthy meals and avoid take out, and the TV in the room let me connect my Netflix account and provided me unlimited access to HBO and other channels. What I really appreciate about the staff (shout out to Rosemary, Amanda, and Jacob to name the superstars at this Marriott) is they went above and beyond at every turn. No request was an inconvenience, they seemed to genuinely care that you had what you needed and experienced a comfortable stay away from home. I was shocked to return East and be met with maskless faces at the hotel desk, a closed pool, and a gym that is open to up to 3 guests at a time. At this Marriott you can reserve the pool and gym by appointment which is in accordance with CDC guidance that pools cannot spread COVID and gyms can. Even though this hotel could benefit from an investment of some updated features and lacks amenities like USB outlets or plugs in the lamps, it was a very welcomed and comfortable respite away from home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you to Jacob for letting me in the gym every day at 5 am, Amanda for always calling me about my packages and helping me reserve the pool, and Rosemary for endless smiles, sending up housekeeping items, and opened doors. They all deserve an award and a raise!…
We were very disappointed in our stay! We’ve stayed at a lot of Marriotts, and this one was the most disgusting. Our socks were black after just a few minutes of walking around on the carpet. They probably have not been cleaned since they were put in 10 years ago. In addition we found a sock on the corner of the bed that didn’t belong to anybody in our room. We really worried about how well this room had been serviced. They said they were stepping up their cleaning game with COVID but this hotel missed the memo.
We stayed 2 nights at the TowerPlace Suites. We were in room 104, which had a king bed, TV, A/C, iron and ironing board, a 2 seat sleeper sofa, and an almost complete full kitchen, with a full size fridge, microwave, 2 burner stove, dishwasher, and kitchen sink. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The hall closet was big and the bathroom also had access to that closet, too, which seemed unusual. On one end of the sofa, was an elevated cushion/pillow, which I could never figure out its purpose. The desk had a table underneath it, which rolled out to be a separate table for eating, which I thought was nice. Because of COVID-19, they only offered muffins and granola bars at the front desk for breakfast. For doing laundry, the washer cost $2 and the dryer also cost $2 The driveway to the hotel was a little tricky to find, and we passed it the first time we tried to get to the hotel. (You must turn way before the hotel). We would stay here again.…
