This is not a luxury hotel, but it gets the job done. Stayed here when passing through the area. It was relatively clean and the bed was comfortable. It is dated and the bathroom could have used some attention - it needed a new shower curtain and the towels had stains but appeared to be clean.
Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable. Good to have a microwave and refrigerator. TV was large! Plenty of hot water. Our room was quiet - we couldn't hear sounds from anyone else's room or outside much and the heat/AC unit was quiet as well. The staff was pleasant at check-in and check out. This hotel is an excellent value - I will choose it again when we are in the area.
I have stayed here several times and this is probably my best pick for NE Atlanta area with a large mini-fridge. I don't think they have efficiencies(kitchenette). Rooms are well maintained. Upgrades have nicer artistic furniture. Pool closed over winter months.
My husband stayed at the Brick Lodge while traveling on business. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Motel and room were clean and in good shape. The location was good and appeared safe. Bed was a little on the soft side, but he found it comfortable and he slept well. Motel was quiet.
Unexpectedly needed a room for one person on a Thursday night. Thro' the parking lot was nearly full - a room was available. The room was great for what it was - a budget hotel. Only two complaints: 1) The bed was very soft, almost saggy. My back hurt a bit in the morning; 2) The hot water turned lukewarm after several minutes - but not quite cold.
My husband and I stayed at the Brick Lodge for one night. This is an older “motel” that has been well maintained over the years. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool looked spotless, although it was closed. The room was very clean, and there is at least one elevator. Our king bed was very soft, not to our liking, but I didn’t reduce my rating for that since everything else was great. The Lodge is a block or so off the main drag, and there are idiots who love to show everyone how loud their cars are. That said, our room overlooking the pool near the front of the building was very quiet. We didn’t hear anything through the night, either from traffic or neighbors. Overall, this is a nice place and we would stay there again.
This hotel met all my expectations based on the positive reviews I'd read. Located just off I-85 but on a wooded cul-de-sac in a quiet setting. The hotel has a little age on it but has been renovated and well kept. I totally recommend it as a low-cost option when staying in the Atlanta area... about a 30 minute trip from it to downtown ATL attractions.
This place won't impress you on the outside but the rooms are suprisingly clean and modern. They must've done a renovation recently because the carpet, mattress and furniture all seemed brand new since there were no cigarette burns and scratches like you see at other hotels. Flat screen TV is really big for this price point since I only seen TVs of this size at the pricey hotel chains like Marriott and Hilton. Cable selection is pretty good. The WiFi is not blazing fast but still good enough to stream Netflix and YouTube with no problems. It was very quiet at night with no shady people walking around. Parking could get somewhat crowded but I always got a spot near my room. About the only downside is that the parking lot needs re-surfaced since there were some bumps and potholes that irritated me whenever I came back at night to park. It's located right off I-85 which means quick access to Atlanta and the beltway. There's a QuikTrip convenience store and several fast food places nearby like McDonald's and Waffle House. There's also a Bruster's so you can make that ice cream run in the summertime. I was almost going to stay at the Red Roof Inn across the freeway from this hotel but glad I didn't because that place is a real dump compared to this one.…
The pictures of the outside may make one think that this is an older hotel and may not have updated accoutrements. However, the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover", applies here. Yes it is an older hotel. What I like about that is this building is solidly built and you don't hear your neighbors through the wall. The hotel is being updated and we stayed in one of the new rooms - king with massage chair (what a great relief after a long drive). The beds are very comfortable (I slept the entire night in an unfamiliar place and barely moved because the bed was so comfortable). The location is close to the freeway, many restaurants, grocery stores and gas nearby. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.
It’s not the Ritz but it’s nice and clean. This is just your basic motel but cleaner than more expensive places I’ve stayed in. It’s very easy to get to, just off the Interstate. I was very glad to see how well lit the parking lot was since we were in a pick up truck with loads of things in the back. The man at the desk was very friendly and showed me the monitors where they would keep an eye on our truck. I would stay there again!
