Picked Jekyll Island Resort for a birthday treat at the start of a long road trip headed north. We were thrilled with our experience. We stayed at the Ocean Club but enjoyed activities all over the resort. We biked both days and they even had a small dog carrier to pull that held both our small pups. There is quite some history here and the grounds are magnificent. We took the north loop and made a stop at Driftwood Beach and the Tennis Center. /Rode about 15 miles on day 1. Will plan for tennis next time. We played croquet. We enjoyed the pool and experienced the beach. We LOVED our suite - so comfortable and designed with great attention to detail - even had a turtle light in the living room so not attract the turtles during season. The food at 80 Ocean was just excellent and we are foodies. Breakfast and dinner were sampled. Enjoyed the Pantry out on the veranda after biking as well. Dinner at The Wharf with music for the sunset rocked. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center was well done and the effort to save turtles commendable. Enjoyed hearing about the GA tides and turtles and water as it differs from S FL. We especially want to commend the staff as the service we received was friendly, helpful, given with pleasure almost to a person. Hotel's Favourite
I was here for a celebration of life for a friend, and it was the perfect place. So quiet, elegant, peaceful, and beautiful. I will come back again and bring my husband next time. The Pantry had great coffee choices, and delicious food also. I enjoyed being able to walk or bike everywhere on the property, and even to the shops in town.

Beautiful. So much history. Room could use more space for hanging garments and more mirrors. It was a bit challenging for us since we were at the hotel for a family member’s wedding weekend. We draped our suits across the chairs. Be careful with the shower because once turned on- the water shoots directly into the floor unless you strategically reposition the head of quickly close the door.

Hotel made charge errors. The bookkeeper would not return calls and the manager had to be contacted. The manager, Eric was very rude, even though he acknowledged their mistake. He does not follow-‘customer is always right’ protocol.

This past week was our annual family vacation at the Jekyll Island Club. My parents started this tradition in the 1980s. Over the years I’ve had my issues staying at the hotel but overall, it is truly one of the most beautiful and unique places to visit. To start, the hotel is full of different types of rooms and it is fun to explore and figure out what is best for you. If you want to see a particular room while there just ask the front desk and they will try to accommodate you. For my family, my mother and sister prefer the deluxe rooms in the Annex that have enclosed glass porches. My husband and I prefer the cottages, usually Sans Souci. The deluxe rooms are large with a shared porch and rocking chairs. We recently stayed in the Cherokee and absolutely loved the rooms. Our first room was a traditional king overlooking the river. While the room was small it had a beautiful spacious bathroom and plenty of closet space. We also stayed in a deluxe king and it was stunning - beautiful room layout, a private porch, high ceilings and a large bathroom. We have also stayed in suites and once in the presidential suite, which is amazing if you don’t mind the room rate. Regarding the food, you have a few options. We prefer The Wharf for dinner - terrific seafood and good drinks. For breakfast, we typically do the pantry. The wait for food can be frustrating. Outside of the property, The Driftwood Bistro is our favorite! For questions about your stay, the hotel and anything else, I recommend talking to Mike at the front desk and Sherry. My husband and I stayed at the Jekkyl Island Club for our anniversary. It is by far one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of my life. The island was quiet and historic. There were plenty of golf courses and bike trails to navigate for the outdoors person. And the Island Club itself had a wonderful pool, tennis, croquet and was in the historic district of the "Millionaire's Club." If you are a fan of the "Guilded Age" and the "Great Gatsby" this hotel is for you. More than just a place to sleep, it takes you back in time to the days of F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemmingway. Just amazing.

The entire staff of the Jekyll Island Club Resort were wonderful from my first exposure to the final departure. Their event staff team was helpful as we explored the options for our needs and helping set up the requested arrangements ahead of our stay. Everyone onsite at the resort was courteous, friendly and helpful every moment. The team at The Pantry, including Ponnie, Katie and Willy, took extra care of our team and always served us with a smile! I'm grateful to have visited the Jekyll Island Club Resort with my group and plan to do so again with my family!

Jekyll has become our favorite vacation spot and we love staying at the Jekyll Island Club. We remembered Mike from previous stays and it was nice to have a familiar and friendly face greet us at the front desk. The place is absolutely beautiful and we always have a relaxing stay when we visit.

We love the Jekyll Island Club. We came here when we were dating, we got married here, came the first time we found out we were having a little one and every time in between! One of the first things that makes it feel like home is getting to the front desk and seeing Mike smiling and ready to greet you with a smile and hug! He is always going above and beyond to make you feel known and like you are part of the Jekyll family- which is one of the reasons we love coming back! We enjoyed renting a cabana poolside this trip as well and nothing better than cruising around under the beautiful trees smelling the ocean air. Thank you for another great stay Mike and team!
