We were part of a group of 6 spending a week at the Indian Summer House after a hectic week travelling in India. The Indian Summer House is luxurious - a boutique hotel all to ourselves but with the relaxed feel of a home stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the gardens immaculate, it was a wonderful place to stay. During our stay Don arranged for us to have Bollywood dance lessons - probably over optimistic on our part but we had great fun and our teacher was very patient with us and moved us to tears when she explained and showed us a traditional dance - one of the highlights of our India trip. We went on a number of local excursions with Raj and Albin but also wandered around the friendly area on our own or by tuk tuk. Everybody we met was very friendly and on

I am so glad the Bollywood dance lessons went well. Ashwarya is very special and we are so pleased to have her as part of our team. I look forward to the all the stories from the locals next time I am in town. This is exactly what we wanted our guests to feel comfortable to do -just wonder the town and interact and get involved in local life. Kind regards Don and Mini

The Indian Summer House was a magnificent retreat in Kerala. You could do as little or as much a you liked. The friendly staff was welcoming and ready to assist with any questions or suggestions for activities. Raj,the chef, was fabulous, requesting our input for meals and accommodating with dishes that ranged from traditional, regional Indian food to western cuisine. The entire staff made you feel at home. It was one of the best vacations ever. Truly a spectacular place!!!

Where to begin…… From our gracious greeting to our sad but fond farewell Indian Summer House was heaven on earth. We were a group of 10 friends celebrating my wife’s 59th birthday. Minnie and Don, the owners, made everything so easy for us from the very beginning. They recommended activities, arranged tours and even had a pool side barbeque to celebrate my wife’s big day with a birthday cake to top it off. The party kicked-off with an interesting Kalari martial arts performance. We were welcomed with a delicious drink and jasmine flowered lei. Our host Don shared the history of the house and how the architecture related Kerala and the tropics. The house was beautifully designed in the Wijaya style with seating areas surrounding every suite. Each room was beautifully

From the moment you enter the property you are in heaven! We were greeted with a welcome drink and a flower lay. Beautiful tour of the property, every detail is perfect, every "I" dotted and "T" crossed, it is truly magnificent! You can experience as much or as little as you want on and off the property. We were fortunate to stay 5 nights. * Daily yoga and spa treatments available on the property. *Beautiful pool *3 beautiful meals a day prepared by Rajesh, excellent Chef!! *Tour to Fort Kochi *Tour to Munnar, miles and miles of beautiful tea plantations *Tea at a traditional Tea shop *Kalari matial arts display on the propery Just a few of the many highlights we experienced! I hope one day our travels bring us the Indian Summer House again, it truly was a little piece

Our recent stay at the Indian Summer House was excellent. It was a beautiful house with wonderful staff that weren’t intrusive at all. The chef, Rajesh, was wonderful - he liaised every day to see what we would like to eat & welcomed us into his kitchen to watch what he was doing. He was also more than happy to share his recipes. It was particularly great to watch him make parathas. Rajesh also took us to a local teahouse for afternoon tea which involved a canoe trip across the river, a walk through farming areas with various crops & yummy banana fritters, all well worth the effort. We did an excursion to a bird and wildlife sanctuary. The guide certainly knew his stuff and we saw lots of very beautiful birds, including one in the top 10 rare birds of the world. We also saw
