This hotel used to be my favorite since it was a Marriott brand for more than 10 years. Staffs are kind and helpful, always welcoming. However, the hotel isn't in the condition once was. Things are broken like the elevator, Everything about it is just plain old and not kept up. I feel very bad writing this, but I no longer stay at this hotel when I am up there.
Never heard of the chain, it's world wide. Like the staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Observed their interactions with guests I was impressed. The room was nice not noisy although the hotel was to capacity with a teen party booked. This is a great place for wedding they have ballrooms galore. I did not sample the restaurant they only open Monday to Wed. It did need some updates, stains on carpet, rooms have outdated carpet. Sink was stopped up a bit. They came promptly to fix. Little updates will go along way in keeping them competitive. It's close to a lot of restaurants and bars in area. Liked the lobby area it had charging stations. I was please with my stay, wished they had airport shuttle but ride apps are good. Pleasant stay ☺
Great! Comfortable beds and pillows and very clean and hospitable. Unbelievably quiet, never heard a neighboring room door close. Great, friendly and diligent staff. Only downfall- local transient Haitian family of 8 settled in the front lobby for 2 days. Observed one of the male family members riding up and down in the elevator at 0300 when departing for flight. This same group was seen at another hotel lobby days prior. Must be a chronic problem and behavior. Military discounts welcome.
We received not just service but Excellent service checking in. Quentin went the extra mile in accommodating our needs and provided us the rooms we needed. Quentin attention to detail and warm personality, patience really made our experience positive from the start. We were there 3 nights and 4 days. The staff were all friendly at the onsite restaurants. After breakfast make sure you go into The Art Bar. The food was good and the staff was pleasant and made sure we were had everything we needed. If you want to unwind then The Art Bar is spacious and you can sit back and relax. Bernice Parker and family thank you, for accommodating our Family Reunion.
After a 4 hour flight delay & an online reservation debacle, Taina Byrd & Lorreen Joseph at the Gwinnett Place location went above & beyond to make sure that my family & I were taken care of when we finally arrived. Been staying at the Sonesta and it has been a great experience. My room is always clean, and the location is perfect. Anything you need is right around the way. I have been helped on multiple occasions by Gene Burton, a front desk rep here and she has gone out of her way to assure my stay has been free of any worries. Stand out customer service, she is great. very much appreciated

Horrible experience I use to stay here often when it was Marriott. Sonesta has run this property in the ground. Pool was closed for maintenance on peak time Never opened AC didnt work. Was over 80 degrees in the room (see pic) Bathroom dirty with hair Hair in bed Black spots on sheets And to add insult to injury they stole from me. I left an item there and they claim they didnt see it. I know I left it bcuz I used it before I left there I spoke with manager and called 3 times. Still no help. Horrible You have been warned! Stay away
This was a horrible experience. I rarely take time to write reviews but others deserve to know. These are a few of the issues. There was only hot water in sink. The air didn't work. It was 77 when we woke up. The next day someone did come to repair. The TV didn't work. I was advised that they were working on the TV system. On the day of check out, there was no water in the hotel. Nobody reached out to advise that they were turning the water off. They turned off the water to the entire hotel without notice. We were not able to use shower or restroom or wash hands prior to checking out. When I expressed my concerns to front desk, they offered me a bottle of water. 5 years ago, this was a very nice place. It is now horrible. I will not be back.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Don’t know where to start. No hot water for showers. I have been here for 4 days with no one ever cleaning or even bringing new towels and wash rags. Had to go get my own towels and toilet paper. Bar closes at whatever time it feels like—never know the time. And on the last evening, I had some food delivered and needed silverware and no one could help me get any—front desk or anyone. I cannot find one good thing to say about this place. You should not waste your hard earned money here. Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!
