Stopped here on a cold night. Heat in the first room had an old broken mechanical thermostat and would not shut off. Once the room reached 80 degrees, went to the office to let them know about the failure. Was told someone from maintenance would come by and look at it. Said it was probably in need of resetting. It was an old motel unit with mechanical controls. Nothing to reset. Also all the switches by the sink/bathroom were wired properly. Had to flip three different switches just to get the bathroom light to come on. Looks like an electrical hazard. NO amenities like hair dryer, ironing board, iron, etc. Why are motels removing this stuff? Finally was offered another room. Heat did work properly. Again, messed up wiring on the switches at the sink, no amenities just like the other room, broken lamps and shades, TV not working properly. An awful experience that will never happen again. This is a large motel that was empty. Maybe two or three other guests. Looked like several rooms weren't even available for rent. FYI, checked out next morning and all of their printers were broken. Could not get a receipt. Promised to get one mailed. Never came. No more Econo Lodges for me. They are too run down and in need of major overhauling.

Dirty room, smelled like Marijuana. Drug deal going on next door, had to walk through the smell of Marijuana just to load my vehicle. I ended up checking out before I could get any sleep. Pool was green. Would not recommend.

Well this has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a long time.
The rooms are old. Old furniture, paint peeling, mold under sink, ceiling is water stained, tile in shower nasty looking, Refrigerator not working, No hair dryer. No clock.
Would not recommend nor will I stay again.

This place was so disgusting, that we refused to get a shower here, or flush the toilet without using toilet paper on the handle. The Georgia board of health needs to come in, and shut this place down. It’s “that” bad. DO NOT STAY HERE!
There was mold on the pillows..MOLD!! You can’t tell me they can’t see that, when and IF they change the bed linens. Something growing on the curtains, pubes and other hairs on the only TWO towels in the bathroom, a good 1/8 of an inch of dust and grime on the chair, (not exaggerating) filth all over the floors. It was apparent that they hadn’t been mopped or swept in QUITE some time!! The list goes on and on. Here are a few photos!!

The desk clerk was very friendly. After that the nightmare began. The desk clerk said there is an issue with the hot water mixing valve. You may have to let it rum or turn it off and on to get the hot water to work. Okay, a little quirky but time to get to bed. Got to room, every lamp shade was damaged, one wall lamp had no bulb but there was a bulb in the nightstand drawer. Tried to put it in but previous bulb base prevented that. Cleanliness to include floors and shower with visible mold, strike two. Turned on hot water for 10 minutes and got none. Strike three and beyond the general uncleanliness, a serious health hazard I would think. The positive, the friendly desk clerk did not even argue or offer a different room when I asked for a refund, it was immediately given which tells me this must be a common occurrence. Moved to the Quality Inn across the street (also a Choice Hotel) and the difference was night and day. Where the Econolodge looked like a murder could happen at any minute, the Quality was well lit, clean and everything in the room worked properly. Avoid the Econolodge Dublin, GA at all costs!!

This was our 1st stop on a long motorcycle trip & we truly just needed rest. There was a gentleman scrubbing the rug in the 1st room we were given, he apologized & said he'd call the desk while I walked back (we requested a room away from the road). When I got there, Brandi had new keys ready for a nearby room. Before I could walk away a young man called me back, I believe his name was Darsh, & told Brandi to give us a different room. We must have looked pretty beat because he gave a us a newly renovated king room with new wood style flooring. It was a gem & greatly appreciated. Their obviously going through some changes & working to upgrade. The area is what you expect near major roadways. They could definitely use some sprucing around the exterior & perhaps Grandma shouldn't be walking around in her swimsuit, but neither would deter us from staying again. Breakfast is all carbs but it's offered & gets a body going. Bed was so comfortable we actually overslept! Don't dis a bargain.

I gave it one star because I couldn't give less.
We are Choice Rewards members, so as we are coming into Dublin, Ga. I look up our choices. We have stayed with other Econo Lodges and have no complaints we went to this one. Huge mistake, going into lobby I see a man sitting in the lobby get up and walk behind the counter. I approach, phone in hand showing him price, he tells me they don't honor online price and theirs is $5.00 more. I decided to go ahead and get a room anyway, he seemed to have a hard time understanding I wanted a non smoking, king room for one night(I should have left then). We pay, go to room(234) and there is loud music coming from the room next door(236). I call desk and tell them, and ask for another room Derek the clerk who gave us the room answers the call. I hear Derek telling someone what's going on, then I hear a male voice say it's a GD hotel, tell them we can give them a smoking room on the other side of the building. We go back to the lobby, there is Derek and another male (name tag) Larry, whom when he hears we will go elsewhere pulls out his cell phone and turns on music and sits his phone down. We were given a refund and left. The music was a problem for us as it was after 10:00pm and we had been on the road for hours and were ready to settle down and relax. Also safety latch on the door was broken, so I would have asked for a different room for that reason.

The staff tried to be helpful but the room I was in had bedbugs in the mattress. There were conventions in town so there was no other lodging and no other rooms available. I reported this after the first night and they were supposed to spray but the second night was worse. When I got home, I had to go to urgent care and get a shot and two meds because they were infected. I wrote the manager and told him my experience and asked for some compensation. Had they tried to make things right, I would not be writing this review but I never got a response.

I'm only giving this location a 1, because there wasn't a minus 5 available!!! The pictures for the advertisement have to be for when they opened 50 years ago, because it DEFINITELY DOES NOT look like this now! It is run down, DIRTY and not well maintained at all!!! Only reason I stayed, was because I was wet, cold, tired and it was late!!! (Long motorcycle ride in the rain!)
I felt like I needed a tetanus shot for staying there! My room had half rolls of toilet paper left on the rolls, the towels had dirt stains on them (used my own in my bed roll) and trash was overflowing in the cans outside the room!!! Even South of the Border hotel was a serious upgrade compared to this econolodge and thats saying something!!!

There were only two things good about hotel. Brandy the day clerk and leaving. We arrived on Thursday, February 15th for one night. Brandy was very sweet but the good stopped there. The first room (108) was an ok room especially for Econo Lodge. The floor was hardwood which needed to be replaced because they were uneven. If it was used by a handicap individual, as it was marked, they could have easily tripped on the floor. Everything else was good until I turned back the sheets. they were dirty and had hair on them. I called Larry, the night clerk, and explained the situation. Larry made it sound as though it was our fault that we wanted to change rooms. He actually argued with me about nothing being available downstairs except doubles which were actually queens. He said he had only one other king room (234-see another review). We didn't want to be upstairs but whatever. When we walked in we should have left. Where at least 108 was clean but with a dirty bed this room was horrible. The carpet looked like it had never been cleaned, the wall was chipping off and the worst was the mold all over the bathroom tile. As mentioned in a November 2017 review there was no security lock on the door; it certainly should have been fixed between November and February. My husband nor I took a shower because we weren't sure it would be safe. The bed was clean but that was it. I went back to the office to get a key for 108 because we had left something in room. Larry gave me a key that didn't work. When I went back to the office for another key he said "well then just try this one". He was rude and looked as though he couldn't be disturbed because he was watching S.W.A.T. There was never any apologies for the problems we were have at the hotel. When we went to breakfast that wasn't much better. You would think they would have some cereal for adults instead of four cereals for children. Also, they could have provided some type of dairy like yogurt. We are members of Choice Rewards and should have been more careful before we booked, like reading the reviews here. We were just staying one night and paid less. The saying you "get what you pay for" didn't apply here because we "didn't even get what we paid for". DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! We certainly won't again. If you have to stay at Choice Hotels there is a Quality Inn across the street. There are other hotel brands. Thanks Brandy for at least making our arrival and departure nice.
