After 6 hours on the AT (Three Forks Trailhead), my friend and I easily arrived to our cozy cabin in the woods conveniently located right off the black top at Barefoot Hills Hotel. The staff were so friendly checking us in, showing us the amenities and to our cabin (standard suite). We picked a standard suite cabin because it has a bed, a pull out couch bed, microwave, coffee pot, and a good size refrigerator. The things I enjoyed the most about our night there: Great online nightly rate, the friendly and helpful front desk staff, happy hour prices on wine and beer, the comfortable fire pit ready with wood and lighter, the hammock outside our cabin, the table and chairs on our front porch for dining and morning coffee, great internet, the most comfortable bed, great bathroom and overall cleanliness and seemingly newness to everything down to the sheets and towels.…
Enjoyed an overnight stay with friends in the two bedroom cabin suite. Cabin was spacious, although only bathroom was upstairs but still accessible. They provided a gas and green egg grill, but were out of propane gas, and green egg had to be cleaned before use. Overall a nice, last minute trip.
I chose the deluxe room as I’d be roughing it after I left. Springer mountain the next night in a crazy storm. Nice large room and they left me a bag of breakfast goodies for the next morning. I recommend. Service very friendly too.
Check in was pleasant and easy. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. We stayed in the 2 bedroom lodge suite. It was very spacious, clean and gorgeous. The sunsets off the back porch are very relaxing and beautiful.
Barefoot Hills was a welcome breather for us during a busy time: mountain views, beautiful accommodations (we stayed in the King Cabin), helpful and attentive staff. It was close to Dehlonega, but far enough away from town to feel like we were in the country. I would love to come again!
