Kids club, which is really a full kids camp is excellent. Very professional and caring staff. Lots of sports and activities for parents to do while the kids are at kids club. We plan to stay a the resort again in the future.

Hotel's Favourite
I just returned from Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida. We were a multigenerational group of 11 and had a marvelous time. It is definitely not an upscale resort but for a fun, family, all-inclusive resort in the US it was great for us. Pros: Fantastic kids programs for all ages. Wonderful teams of enthusiastic young people to lead water sports, trapeze, exercise programs, reception and kids programs. I’ve never interacted with a nicer group of resort activity leaders. Small property was easy to navigate. We felt comfortable letting our 11 year olds roam free. Adult only dining room and pool. On a river, that felt like a lake, that made water sports—paddle boarding, kayaking and hobie cat sailing—easy and safe. River was big enough for motorized water sports—water skiing, tubing, fishing, etc. Buffet food was surprisingly good and varied. Lots of gluten free dishes and special diets were accommodated. Trapeze was a hit with many including my kids and grandkids. There was a kiddie pool with sunshades plus a splash area for young ones. Fun evening entertainment. No single supplement. Golf and tennis pros onsite. There were lots of pool cabanas and pool lounges plus large couches around the beach. Cons: Main pool was crowded. My family moved to the lap pool and it was like a private pool. Dining room was very noisy because of so many small children. Rooms were quite roomy but not luxurious. Family rooms with a separate kids room and half bath was a plus with my kids. Buildings and landscaping were a little neglected and could use a refresh. Our balcony door was stuck so we never used the balcony.

I stayed at Sandpiper Bay for the start of January with my family. The resort was lovely and the service was great. They had many fun activities and we will definitely go back. Many of the staff members were great including Jessica, Mariana, and many others. I can’t wait to plan another trip there again. :)

My wife, son and I visited in October - first visit as a family. We chose it because it is in the continental US, has a wide range of sports and activities options, and fantastic programming for kids. Our son had an amazing time, made friends, and enjoyed trying the trapeze, kayaking, tennis, pools and the food. I had the time of my life playing tennis - Gino and Rasheed are amazing coaches and know how to combine fun, laughs and serious instruction. If you like playing tennis and want proper instruction on ways to improve, I highly recommend the "Active Program" - I did it twice and learned a pile of little things that have helped me play better tennis. Rasheed coached me through several little fixes with footwork, reading the ball, and adding more top spin. We even did a family lesson with Gino - super fun! And while I'm not a morning person, Gino made morning tennis clinics something I looked forward to. The adult pool, cocktails, and morning yoga definitely helped us relax and unwind. The bar staff are excellent, creative, and friendly, making "Slice Bar" a great spot to watch the game, or meet up with others before dinner. The quality of food is high if somewhat unimaginative. Kudos to the "Roast/Carvery" station - the best food station in my view... although the bread station comes a very close second. One sore spot - too many limitations on seating during mealtimes something the dining room manager appears oblivious about. Still, on the whole, a great spot for a carefree family vacation, in a pretty location on a well maintained all-inclusive resort - we're looking forward to visiting again.

My family has been coming to Sandpiper at least once per year for the past two decades, beginning in 2000 when I was 5! Clearly, there are many reasons we keep coming back. Each trip is unique in its own way but reliably ends in exhaustion from non-stop sports and activities, friendships new and old with diverse individuals, and a terrible case of what I like to call Post Club Med Depression. First, Sandpiper is truly outstanding when it comes to managing food allergies. I have anaphylaxis allergies to several foods and have never been to such an accommodating place- one of the chief reasons we return year after year. All the food in the main restaurant is now labeled with top allergens. Furthermore, the chefs are some of the kindest people I have ever encountered in my life. They are always happy to get food from the back and make me special meals that I look forward to all year. In no particular order, thank you to: Nin- makes the most amazing fish I have ever tasted or seen. He is extremely hardworking, careful, and plates everything absolutely beautifully! Calvin- the “hidden gem” of Sandpiper Bay is always my dinnertime hero. He is a skilled communicator, always relaying my allergies to the rest of the team! Victor- has been taking care of me for years and created one of my favorite meals in the world, sweet chili chicken. He always makes me feel at home! Daniel- treats me like a daughter, gives the best hugs, and makes creative salads that deserve to be featured in magazines! Raul- is newer to Sandpiper and such a great addition! He is such a pleasure to talk to, always smiling and calm (even during a crazy sign flash mob during the holidays), and super helpful! On the topic of food and drink, special shoutout to Chris at the bar! He took special care to avoid cross-contact by not mixing my drinks in the shaker and went out of his way to get cherries in the back. Food allergies aside, his mixology skills are excellent! Everyone in my family independently rated Chris as the best bartender based on both cocktails and kindness. Be sure to ask for a drink from his special line of fabric-inspired cocktails. My favorite was the suede! Kai at the bar was also very nice and makes a refreshing watermelon spritz! Agnes brought the perfect combination of professionalism and fun to our vacation. When there was a problem with our room, she handles it gracefully and quickly found a solution. She is delightful to talk to and makes a great Lady Gaga in Music Factory! Michael and John were very easy to talk to and truly a pleasure to spend time with throughout the week! My mom especially enjoyed the power walk each morning. Gino makes tennis so much fun, regardless of level. While I only play tennis in Club Med, he encouraged me to “be a tiger, not a chicken” and come to the tournaments- which I then played in every single day! Both the lessons and tournaments are great ways to meet people of all backgrounds! While I was unable to do trapeze this trip due to an injury, it was great to see Billy and Chelsea! The new indoor circus show is excellent!!! Special shoutouts also to Big Dan (best person ever) and Angie, who we were so glad to finally get to know after many years of seeing her drive around the luggage! Marinou was also very kind- wish we had gotten to know her earlier in the week! Last, my family LOVED having Teddy as chief! I never recall a chief being so present throughout the resort, whether its shaking hands with everyone at tennis each morning, greeting everyone outside the Marketplace at every meal, hanging out at the bar every night, hosting the gold cocktail at this house, and playing a lead role in nearly every show- including the gag act in the flying trapeze show! In addition to being physically present, though, Teddy always engages in conversation and seems like he has all the time in the world to make guests happy- even though he must have a million things to do! He acts very professionally, yet I have never seen him without a huge smile! A few small suggestions -I was disappointed that there were no frozen margaritas (my fav!) or mango drinks. Please bring back the 4 frozen drink machines that have been in place since the renovation, instead of just the 2! -More crazy signs!!! At both the pool and post-show -More shows- the shows have dwindled over the last several years (e.g., casino night used to be an after-show activity but is now the main entertainment, same with trapeze show, and years ago mini club show used to the pre-main show entertainment) Already trying to plan my next trip! Thank you to everyone mentioned for another very happy week :)

13 year old boy
My grandson found a boy his age who also liked to play digital games. There is a small inside area for this. There were also some pool games in both adult pools. Depends on how outgoing the 13 year old is.

Yes, there are plenty of activities to do with your young children. There are arts and crafts to make, pools to play in, games to play, and there is also a small beach with kayaks, paddle boards and sail boats that you can take them on. I highly recommend Club Med for families of all kind, including those with young children.
