We stayed at the Marriott Pompano Beach Resort in late June. I realize that other reviews stated that the rooms were dated but our room looked up to date except for the sofa, which was in fact very worn. The rest of the resort looked up to date as well and in good condition. We stayed in a basic king size balcony room. It was spacious and had a great view of the ocean from the balcony. The view was from the side of the property but had two chairs and a table on the balcony where you could sit and see the beach. The housekeeping service was excellent- they mopped the tile entrance and bathroom tile everyday and always replenished any items used during our stay.
We are "beach/ocean" people and were very impressed with the clean beach and clear water. There was no seaweed on the shore or in the water while we were there. I would suggest bringing reef shoes for the water because there are large coral rocks spread out underneath the water. We were told it is from storms breaking off pieces from the reef. When the water is clear you can walk around them easily but otherwise, it would be easy to step on one as they are under about 3-4 feet of water. The resort includes two beach chairs as part of their resort fee but they do not include an umbrella. Umbrella rental is $25.00 per day. The beach chairs are supportive even though they do look very worn. Years ago, this resort used to have high end padded beach chairs but not anymore. The Marriott still provides food and drink service on the beach which is a very convenient service. The waiter on the beach, Miguel, gave us really good service. Alcoholic drinks run between $14-$16 a piece. We each ordered Mahi sandwiches for lunch which included fries and was $21.00 each. The fish was very fresh but the size of the filet was pretty small for the price.
This Marriott offers a nice package deal if you are a AAA member. It offers you free valet service (normally a $35.00 charge per night) and a free buffet breakfast for two (normally a $50.00 charge per person). The buffet looks small but actually offers a good variety of choices and you can order eggs and omelets cooked to order from the wait staff. The service in the restaurant and at the valet was excellent.
The hotel website said that the pools and hot tub were closed due to renovations, but the two pools were open when we arrived. The hot tub was still closed. This property has astroturf underneath the lounge chairs, which is a nice touch. There were plenty of available chairs and umbrellas at the pool and the bar/restaurant and towel service was close by.
This property has the feel of a boutique hotel, which we enjoyed and never felt too crowded even though they were sold out while we were there.

Booked this in the fall and did not realize it was under extensive renovation. Got an email from the manager about 5 days out telling us the pool and restaurant are closed, etc. I tried to move next door to the Residence Inn, but the prices were then too high.

Let me say I have no doubt the newly-redone hotel will be awesome. But it is NOT at all awesome at this time and we're staying elsewhere when in the area next month.

Note if you have been here before you will know what I'm talking about: The lobby is closed and the check-in desk is in a smaller area. The restaurant seating is in a hallway by the ballrooms. The pools are being redone (looks like it will be one large pool) and not sure where the hot tub will be. You walk through plastic and on boards, around fences, to get to the beach. It is not attractive. The north tower is closed and almost completed in its renovation (which was needed!) so only rooms in the south tower are open to guests. Our room looked dated with my grandmother's 70s-style carpeting, old and chipped deck furniture, the shower left a river that flowed under the bathroom door into the hallway and made the floor slippery. The bottom of the very difficult-to-maneuver wooden bathroom door was already rotted and I'm guessing this shower has leaked for years. We used many towels to keep the area dry after a shower. Not all buttons on the safe worked. The bicycles you can use for 2 hours are not in good condition. The usual fabulous breakfast buffet was a tiny fraction of the usual offerings, although you could order off the menu too. We skipped it. Also, I thought pets were not allowed, yet a person carried their little dog around with them and into their room. We seemed to have constant internet connection problems, and we heard other guests saying the same thing. Even trying to set up Uber was difficult unless I walked far away from the building outside.

The bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Marriott: please let us self-park and not use mandatory $34 daily valet.

I will say that most employees were warm and friendly, except the beach attendant was rather abrupt with us when we did not "check in" with him first before sitting on a beach chair. Didn’t realize we needed to do this.

I have loved staying at this hotel in the past, but we are staying away until it is finished with its renovations, which I don't see being completed before summer.

Check your bill; I had to call to get a charge adjusted.

Our family recently stayed at the Marriott Resort Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach, and it was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, and the experience felt personalized and thoughtful.

Check-in was a breeze, thanks to Arda, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was flawless. This trip was a surprise birthday celebration from my husband, and Arda made it truly unforgettable. He arranged for us to stay in a beautiful, spacious room with the best view of the ocean. The surprise didn’t end there, I was delighted to find a special welcome of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a variety of snacks waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel celebrated and valued as guests.

Our dining experience was equally fantastic. We opted for in-room dining, and the food exceeded our expectations—fresh, flavorful, and delivered promptly. What stood out most was how accommodating the team was to our one-year-old son. They thoughtfully adjusted the menu to suit his needs, ensuring everyone in our family felt cared for.

The room itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly spacious, providing the perfect haven for our little family. The attention to detail was evident everywhere, from the crisp linens to the perfectly folded towels. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work.

Special kudos to Arda for his genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and for ensuring our stay was not just enjoyable but memorable. He truly exemplifies the gold standard of guest service and made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay.

We left feeling refreshed, pampered, and with memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a place that offers stunning views, outstanding service, and thoughtful touches, look no further than the Marriott Resort Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach. We can’t wait to return!

Living in Florida, we always have family and friends coming to visit year-round, we always try to treat them with few days of beach front hotels, we have elite memberships of Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott from traveling for work, in the meantime we stock up some hotel points that we can treat our family and friends. Out of all the hotels we have stayed in, we feel that the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa is the best of value! Besides the great location, they treat the loyal members really nice, we always got the room upgrade when it's available, some hotels would tell you that they were sold out when you still saw there were plenty of suites available on the website, not here. Also, the Platinum members get free breakfast for two, we had been to another Marriot that gave $10 credit for TWO (might as well just say they don't honor it). The resort fees and parking fees are fair here, it would be wayyyyyy more if you stay at Ft. Lauderdale beach or Miami beach. All the staff members were friendly and always with smiles, shout out to Emma and Nichole from the front desk, they really made us feel appreciated as loyal members, and all staff at the restaurant from breakfast to dinner went above and beyond to take care of us, every day we came back from the beach, the rooms were cleaned. The rooms are good size, the beds are comfy (including the sofa bed:)), when we asked for bedding for the sofa bed it was delivered right away, the service was impeccable! So, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa will be our #1 choice for family visits and staycations, we can't wait to go back!!!

The Marriott Pompano Beach is a beautiful Beach Resort located directly at the ocean front. The area is save for evening excursions, there are some small shops and restaurants around.
The room was spacious and clean, typical Marriott interior. There is a bit of street noice from the H-1 passing the front of the hotel, but with sound proof windows you hear nothing in the room and sleep was perfect. The staff was friendly and very helpful for all our requests.
Please be aware that Valet Parking is mandatory for a daily fee of USD30+tax. They provide an app for the valet service which is very convenient for ordering your car.
During our stay in JAN 2025 the pool was under construction, the expected finalization was expected for June 2025. Please check before booking if the usage of the pool is essential for you. As the resort is directly on the beach front, we used the beach service with sunbeams and umbrellas which worked very well for us, so the missing pool was no downside for us.

Four Star facility with 2 Star service. No room maid service on alternate days, you are told at check-in but not when making your reservation. "free" WiFi requires all but your birth certificate to register for this service. Sorry, I don't like to give my credit card info for a "free" service. If you are a female under 115 lbs bring help to open the heavy room doors. Paper plates & plastic utensils are classy for breakfast. Switched light at the room entry but bring a flashlight to find a way to light the room. Parking hang tags make you unlikely to invite a visitor whose car may be towed. Management's experience most likely was at a motel.

This property is going through major renovations which have significantly impaired the quality and value of these expensive rates.
This property recently went through an ownership transition while it was still in this construction phase. The property feels like a budget motel.
Breakfast included a 25 minute wait to dine in a cramped temporary room that is very loud. The buffet is limited and ordering off the menu is a 15-20 minute wait.
Our rooms had a filthy balcony including the glass.
No spa services or pool which is a disclaimer on their web page, and a fitness center that has antiquated equipment.
I can go on with a list of other issues, but will defer at this time.
I will note the employees at this property work very hard at trying to help the customer however it is evident there is nominal assistance from leadership in supporting their hard work and efforts.
I have over 1000 nights of Marriott property stays and suggest looking at other options as you will be disappointed with your experience here especially with the rates they are charging.

I have to start off by saying the staff at the hotel are wonderful. wanted to compliment Arda at the front desk he is a gem as well as Nicole and Shirley at the pool just to name a few. Smiles on their face and very courteous and professional. I myself am an executive in the client service business for 20+ years for a Fortune 500 company and know how difficult it is to run a high traffic client pleasing business. The location is great, right on the water, nice pool and offers beach chairs on the really nice beach. close to good restaurants, a lighthouse and a pier. The one thing I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with is the cleanliness of this hotel. I really thought Marriott which we stay at when we vacation usually has high standards but I mean quite unacceptable at this location specially paying 500 bux a night. I am 30 weeks pregnant and was cleaning the bathroom floor myself because it was so dirty. I have attached pictures below. Room ceilings were peeling off, bathroom floor was filthy, carpets filthy where when you walk on it you get dirt residue on your feet. High traffic areas like in the elevator and right in front of them was so dirty, coffee spilled stained were there for days plus dirt from people walking in and out from outside. I just don’t understand how no one would address this? Don’t they have a room service manager that should be checking this? When we got our room serviced all they did was change the sheets and provide new towels. They did not give me toilet paper when we were low, they did not replenish the lotion. They didn’t wipe down the counters. They didn’t empty out the water in the ice tray to leave me a new one to refill didn’t even vacuum the floors just so unacceptable. Their beds are also not comfortable and definitely not plush. We felt the springs and seemed like they were old mattresses. I would have easily given a 5 star review if there wasn’t this cleanliness issue. Also what’s even more disappointing is that accommodations weren’t available because they were sold out and no one is willing to compensate for this inconvenience. I will be writing a formal complaint just about the cleanliness to Marriott corporate. When I asked to speak to a manager they weren’t available and was given a card to contact. I honestly didn’t want to take time away from my family to address this as we really needed this relaxing time but couldn’t not post about it especially if families are looking to come here.

Let me say #1 the staff is wonderful. They are very polite, nice and helpful. They deserve a better hotel than this. It's very tired with rips in chairs and dirty carpet. There is no bellman so taking your own luggage up on a cart smells of Marriott Courtyard. The elevators are so small the cart barely fit with my husband. I had to ride separately when he sent the elevator back down. The hotel is VERY noisy. The guestroom doors stick so everyone is giving it a shoulder to open or close. I wouldn't call this a spa. No steam, sauna or a robe. I was showed into a room and told I could put my clothes on the chair.

We found this Marriott to be most pleasant to stay at. The staff was extremely friendly, and any issues were immediately taken care of.
Nicole at the front desk was available to give you a hand with recommendations for local restaurants, beauty salons and sites to see.
Monica at the And Fish restaurant was attentive and pleasant every morning at breakfast.
While Sheila - the pool attendant made sure the towels were out bright and early ( 7 - 7:30 am) beating the beach guys who set up the chairs and umbrellas at around 8 am

Not really much in less than a mile walk. We ate at a couple hotels over at the Seaside Grill. It was really good for seafood! We used the Circuit Ride service to go down towards the pier area. We loved Flanigans which is by the bridge & Publix. Also some good spots across from Flanigans…. We didn’t even eat at the hotel restaurant other than an afternoon appetizer.
