We have been to most of the major Marriott/Vistana resorts over the past 20 or so years: we had high expectations. Here is what we discovered: 1) This has to be one of the smallest if the the smallest Marriott Vacation resorts and we were nervous about what that would mean. 2) It is not ocean front, and you definitely need a car. 3) It is a lovely beach town, however and the resort setting is stunning. We have NEVER paid attention to any of the "activities"at any of the resorts we have visited. Oh sure, our grandkids did - but while every resort had them, they never looked timely or relevant. It is clear however, that this resort has spent a ton of time on making the activities a great feature - and not just for adults or even older adults like us. This activities staff orchestrated with expertise and efficiency a full suite of activities. It was even better than some cruises we went on. A Labor Day picnic, wine tasting, great DJ,... Fun time - thanks! …

Well I am going to be honest, Marriott is questionable and suspicious, they jammed my phone while I was at their building, and fyi Marriott is a vacation club and owns about 12000 hotels, cruises, and more, but that’s just 12000 lies, because when they were telling me about Marriott, they had my phone jammed to prevent me from researching, and as soon as I left the building, the deal was off, now don’t you think that’s a little suspicious, and fyi they have a HORRIBLE point system, they said it is inflation proof but using points is a bad idea, you can spend less with normal USD, the points are a scam, because they aren’t inflation proof even though Marriott says they are, it slowly costs more and more to get points, which means, you shouldn’t use them because of that, it’s not worth it, and all their membership things don’t really help, you still get crappy customer service, oh and also Marriott cannot be trusted, I already found cockroaches in the hotel I’m in, there are cockroaches at the pool. DO NOT TRUST MARRIOTT!…

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was off the main path so it was quiet and relaxing but close enough to stores and shops. Definitely need a car. We golfed at the Bay Point Golf Nicklaus course. We rented clubs and we could have walked there but we drove. The course was HARD but we did have a great time. The Legends edge staff was very nice and helpful. The villas were clean and we had a great view!!! It is small but they have a lot to do for a peaceful stay.

We forgot about 1 hour time change here and arrived at 12:20 for check in. Danielle at Front Desk went the distance and got us checked in quickly in the newly renovated section with wonderful view from lanai of golf course and views of bays on second floor!! Room had 2BR, 2 full baths, full kitchen, dining room, and living room with 3 48 inch TV's. All IMMACULATE and beds super comfortable! Huge pool and biggest Jacuzzi I have ever seen! Plenty of pool furniture and shady areas as it was HOT! Very friendly and reasonable pool bar with Happy Hour 3 to 6. Debbie at Concierge Desk very helpful and gave us bottle of Italian red wine for our Anniversary! The gym was very good too.

We returned to Bay Point with three generations in one villa. It was enough space for us and everything was clean. The kitchen is well appointed and allows you to prepare meals easily. This is not a partying, wild Spring Break type of facility. It’s the families swimming and playing games/watching movies together vibe. At night the pool area closes and they clear the deck. It is typically quiet at night- no blaring music or honking horns. It is NOT directly on a beach, but St. Andrew State Park is not far (5-8 minutes away) and affordable for beautiful beach access. There is also free public beach access down Front Beach Road. There are restaurants available nearby, and more opening soon! I would NOT visit Bay Point without a mode of personal transportation. You can use the nearby BlueGreen Hotel’s restaurants but the area has many delicious offerings just off property. If you want relaxation and pretty sunsets you will enjoy this area. We arrived after check in so our room was ready, took our luggage up to the room. The room was very nice only have 2 bedrooms they don’t have 1 bedroom units they should have kept the Blue Green Resort next door. Again, lots of room for two people, the bedrooms are nice size the beds are ok we have slept in more comfortable ones at other Marriott Resorts. Both bathrooms have lots of room master shower is large no tub there is a tub shower combo in the second bedroom. There are two doors to the patio one in the master and the other in the family room, the patio is screened and over looks the pool, golf course and the Grand Lagoon. No, there is no beach at the resort. The pool has a beach style walk in great for younger kids to play in, there is a hot tub also but it was very dirty. The pool guy didn’t start cleaning the pool until after they were open he said it was the winds fault They call it a pool bar but they do not serve liquor, you can only get beer , wine and 2-3 mix drinks in a can. They do have a few different chips. One day they had pizza’s you could order pick them up and cook them in your unit and they do have the little shop in the check in building with a few items. ********There is NO restaurant here******** Overall, I don’t think we will be back to this resort for any long stays. You have to drive to a beach, there’s no restaurant within walking distance and there no liquor at the bar. There are a few really good restaurants 10 min away.…

Nice hotel and a great value. We booked a two bedroom and two bath suite that was terrific and very reasonable priced. Good location on the peninsula and walking distance to the South Pointe Marina. Nice pool and friendly staff.

The villas are beautiful and fully equipped with full kitchens and washer/dryer. There are grills to cook your own food. The pool is nice and wasn’t crowded. We thought all of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The property is surrounded by golf courses, which adds to its beauty. However this location doesn’t have a restaurant and the beach bar is strictly beer and wine-no mixed or frozen drinks. It is also about a 10-15 minute drive to the beach. There is a Publix about 2 miles away. So if you want to cook your own food or your okay with driving to restaurants you will really enjoy this location. You can walk to Bayside which is two buildings away. They have restaurants and full bars.

Our room was a two bedroom with living room and kitchen. The view from the balcony allowed us to see the bay and the boats traveling by. The pool and sun deck was beautiful and spacious, with plenty of ‘toys’ to play with. It had a cozy bar that served small bites. Great experience from a convenient location!

I have stayed here several times (at least six, but maybe, more). I have NEVER been disappointed! The staff is so friendly. Rooms are spotless...thank you housekeeping! Pool service, daily food and drink specials, gym, theater, free movie rentals...all excellent and the employees are super friendly. There is no "restaurant" on site, but the daily grill food specials vary, and you can reserve a meal for pickup. BBQ grills are clean, and you can cook your favorite foods. The pools are exceptionally clean. There is an outdoor firepit where you can sit and sip. A lot of activities for the kiddies. Modern, updated rooms with a lot of amenities. I have stayed here so often that I really noticed the attention to details. Staff are second to none. I highly recommend a stay here, but book way in advance...and don't take my room because I WILL be back!…
