Stayed here 11/17/2023 due to our distance from home to the Surgery Center(2.5 hours)for my grandson's(8 Y.O.) oral surgery the following day. Great room, Alicia, the front desk clerk was very accommodating to my grandson's request to be (up high-3rd floor). Very clean room, well appointed and comfortable. Fast forward to surgery day---my grandson appt is at 2:30pm, he is not even taken back till 3:33pm!!! By the time the surgery and recovery was over we closed the place at 6pm!!! Needless to say we weren't going to drive home with him in the shape he was in for 2.5 more hours!! Went back to this hotel and fortunately Alicia was on duty again at the check-in desk. Frantic I had not had time to make a reservation, she assured me she would fix us up and did so at a great rate for a last minute arrival. We rested well in a 1st floor room easily accessible to our vehicle and the breakfast dining area which served a fantastic breakfast BOTH days. We will be returning to this hotel should we visit Panama City again. Bravo Alicia for your great customer service !!!…

I stayed at this location multiple times while in Panama City. The stay was always very convenient, and the staff very helpful. In particular, Maricel at the front desk was the friendliest, and always had everything ready promptly.

I was very hesitant about staying at another TPS after my experience at the one in Gainesville. This hotel is the exact opposite of the one in Gainesville, and I’m really glad I stayed here. At the time I stayed, my future father in law had planned surgery at a local hospital. I thought he would be getting out the same day, so I reserved a room with two separate bedrooms. Due to a situation beyond my control, Dad had to spend the night in the hospital, leaving Sarah and I in this large room by ourselves. The next morning, after finding out Dad was okay and coming home, we asked if we could extend the room one more night. Marisol at the front desk assured me this was not a problem. And it wasn’t a problem. Any issues we had were promptly addressed, the staff was friendly as can be, taking time to chat with my family and I, everything worked the way it was supposed to, and the location is next door to a Target. (Sadly, my future father in law passed away two days after we checked out, and when I called the front desk to ask them what I should do with the room key I accidentally kept, I told them what had happened with Dad, and they were very saddened to hear the news and offered their deepest condolences.) One word of advice for people using GPS to find the hotel: GPS will take you to the parking lot of the Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is directly behind the Courtyard. Clean, comfortable and at a great price. On top of that, the AC blasted cold air which is important for our sleeping! Good breakfast and Maricel at the front desk was extremely cheerful. Highly reccomend!

Marcella was very nice and welcoming to me. The whole staff is wonderful and pleasant. Burdo and Akpan brought me here from a difficult situation. Marcella was working the front desk and made me feel very welcome. I have stayed here four different nights and I would do it all over again.

I LOVE staying here!! The front desk staff is so friendly and kind!! Especially Marsielle!! I'm sure I didn't spell her name correctly lol!! I stay there so much the fd staff knows me by name, such a kind touch! Is an older hotel but the beds are very comfortable and the room is always very clean. Great on the go breakfast with a super sweet breakfast attendant. I could stay other places but this place feels like home to me. Comfy and quiet!

Was upgraded to a suite which was awesome, but there was never any maintenance outside. The pool was filthy - not even usable, debris everywhere around the outside. They put 3 tables by the grill around the pool and made this the smoking area!! Are you kidding me? who wants to sit by the pool where all the smoking is going on. Several entrances the key reader was broken and customers were pulling the walk off mats to block the door open which makes it difficult to get your bags over the rugs and is totally not safe at night. What is the point of having readers at all?? Was told by another customer they asked for 3 weeks to fix the reader and it was never done. The stove in the room was filthy in the pans under the burner and when the stove top was used it made smoke all over the kitchen, the dishwasher when the racks were pulled over was not screwed into the counter and it had to be held onto so it did not fall out onto the floor. Stains on furniture in living area. So sad as I am a Marriott Platinum Elite and will not be staying here again.…

Dear ds773OQT, For myself and the entire team here at Towneplace Suites Panama City sincerely apologizes for falling short not just yours but our expectation as well. The area around the grill with table and chairs is a Non-smoking area for our guest to enjoy grilling if they wish we tend to have guest to ignore the Non-smoking signs posted on the walls. You have pointed out some very valuable concerns the hotel have at this time. But, I can assure you we are working on getting back to the standards that is expected. I have shared your concerns in our everyday huddle meeting and with department heads to make sure we are taking care of every guest everyday . I suggest researching this place! Go in and listen to the profanity at around 8 am from housekeeping. My family and my business has used Marriot for a number of years. One housekeeper in general. She’s a younger lady that has no respect for long term patrons. I have witnessed and heard her on a number of occasions yelling and cursing loudly, using the F word. I have a 13 year old daughter that is scarred of her because of her attitude and vulgar mouth. We are NEVER staying there again.

Thank you for your review. Your review is very concerning; however, as stated on other platforms that you've posted on, I would like more information to look into this more closely. There are 2 Towneplace Suites locations within Panama City-ours located at 903 E. 23rd Place, and one in Panama City Beach, located across from Pier Park. No member of our management team was ever made aware of an associate using profanity and our housekeepers don't start at 8AM, so we would like to make sure that it is not our location. Very friendly and accommodating front desk reception staff. Over-the-top breakfast, coffee was delicious, omelets, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit were fresh. Clean everything, extra pillows and blankets and the pool and fire pit lend for a inviting and relaxing environment to recharge.

This is a very nice, clean and modern property at reasonable rates close to the Panama City Pier Park. Family friendly and good for a shorter stay. Probably not for longer than a few days. The only glitch when we stayed was that the Marriott Food Truck, which delivers supplies, was several days late in bringing the milk for breakfast. Hence no reasonable cereal options for the kids. Explain that to the little ones! After asking the Front Desk Manager, I was informed that Corporate Marriott wouldn't allow them to outsource milk from the grocery store, as it must be packaged in small containers. Fair enough, but the regional corporate manager should have done better at this situation. I'd like to commend some staff at the hotel, including Shena in housekeeping, who is trying her best to make sure everything is in order. Really a sweet lady and very friendly. Thank you Shena! Day time Desk Manager was clear about Marriott corporate policies regarding food delivery and told me she had ordered Thursday. Today is Saturday morning at 10:00am and still no food supplies. Not a big deal, just enough of a niggle to bug me. And Cody at the Front Desk was helpful and I wish him success. Great job, Cody! Also, another housekeeping person knocked and didn't even try to speak English and explain what he wanted. Fortunately, I speak Spanish but found that inability to communicate properly a rather weak link in management. Maybe it's just the time of "not enough help" all around. All in all, a good property and I highly recommend.…
