We booked our stay on reward points as my father is a globalist and we were excited for our stay cation and all the amenities the resort had to offer. We are Floridans ourselves and know that any lake/body of water is almost beyond likely to have gators/snakes present. We decided to get on the bike one morning out on the lake and saw an 8 footer, we immediately turned around and headed back towards the dock to inform the attendant and they laughed and said “it’s Florida”. There needs to be better control/safety features on this property before a major incident takes place as these types of situations can and will become very dangerous. The resort is very understaffed due to the national staff shortage which is understandable but before embarking on our water adventure we were told to jokingly sign a waiver for the lake and the attendant stated “I know it’s for the rock wall but it’ll work”… we signed this waiver and if anything would’ve happened to us while on the lake activity that waiver would not have covered the resorts butt as it was for rock climbing and not the water activities. The pool water was freezing cold and there wasn’t a great selection of food during our stay. We asked for an extended checkout with the globalist account so we could enjoy the theme parks and come back to shower and we’re also denied in a rude manner. I am asking for at least 1 night of points to be refunded due to this experience we had.

We met family at this Hyatt in Orlando for a few days. The hotel grounds seem to be taken better care of than the indoors. We pulled out our coffee maker and when I opened the top where the coffee goes it had what looked like dead bugs or potpourri. I took a photo and carried it down to the front desk and showed it to them so they’d know it was that way when I got there. They seemed fairly unconcerned. Said they would send someone with another coffee maker. Needless to say, we went down and bought Starbucks every day. The coffee in the rooms is listed as one of the items you get for the resort fees they charge. You’d think they would’ve taken at least one days charge off our bill. The other issue we had was valet. We called down for our car and still had to wait 20 minutes. Come to find out there wasn’t anyone on duty that knew how to drive a 6 speed. Also the nice outdoor seating area outside of the lobby was always too dirty to use. The pool and water features were all very nice

One of the best place I have stayed at. Beautiful overall with great entrance & lobby atmosphere to the friendly staff greeting you & explaining everything. The room was on seventh floor with 2 balconies. The view was breathtaking of the lake. Very comfortable bed with clean bathroom. Brand new flat screen TV. A fridge is available & star bucks coffee. Only thing not crazy about is the shared sliding door between bathroom & closet sometimes not convenient with more than one person in the room. The pool with the waterfalls was amazing with clean warm water & gorgeous views everywhere you look. So many things to do on property from golf to putting to wall climbing, small canoes & a large track. I checked the conference side and think it is perfect for conventions & occasions. Tried both foods from Pool grill & The lake house restaurant very delicious. I would definitely come back here.

This hotel has everything to keep a 13 year old boy entertained for hours and grand parents exhausted! It is the absolute best for all day activities from a rock wall to climb to kayaks to row to putt putt play to bikes to pedal to a scavenger hunt to find. With waterfalls galore and a multi pool layout you can swim all day and enjoy a water slide too. This hotel was more fun, less lines and less stressful than local amusement parks. In retrospect we should have spent more time at the hotel and we look forward to returning in the future. David our waiter at Lakehouse was delightful. He has been with the hotel since it opened and really knows how to make customers feel special. Grand Cypress made for a very special vacation for our entire family. Our executive suite was ideal with beautiful views.

We truly loved our experience at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. It was our first time. We are a multi-generational family who visited in June during the week. When we arrived on Sunday the pool at mildly crowded but the rest of the week it was mostly empty. There were storms late afternoon that closed the pools each day but we still had plenty of swim time. We loved all the boating activities and most of the employees were exceptional and willing to go out of their way to help. The property is gorgeous with all of the waterfalls, lighting, and landscaping. We used the paddleboats, kayaks, bikes, canoes, and SUP boards. I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness. The room had a few hairs in the bathroom once we arrived but it is really rare to find a hotel that does not. The walk in shower was wonderful. We loved the view but would have liked to been able to sit on the balcony but there was only room for standing. The drink and food prices were quite high but I am sure they are on par with other resorts of this caliber. One drink, Boozy Beach, we purchased was disgusting. My husband forced himself to drink the $15 beverage. The frozen drinks at the outside bar were not mixed. The bartender simply poured the rum on top and I spilled half of the rum trying to stir it up. Food was pretty good but we only got kid's meals which was a decent size for an adult too. Only taking a star away because of the outrageous resort and parking fees. $25 per night to park plus $38+ resort fees is $63/day added to the cost of the nightly room charge. If we has not gotten a decent deal from staying during the week, we would have never stayed here. I do understand most resorts in Orlando have one or both fees but I feel it is a bait and switch which looking on Expedia or Priceline Hyatt looks like it is only $30-40 more per night but in reality it is nearly $100 more per night when the required fees are added. However, we made sure to use most of the extra amenities to get our money's worth. We would stay here again if the price is low. Otherwise, we will be staying on Disney or Universal property. It is worth mentioning that we did not visit any theme parks this trip as I would suggest not paying so much for a hotel of you will be at the parks all day.
