Blue Seas Courtyard is a charming, exceptionally clean and well maintained property in a great location. It is on peaceful El Mar Drive, a quiet tree lined boulevard with easy access to beaches and a short walk to the restaurants in the heart of Lauderdale by the Sea. The owners obviously have made every effort to make this unique property perfect in every way. The common areas are beautifully landscaped; the rooms are spacious, clean and cozy; amenities ( beach chairs and umbrellas, washer/dryer, bicycles, outside shower and pool, lounge chairs) all provide everything you would need for a relaxing beach week vacation. The owners and manager (Gary) are very welcoming and helpful. I have been coming to Lauderdale by the Sea for over 50 years, and it’s old Florida low rise charm appeal to me; Murphy’s hamburgers and Mack’s Grove are gone but there is a vibrant core of new restaurants and bars centered at A1A and Commercial that are fun and great for people watching. Nearby Publix for groceries makes it an easy stay for a week without renting a car. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet and beautiful boutique hotel in LBTS.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Room was very clean and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. The kitchen and bathroom had everything that you need. The entire hotel (inside and out) is decorated with colorful and unique pottery and artwork. The lighting around the pool in the evening is incredible. Walking distance to Publix, CVS, Dunkin, and many restaurants and bars. Many people walking by this hotel were jealous because they were staying in large sterile accommodations and wished they had booked with Blue Seas Courtyard instead. We will definitely be back again.

This hotel was perfect for many reasons. The property is so well maintained, and you truly feel you are staying in a Mexican hacienda. You are centrally located so you can walk to the beach, the restaurants and food stores. Christie was so nice and wonderful to deal with and Gary was always available if we had any requests. We will definitely be back in the future. We would strongly recommend staying at Blue Seas.

Omg! I almost don’t want to write this review about this gem of a hotel! It will be even harder to book a room! lol! We just visited last week. Let me say we’ve been going to area for years visiting family n usually stay w them. But we’d pass this quaint boutique hotel and want to stay. We are SO glad we did! Booked for next year as well! The attention to detail from the place as a whole, to the exquisite artwork, colorful gardens n pottery, light fixtures surrounding the place n pool, to the rope lighting, the rooms (expertly decorated, clean n neat! TY to Christina! What a doll!) and the grounds! Mexican Hacienda style done at its finest! Gary, the manager, literally runs around all day making sure everything is perfect! The man doesn’t sit still for a minute! He really makes you feel at home. Last but not least.. THE OWNERS! Cristie n Marc! They put their ALL into this place n it shows! She’s around talking w all her guests, (who btw, have been going for YEARS!) really make you feel welcome. ** You see this place on the list of hotels, book it!! You won’t be sorry!

The reviews are accurate, Blue Seas is lovely. This motel is set is a small beach town, just north of Ft. Lauderdale. The town has a ton of personality, diverse dining options and is more quiet than its neighbor to the south. It has a small town feel and a very safe feeling to it. The town is extremely walkable, you could possibly opt out of a car rental. The BSC has only a few rooms, so the fellow guests become familiar and we found all to be very nice. The decor is whimsical and bright, it’s just enjoyable to hang out there. We opted for unit #12, stairs required to access. It was spacious for 2. The unit was very clean and in excellent condition. The furniture/carpeting seemed new. No need to rent chairs or an umbrella, they are available for you. Beach access is a short walk down a quiet street. The pool is just steps from every room. The manager, Gary, is extremely personable and checks in often. I cannot say enough good things about our stay, it was just very relaxing!

The apartment was so spacious and so clean! I always travel with my Lysol spray, because you never know what you might come across, especially in a beach town. Blue Seas Courtyard was immaculate. (No Lysol needed) And it had everything; hair dryer, iron, ironing board, large closets with hangers, plenty of storage in large dressers, nice kitchen, nice table and chairs, nice size fridge, sink and stove. A washer and dryer on site with a heavy duty laundry basket that was provided. And EVERYTHING was decorated so tastefully and was well appointed. I love bright and cheery and everywhere I looked at inside and out made me smile. Incredible pool. Plenty of deck chairs, tables, gliders and chaises around the refreshing pool. Every aspect was whimsical and entertaining. The light up courtyard decor was magical at night. Gary was by far the best manager, always helpful, kind and caring. And he had anything needed done in record time. I really wished I could have met Cristie. What an awesome and beautiful place you have created at Blue Seas Courtyard. This place hits it out of the ballpark. Clean, spacious, relaxing, and the mattress was better than the one we sleep on at home! So very glad we stayed here and we will again. It is hard to describe a place that allows you to escape yet envelopes you in comfort and safety. Every time I come, Blue Seas is spot on. The manager is so kind and helpful. The owners are welcoming. The grounds provide an enclosed atmosphere of southern Florida. I live the beach is just one easy block away. New to me is the circuit free shuttle that will transport you to the local eateries and stores.

Just stayed at Blue Seas, a small boutique hotel in Lauderdale by the Sea.
First lets get the technical stuff out of the way:
Spotless! Friendly! Directly across street from beach, no view but three minute walk to the sand Pool, perfect size and heated Walking distance to town Free parking Beach towels, beach chairs and bikes. Full size shampoo/conditioner and body wash so no need to pack. Hairdryer Full kitchen Currently daily maid service is not in service due to covid. But they did come mid stay and empty garbage and bring fresh towels Publix is a block away for groceries
Absolutely charming, owners were so sweet. We had a poolside room with a king bed. Bed and pillows so comfortable.
Met so many fun couples sitting around the pool in the morning while having our coffee and at night when relaxing and taking in the ambiance.
We will return!

The grouper at 101 Ocean. And check out all the happy hours around town.
This is the perfect place to stay for couples.

I can’t say enough good things about Lauderdale by the Sea and Blue Seas Courtyard. I took my daughter here to celebrate her sweet 16. First of all it was very easy to get here. We took a direct flight from Boston to FLL, grabbed an Uber for a short ride and were at Blue Seas Courtyard late at night. This was no problem at all, our key was waiting and we went right to our little apartment and slept like babies on memory foam beds. The property is a gem. It’s clean, quiet and the Mexican decorations and design are so unique. The location is amazing. We were a few min walk from a gorgeous beach. Not crowded at all, warm, clear water. We used the beach chairs and umbrella every day. It was a 6 min walk to Publix, although you’d never know it by how quiet and “beachy” the BSC is. I would walk to Publix and grab some snacks and drinks for the beach and the occasional in-room meal, and put them in the full size refrigerator. The center of town was a 5 min walk. Great restaurants, shops, and most important for me, as a mom traveling with a teenage girl, it felt very safe to walk everywhere (you don’t need a rental car here!). It was also so convenient to walk back to our room to put leftovers in the frige and then head back into town. There were a few other places that one could stay that we walked by, and I am sooo glad we didn’t. They were much louder with small kids running around and yelling by the pool and adults milling around drinking and smoking. Blue Seas was much quieter. The owners were so accommodating and easy to reach with any questions. They even have a room that you can put your belongings and change in if you want to squeeze as many hours at the beach before your departing flight. As a bonus, their resident Sheltie is a love. I can’t wait to come back here again. I can admittedly be a hard person to please (lol) and this checked all the boxes and then-some!

What a lovely review, thank you! You have so aptly described the "beachy way of life" Lauderdale by the Sea and the Hacienda offers our guests. We actually enjoyed our peaceful covid business break so much that we decided to limit small children at the Hacienda and cater mainly to adults (with the exception of our regular families). I rented three rooms for my small family group paying approximately $5,000.00. The service was terrible and their attitudes were negative. I was told the sheets were changed only every 5 days and room cleaning every other day if they even had time (only 12 units total). The office manager actually referred to my mother as an "old lady" and my son as "that kid" very negatively. There was NEVER a smile or a thank you. The attitude was that they were bothered by everything and anything, always looking and glaring at us for having fun - terrible!

We were expecting this review and are not surprised. This was a return visit for the group organizer who enjoyed her stay so much in the spring that she booked 4 additional rooms for summer. However, this larger group included people who's loud, late night pool parties, among other things I'd rather not mention, were causing complaints from other guests. Our hotel is typically quiet and tranquil and, as owners, we live on the property so it was up to us to monitor the situation. Basically, the Hacienda was not a good fit for this type of group.
