Spent the day it was lovely. Female bartender at the sweet cheeks was very nice. One of the residents was a little rude but every club has its dunce. I was gassy so I didn't socialize much. The wife enjoyed talking to a fellow Bonnie Raitt fan and the boy who played songs at the pool was kind enough to play some Bonnie Raitt.
This was our first visit to Cypress Cove and we could not be happier. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as they made sure any of our needs were met. The property is very large with a variety of activities to keep you busy if you choose so or if not the pool was really nice as well (this is where we spent most of our time). Cheeks had really good food with nice sized portions (the fries are amazing) nice bartenders who know how to make a drink. We had a premium villa and it was spotless and once again large. The bed was really comfy. We liked it so much we are going to get a membership. Cannot say enough positives. When you visit do yourself a favor and get a massage at Silver Lining as we have had massages at many places be this was the best one we ever had Tammy and Elizabeth took any stress we had left out of our bodies.…
Two years Covid-19 restriction are over...... Now again from the Netherlands for a winterbreak to Cypress Cove!!! After so many times in a hotelroom now staying in a "villa suite" for 3 weeks..... formidabel. We loved Cypress Cove since our first visit in 1995.....
We love Cypress Cove. The resort itself if excellent. So many things to do. This year we noticed lots of new table and grass games in the pool area. We so appreciate Dave the DJ for being such a great DJ, game show host, emcee, entertainment leader etc. . He really enjoys his work and it shows. It's infectious. Dave and his games and activities are the main attraction around the west pool. We really enjoyed the live music on Sunday afternoon at the west pool as well. Great duo. There always seems to be something fun going on if you want to join. The pools are immaculate, The lake and beach are also wonderful. All of the staff are great and very friendly and helpful. We really liked out suite. Chris, one of the bartenders at Cheeks is great! Very friendly and great energy.
From the moment we arrived the staff was fantastic. Our luggage had been lost at the airport so it was nice to be here. Once settled into our king suite, which was great, we made our way to the pool. The temperature was warm and the swim was great. DJ Conner was playing some great tunes. While we were out,the staff made us up a fantastic gift basket of toiletries, wine, beer, snacks and a couple of t shirts. It was so appreciated. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The entertainment was great. The food at Cheeks was great. The portions were very generous,we often split our order. Everyone we talked to so loved being here. We will definitely be back.
Overall we loved our stay at Cypress Cove. The facilities themselves were excellent. While we were there, they were in the process of renovating the pool areas. The painters were working hard to give all of the buildings a fresh Carribean vibe that totally suited the environment. The two pools were excellent. There is a small rectangular pool that tends to be the quiet area and the large free form pool that is more of an entertainment zone. Our only negative comment would be they don't enforce the rules about reserving chairs. I walked the dog by the pool at 07:30 and already every chair with the potential for shade had towels reserving the seats. The bar, Cheeks, was a great venue. You could bill your purchases straight to your room/site and they had a full bar and decent menu. The burger portions were huge, my wife and I should have split ours. Other facilities included the private beach and lake. There are pedalboats, paddleboards and kayaks that you can take out. They also have tennis, pickleball and golf available. My wife and I also went to the Spa for a massage one day. The masseuse was great and the prices reasonable. I give them a huge shoutout for our customer service at departure. We had to cut our trip short by two days due to the approach of Hurricane Ian. I stopped by the office to let them know so that if they had to account for the guests on site at any point they would know we had left. I never asked them for a discount and frankly did not expect one but they were kind enough to take those two days off of my bill. That act alone will ensure my return. As far as Nudism goes, this location was a great venue. I am a Nudist at heart look to be free from clothing as often as possible. My bride is a little more reserved, she is happy to enjoy the freedom at the pool but otherwise likes her coverup. Cypress Cove's clothing optional rules allowed both of us to feel very comfortable in their prefered state of dress/undress. They are clothing optional throughout that entire facility and you are free to be nude at any point. The only required location is in the pools and hot tubs. The crowd while we were there were mainly nude, but enough had some level of clothing that my wife never felt out of place. I did only give them four stars and saved my reasons for that until the end. We were there in our RV and the condition of our campsite was enough of a disappointment that we almost left before experiencing all of the amazing positives I listed above. When we checked in I asked which way I should approach the site and the person booking me in told me they did not know as they had never been over to that part of the resort. When we did get to our site the roads were very narrow and made for a tight turn. Our site was a mud bath, there is a concrete pad for the patio but the RV parking is on grass. In addition it site was not even close to level. There was junk lumber left on my site from the last renter, although I ended up appreciating that as I was able to put it under my tires to keep them from sinking. The RV's around us were aging and have been allowed to collect a huge variety of clutter. It looked fairly trashy in several places. I know from speaking to many of the regulars that the Cove is working hard to update and improve many of it facilities and we certainly saw that by the pool. It is my hope that they have cleaning up the campground on the agenda. My recommendation would be widen the road, even 12-24 inches would give people a better turning capacity and reduce wear and tear on the camp sites. Then put down gravel where you expect the RV's to park to again reduce wear and tear and improve drainage. Finally look at what rules you have in place for the condition of campsites, I dont like campgrounds with overly intrusive rules but some effort to keep sites from looking like junkyards would help. Overall we loved our time at the Cove and spoke often during our visit of plans to return.…
I stayed overnight last Saturday, September 17, 2022. This is a very nice resort. Check in was easy and I was given a short tour. I spent the night in a king suite. The room was terrific! It was a one bedroom suite and was well stocked. The suite was extemely clean, there were two large screen televison with a good channel selction. The resort has two pools which are close to the rooms. The customers seem nice and welcoming. I ate at their restaurant, appropriately named Cheeks. I had the fish and chips. The fries were good. I will be back.
This was our first visit to Cypress Cove. Everyone was very friendly, staff was very accommodating. Grounds were clean and well kept. Bath houses were very clean. Our only gripe was the restaurant was closed for renovations. Cheeks poolside bar served very good food and drinks at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back again!
Just spent another week at the Cove and you can never get tired of it. I'm amazed at the negative reviews and I'm just glad to see that the positives outnumber them by far. The place is clean and well-maintained and the facility is constantly being upgraded and modernized. Whether you want to relax in the sun by the east pool or beach, or party up with the people at the west pool, you have choices. The food and drinks at Cheeks are great - OK, one minor complaint - bring back the reuben sandwich!.
Nice resort. Employees treat you like family, always happy to see you😘. Visitors and residents are welcoming. Food on property is really good, drinks are good. Decent activities, just need to add water volleyball 😃 Definitely need to check this one out.
